Operation: PGR Fandub Project
shageru47 for Roland
One of the members of the antagonistic group the Ascendants. He is the right hand man of the leader Luna and is always the one going out recruiting more people into the Ascension Network. He can be very theatrical and over the top as an antagonist, so it’s hard to tell whether his words are true or false.
Very expressive male voice. Very theatrical and playful to a point of near arrogance. He sounds like he always has a smile on his face — on the brink of a laughter — that it’s hard to tell if what he says is true or not. I’m looking for something more towards the ENG dub of Roland, but I am also very open to interpretation.

(Dramatic, playful) Wonder what my wish is? The end of the world, the ravages of the Punishing Virus, the suffering of all living souls on Earth... How do you like my answer? Is it in line with your perception of me?
(thoughtful, almost spiteful, and half playing into) Loyalty. What a good word! Stop thinking and follow the orders of others, letting them decide on what to do. Feels so easy. Oh? Don't give me that look! I was just missing a former "friend" of mine.
(trying to be sincere): To have a reason to live is a dream that hasn't changed for me. A play, the AscNet, they were the reasons others gave me. But now you ask me to give myself a reason? This is such a cruel thing... an honor for a jester.
Thank you so much for your auditions!
Your urgency and commanding voice for Commandant were really nicely done, but I do feel like the pacing for your Commandant was too fast that it affected the softer more comforting line of the second one, where you're trying to comfort a worried or crying friend -- so patience and slowing down would have helped really sell this line.
I just loved how much sass you put into your first line for Lee. I also found that your voice softened nicely for the second line, so nice job there. Again the only thing for this one is that your pacing was a little too fast that it didn't really allow the line to breathe and I wasn't able to really appreciate your performance to its fullest because of that.
Your Roland however is nicely paced and well needed for someone as dramatic as Roland where having the words sit and linger for the audience to digest what you say is necessary. You did a good job with making this performance very playful and handling the third line with more care and seriouesness. I did hear some noise/distortion here and there with your audio which wasn't present in your other recordings, but it's nothing too serious that took away from your performance. So nicely done!
Because you submitted before the deadline, you're welcome to resubmit a rerecording with feedback in mind up until November 9th, but please reply and let me know if you are interested in doing that. Afterwards, casting will be finalized and I will be reaching out to actors via Discord to confirm their roles. Thank you !
Thank you for taking the time to listen! I appreciate the feedback and I would like to do a resubmission. If you'll allow me, I'll have it done before the 9th. With Roland, would you like a resubmission as well? I'm not sure what happened with my recording but I'll happily do his again as well.
Sure thing! Then I'll wait till the 9th for your new audition. I feel like your Roland is fine, but I just thought to point it out in case something happened with your audio or set up. Looking forward to hearing your resubmission!
