The straight man and tech guy of the Gray Raven squad. He’s the most logical of the three in the Gray Raven, but don’t mistake it as him being cold; he’s a lot more caring than he lets on and it shows a lot when it comes to people he cares about, especially his younger brother Murray.

Midrange young adult male. Usually aloof/flat if not mildly snarky and lecturing, but capable of softening up in sincere moments. For voice reference, I’m looking more for something similar to his ENG performance.

  • (lecturing/scolding) Yes, you did. But for this, you’ve been heavily wounded, our most important Commandant nearly died, and not only so, even Liv’s lost her combat capabilities.

  • (lecturing/caring) Don’t push yourself. Extended mind linking will cause you harm. How many times do I have to tell you?

  • (matter of fact) Leading the team? I’m more than qualified.

No worries! I'll get back to your audition as soon as I can, but since email is more preferrable for you, I'd be happy to get in contact through DMs about your email should anything come up. But thank you for your interest!

Back with feedback and comments for your audition. Once again, thank you so much for putting your audition in as Lee. I really appreciated listening through it. I appreciate you doing the different takes per line and trying to make them different from one another. I also feel that your softer voice gives a more caring personality to Lee, which works really well for the second line as that is meant to show more of Lee's caring personality. I also can hear a tad bit of tiredness from the worry in your second line, too which adds more to the delivery of the line. I also enjoy your last line which is more casual in its sound and it's a perfect basis for Lee.

However, I do feel like the bluntness and snarkiness of Lee's character is missing from your performance. The first line I was hoping for more of a scolding and criticizing line, like you're telling someone off, listing all the things they did wrong and how they compromised the mission. Your takes felt a little too calm if not maybe worried, which isn't bad and as I said it worked really well for the second line and the third line, but not so much for the first one. I think it helps with these sorts of lines to make the facial expression when you're mad -- arch your brows, raise your voice, get loud, etc. Whatever helps you get into that emotion to be critical. Maybe even pointing at the imaginary person to really make it more cutthroat! Body and facial expression helps a lot with selling the delivery in your voice as that is also very much key to acting beyond just voice performance.

If you're interested at all, I'd love to hear you try another take at Lee with all things I said in mind. If not, I appreciate you putting in your audition and I hope we have a chance to work together in the future!

Appreciate the input, I will see what I can do. May have to cut back on the softness of my voice to a smidge closer to my normal but doesn't mean I can't figure it out. I'll shoot another attempt your way after work
