- 10 CCC Auditions Per Week

Please focus on your projection while reading this script. Imagine that you are speaking to a gymnasium full of people and you don't have a mic. Remember to take a nice deep breath to ensure you have enough air to get you through the line. Don't worry about editing out problems or doing noise removal as I am here to help where you are now not a finished product level. Please try to record everything in 1 take AFTER YOU HAVE FINISHED YOUR MANY OUT LOUD REHEARSALS before you record. You can also delete recordings you don't want to share with us and only send a complete one that you are ok with.. You can try multiple times but the final recording should be uncut once through the spot, and if breaths and flubs get int the way THAT'S OK! FLUB(have a problem)? Pause, breathe and redo THAT line/section until it is "right" and keep going. This will help you with learning how to manage your air better and will apply to all future homework scripts.

- Peer Review: Please provide at least 1 feedback to someone who has not received a feedback yet on the homework link. Seeing others' feedback and providing feedback yourself is a great way to learn as well.

It's great to see you guys are hanging out as a class on Discord, so lets keep that up.  Group support is fantastic and you will each learn a ton from each other. This is meant to be a safe and supportive space as if the weekly class portal. Constructive criticism is great, we learn a lot from feedback and each other. Brendan also included a fun quiz for you to take at your leisure.  You don't hand this in, but hang on to your answers, and revisit them at the end of this course to check your progress.

When you’ve completed the quiz, hold on to your answers, not needed to be shown/handed in! You will find that many things covered in this course will address these issues. It’s also a great idea to ask your family and friends how they hear your voice and if there is anything they think stands out about your voice, both positive and "negative" as it can all be used.

This is also an easy side assignment JUST FOR YOU:  Just record yourself having a conversation. With someone or alone, but focus on being NATURAL. "Conversational" reads are highly sought after so KNOW what you sound like when just carrying on a conversation. These aren't things I'm grading or needing to hear, but they are fantastic lessons to be learned as a result.  So no pressure - just do it when you can!  Do this again at the end of the course and see if there is a difference.
