PGR as Textpost Part 2

Operation: PGR Fandub Project
Project Overview
Punishing: Gray Raven (战双帕弥什) or simply PGR is a 3D post-apocalyptic and sci-fi action RPG developed and published by Kuro Games (库洛游戏).
The story takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, where humanity had to escape the devastating force known as the Punishing Virus to a space station called Babylonia. Under the leadership of the Babylonia Task Force, the story centers around the squad known as the Gray Ravens, led by their commandant as they fight the Virus to take back Earth for humanity.
The goal for this project is the dubbing of the initial arc between the prologue to Chapter 8 of Punishing: Gray Raven. While there are voiced characters, the visual novel sections of the main story lack voicing, and I thought it would be a fun opportunity to try and voice these, both as a means to create voiceacting work while also allowing more accessibility to the game this way.
If it goes well, I’ll move on to doing certain interludes and possibly even dubbing the second arc and more in the future.
A fair warning: this will be a fairly lengthy project to work on, so please keep that in mind when auditioning for the roles/picking the roles.
Trigger Warnings (Please be sure you are comfortable with these themes before proceeding. This is a post apocalypse game so dark themes will appear): Gore, Injury, Violence, Self-Harm, Suicidal Themes.
I will be warning actors again about these themes once reaching those scenes so please be advised.
Audition Requirements:
Read AABBCC. Please do 2-3 takes per line. This will allow me to determine the range of your voice in terms of performance.
Please submit your audition as “YourName_CharacterName”
Please be mindful of background noise in your recordings. Any mic is fine, but please keep background noise to a minimum.
Please provide a way of contact that you prefer. Discord and email are preferable, but if you have a different way you’d like to be contacted, please let me know in your submission!
You do not have to know about Punishing Gray Raven nor need to play it prior to auditioning, as each of the audition roles will provide a little more explanation for the characters to prepare your audition, but be willing to learn more about your character once accepted into the role. I will be able to provide information regarding the character, both in summary as well as giving videos about the character’s story (this may vary between 5 mins to 30 mins), depending on what you would prefer.
You may also link your demo reel/voice sample if you have one, aside from your audition! It also helps me keep in mind the voices of characters that may appear in the future in case you do not get casted as the ones presented on this casting call.
More than happy for you to adlib and improv if you feel that it’s in character!
Depending on voice actors' preference and availability, we may hold live recording sessions during recording period.
At the bottom of the description, you will find a list of characters divided out as major vs minor roles. Minor roles are defined as characters who will only have a few lines (~3-5 lines), while major roles are more recurring, even if only seen for a short period of time throughout the story.
If you would like feedback for your performance, please let me know in your descriptions. I'm more than happy to offer advice/feedback if you need.

Happy Holidays and a Gift from Cast to You all!
It's been a couple of months now since we've closed the casting, but we've got quite a lot of updates !
Prologue has been completed for editing! The VAs have been working diligently to get the project on a roll and I am so happy for their work thus far so I hope you all look forward to it.
Another thing: while this wasn't a part of the project's original plan, this became a new side work for the project and I am happy to announce that we have begun dubbing some textpost memes for the characters of PGR, with our very first video out now: https://youtu.be/pH5ntKcMLRs

Casting Closed!
We have officially casted all characters and with that, the casting is now closed! Thank you everyone for all your auditions. It genuinely was a hard process to pick actors for the role because there was just so much talent sent in, so I'm really grateful to you all for your interest in the project. I'll be sure to keep y'all in mind in the future for any future projects I have in mind.
For those of you who are just interested in the project itself, I will be posting these videos once post production has been completed on my Youtube channel @fabricatedghost, and I will continue to update progress on this project through here and through my Bluesky/Twitter (@fabricatedghost) or feel free to keep in touch via Discord @eveningshards.

Auditions Closed! What to Expect and Resubmissions
We’ve finally made it to the deadline! Once again, I want to say thank you so much to everyone for your interest in my fandubbing project for Punishing: Gray Raven! When I first started, I didn’t think it’d get that much attention but the fact that we’ve got more than 200 auditions is still pretty insane and baffling to me — not to mention the amount of talent I’ve been seeing with all the auditions that have been put in. You’re all really amazing, and sincerely, I hope we can work together soon in the future.
Some last few things and what to expect for this upcoming week or so:
Resubmissions:
For those of you who haven’t gotten feedback from me just yet, my goal is to finish feedback between later today and tomorrow morning. That way, you’ll have some time to resubmit your auditions if you’d like to adjust them.
Resubmissions are still welcome up until November 9th. After I provide feedback for you, please let me know if you’re interested in resubmitting so that I can keep the role open and wait for your audition before assigning and finalizing the cast. I want to be fair to you but I also want to be mindful of my own timeline regarding the project, so please keep me updated.
What To Expect with Casting:
Some characters haven’t had any new auditions so I will be going forward with casting these ones, but after resubmissions have been completed, I will finalize the rest of the cast.
In the next coming days, I will be reaching out to the actors via Discord (@eveningshards) to check in and see if they are still interested in the project, so please be on the look out for that. I will also be going over content warnings (as per last update) and to check in accordingly.
Once casting has been all set, I will be sending a link over to the Discord server where updates and announcements for the project will be done with further instructions and details.

Again, it was such a huge shock and I’m genuinely really happy with how auditions turned out, and it’s been an honor to converse with you all through feedback and replies. It’s amazing to see just how much talent there is in this community and I’m so happy to be a part of that.

Content Warnings
Hello again! More updates these days since we are now steering toward the end of the auditions' runtime, but I received a question regarding rating and it did made me realize that I failed to write the trigger warnings for actors who may not be comfortable with voicing certain things in this project, and while I will advise and warn again during recording period, it was still worth warning again now.
This project takes place during the post apocalypse and therefore will cover a lot of dark themes Injury, blood, and violence will be seen in the content, but there are some moments of talking about self-harm and have suicidal themes. Please keep yourself safe and refrain from auditioning if these make you uncomfortable/are triggering for you.
Because I do realize that this warning is coming in late, I will be asking the actors I pick if they are comfortable with these themes before going forward. I apologize for my ignorance on this matter.
These warnings have now also been added to the description.

Mid to high range in female voice. Hoping for a more soft spoken/quiet voice with a flatter direction in terms of expressing emotions since she’s a more serious character. So if you can aim to have more subtle emotions with your lines, that’d be great! For voice reference, the English voice is a good idea of what I’m looking for.

A mysterious figure who is part of the antagonist group called the Ascension Network. She has an apparent past and connection with Lucia, but little is known about her.
This will be a very minor role with her appearing mainly in the prologue. Mid range voice and quiet but threatening/powerful when she does speak. English is a good reference for her.
For this project, she will have a minor role. However, if the project continues, she has the potential to be a more major role.

Midrange young female, with a timid but determined quality to the voice. Generally warm/caring but a little awkward as well in the way she speaks. Both the ENG and CN are good ideas of what I’m looking for in terms of voice quality, but also very open to interpretation.

One of the Tank Constructs of the reconnaissance squad Strike Hawk. Friendly and highly energetic, he always likes to hang around the Gray Raven, sometimes causing trouble (usually doesn’t mean to). He’s a pretty goofy character, but overall, he's very sweet and cares a lot.
Highly energetic male voice (loud and rowdy), incredibly expressive, mid to low range in tone. Can be playful but is very earnest in the way he thinks — near childlike innocent.
I’m looking for something more towards the JP voice in terms of performance, but really, all the voices in all languages are perfect, and I am happy for your own interpretation!

An alter ego that awakens when Kamui gets infected by the Punishing Virus. He’s a minor role within this and acts a bit like a rival/antagonist to Kamui during this time, both putting Kamui down but also helping Kamui fight the virus within him.
Mid to low male voice. With everything he’s gone through, you’re aiming for someone who’s bitter towards the world and filled with nothing but hatred towards it. He is capable of lightening up, but there’s still that skepticism in his voice. Both the ENG and CN are good references for what I’m aiming for, but open to interpretation!

He can be very theatrical and over the top as an antagonist, so it’s hard to tell whether his words are true or false.
Very expressive male voice. Very theatrical and playful to a point of near arrogance. He sounds like he always has a smile on his face — on the brink of a laughter — that it’s hard to tell if what he says is true or not. I’m looking for something more towards the ENG dub of Roland, but I am also very open to interpretation.

Captain of the reconnaissance team Strike Hawk. He acts as a concerned leader over Kamui during the arc. He is a stereotypical leader type — proper and firm, but through his care towards his squad members, he can also appear to be awkward and overly doting.
Medium-low male voice who speaks properly but is awkwardly stiff. Think of someone who’s only really been taught how to speak properly and is struggling to find the right words to say. The original ENG voice has a British accent but I’m honestly open to people’s interpretation. If you want a specific voice I’m trying to aim for, most likely between JP and CN.

A calm mid to low range male voice. Very distant sounding with subtle emotions underneath. He does not have a canon voice as far as I know from playing the story, but I imagine him sounding most like Pod 042 from Nier: Automata or Screwllum from Honkai Star Rail.

The leader of the Ascendants. She despises humans and wish for their downfall, but as for why? It is uncertain. The main antagonist of Punishing: Gray Raven.
Mid to high range young girl voice — think very childlike in sound. Breathy and flat in delivery/cold and weary. I’m looking for something more similar to English but open to interpretation.
For this project, she will have a minor role. However, if the project continues, she has the potential to be a more major role.
