Donkey Kong Meets Phoenix Wright: Legend of the Crystal Turnabout
Project Overview
If you would like to view the original Casting Call on Google Docs, you can find it here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1sjRlpscEnGfs4HN_5ogQ72LT0UanlI_gwPQr6tnlYOo/edit?usp=sharing
From 1996 to 2000, the world was graced with a television show inspired by the Donkey Kong video games. As with many 90s game adaptations, many liberties were taken with the source material, but what we ultimately got was a goofy and hilarious series that never took itself too seriously. It's been twenty years since then... what could all of our friends on Kongo Bongo Island be up to these days?
Phoenix Wright and Maya Fey of Ace Attorney fame decide to take a well-earned vacation to a remote island in the South Pacific which has just opened its borders to a fledgling tourism industry. Whatever they were expecting, it certainly wasn't talking apes and crocodiles!
And, of course, wherever these two go, misadventure is soon to follow. The islanders discover that their legendary relic, the Crystal Coconut, has been shattered! Who else could have committed the crime but Donkey Kong, who they caught red handed? To save their new friend from being banished without a fair trial, Phoenix and Maya will take matters to the courtroom for a wacky court proceeding unlike any other!
And don't worry: just like the show, there will be plenty of musical numbers!
Here it comes! BANANA SLAMMA!
Hello! My screen name is Nitemar (or just Nite), and I'm the writer of this story. My ultimate vision is to see this story brought to life in the form of an audio drama/podcast. In filling the roles of this story with voice talents I really want to upload this finished production to the internet with the intention of sharing my passion to entertain others.
I am looking for a strong commitment more than anything, please. Especially with the main character roles, there are a lot of lines that need recording. It will also probably take a good amount of time investment to possibly re-visit and re-record lines if they need slight adjustments.
General Notes on Auditioning
- This story is a crossover between the series Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney as well as the Donkey Kong series. Though there are plenty of jokes and references to the Donkey Kong video games, this story is specifically based on the Donkey Kong Country TV cartoon that ran from 1996-2000.
- It is a comedy focused on Donkey Kong being accused of a crime, to which vacationers Phoenix Wright and Maya Fey take up his defense in a wacky courtroom trial.
- The original story can be found on Archive of Our Own, which I will link here. Please feel free to give it a read! The plot and events will be exactly the same as the written story, but there is currently a script version of the story being created as we speak. Anyone who participates in this audio drama will have access to this script.
- The script format you will be reading from will be somewhat shorter than the story as it is posted. A lot of the text and descriptions will be cut out or simplified for the audio production, and each character role is color-coded for ease of reading.
- An approximation of the length of this finished production will be 12 episodes, ranging from half an hour to an hour each. Each episode will have music and sound effects. Hopefully it won't take me more than a few months to do the editing to complete the finished audio drama, depending on how long it takes to fill all of the roles and how fast I work. When I fill the entire cast, I will be able to give an estimation on when the production will be finished and ready for posting. I will probably release episodically as the episodes are finished.
- There are musical numbers involved! Many of the roles may involve singing. I am ok with characters having a second, separate voice talent for singing if we need to. If you want to audition for only speaking, only singing, or for both, just let me know in your audition.
- This is a non-profit project. I am just a fan of these video games, and I want to share my passion through this audio drama. Making money is not a part of it. All roles are voluntary and I have no plans of monetizing this project in any way. I don't want to get sued by Nintendo……
- I have not yet fully decided where the finished production will be hosted, but I am considering:
- Youtube
- Soundcloud
- I am open to other suggestions

Maya is a spunky go-getter who is always enthusiastic in everything she does, and is a strong source of energy for the story. Her jokes and commentary keep the audience hooked.
She and Phoenix are the two deuteragonists. Compared to Nick, who is usually the "straight guy" of their comedy duo, Maya is often the "funny guy," who keeps Nick on his toes with her antics.
She is goofy and often a source of comic relief, but this is usually due to how her head can get lost in the clouds. Despite being a bit "out-there" in her unique way of seeing things, she's very sharp and brainstorms with Nick in the courtroom to help him solve the various mysteries.
The following are all relatively serious lines, spoken in non-comedic situations.
"Oh boy, here we go..."
"We need to really pick this testimony apart with surgical precision. We need to be armed with as many tools as possible to solve this mystery."
"Don't get distracted by their antics, Nick."The following are more lighthearted lines.
"That ape sure can play a saxophone!"
"Nick? *pause* Nick! *pause* NICK!! *pause* You went into courtroom mode again…"
"Fun fact: the ramp to board a ship is called a 'gangway!' We better start using pirate lingo, now that we're on a ship! Arrh!!"The last batch are various emotional lines.
Scared:
"Is that a g-g-ghost!?"
Excited:
"WOOOOOOOOO!!! DID YOU SEE ME, NICK!? DID YOU WATCH ME EUROCURVE INTO A BACKSIDE 360 DOUBLE HAND DRAG BEFORE THAT LAST POWDER SLASH!?!?!"
Angry:
"You almost KILLED him! I'll kick your butt into next week, you crazy cockatiel!"
Bittersweet/happy (this is the last scene):
"I'm tearing up a bit here, Nick! What a wild adventure this has been!"
Some Notes:
- Just a reminder: you can apply to be the singing voice of a character without necessarily applying to be their speaking voice, or vice versa. Just let me know in your audition email.
- I have included instrumental versions of the songs for you to sing along with, but please do not record your voice over the instrumental track. I need to be able to hear your voice by itself while considering who to choose.
- You do not have to record multiple takes of the songs unless you want to. For the most part, you can just hit me with your best take!
"Pursuing The True Japes"

**Note: Clearly I have a male voice and this song is for a female character, so this is only to really showcase the basic rhythm and how the words would be spoken, ideally Maya would sing the song in her own voice**MAYA:
We are swinging on vines
We’ll finish this investigation
Come on, the chase is afoot
Don't you know, Nick, that we have a trial to win?
Searchin’ high and low, on what little that we know
But regardless, hey, we’ll see the truth
Combing combing combing
Following the Crystal Coconut’s trajectory
Learning learning learning
Until we find the crook’s identity
Let us find a clue, chase it down the trail
Make sure that this mystery’s unfurled
Monkeying around won’t help us save DK
He’s locked up for this crime
While we’re here on this island with apes and chimps
We’ll find out what’s false and what’s true
I swim in the sea of the bananas
We’ll search the jungle, pursuing the true japes

Video Examples:
You can pretty much watch any episode for good examples of DK talking. Some choice ones are From Zero to Hero , The Curse of Kongo Bongo , The Legend of the Crystal Coconut , Bug a Booie , and To the Moon Baboon.
The most accurate description I've ever heard of DK's cartoon voice and personality is "the 'hip character' from a 90's after-school special." There's no denying that DK's overall demeanor and personality were very typical of what made a lead cool and appealing to kids in the 90s.
He's very confident, to a fault. He thinks he's the coolest cat on the block, basically. He is going to rule the island someday and he knows that, and he wants everyone else to know it too.
However, as this story progresses, DK takes to heart that he needs to "grow up." In a lot of ways, Legend of the Crystal Turnabout is a story about DK learning how the most important things to him are not his future rulership, but his friends and family.
Here are a few general lines:
"And I'm Donkey Kong! I'm the future ruler of Kongo Bongo! So, on behalf of everyone here... I'd like to give you the warmest welcome we can give!"
"Well, aaaassss future ruler, It should be my duty to spread the mondo awesome culture Kongo Bongo is known for! Dixie, Diddy, and I will all show you the best spots on the island!"DK has a few emphatic lines when he's upset or surprised:
"All you ever do is look down on me! But whenever something goes wrong, who is it you always call to come save the day? Me! That's who!"
"Don't pay any attention to him. I'll have to go have a... a... a real firm conversation with him later, or something."
"PHOENIX, DUCK!!"Donkey Kong has a few monologues near the conclusion of the story.
"Come on, everyone. It's been over 20 years since we started this show. We've had fun times, sad times, stressful times, times filled with laughter, and everything in between. We've learned and grown from the experiences, and we're older and wiser than we were. Maybe we needed the Crystal Coconut to guide us for a time, sure. But do we really still need it now? Who honestly cares about who has the right to rule what? Maybe I was prophesied to be the future ruler, but the only thing that matters to me is enjoying life on Kongo Bongo Island. I want to live each day to the fullest with my fellow islanders, with my best buddies, and with my family! That's really what we are, right? Family!"

Dixie has a youthful and energetic voice. She will need to sound younger and/or higher pitched than Maya Fey or Candy Kong.
She will need to speak clearly and confidently. Because Dixie is the one in charge of Kongo Bongo's new tourism industry, she tries to act professional--but in a way that's fun. She wants to show Nick and Maya the best of Kongo Bongo, but also understands that they are tourists who are enjoying their vacation. She wants to make their stay as happy and memorable as possible.
Dixe's personality is very cheerful and positive. I'd almost call her as excitable as Maya! She is filled to the brim with passion and pride for her island and her best friends she shares it with.
However, she still can act sassy from time to time. She more or less retains the personality she had in the cartoon, just more mature most of the time.
AAA
"You must be Miss Fey. My name is Dixie Kong, nice to meet you! And you must be Mr. Wright! We spoke through email a few times. You're... a lot taller than I expected!"
"I'm sorry as well, haha. It's just not often I see someone shave almost all of their hair off. N-N-Not that I'm judging your fashion choices, of course..."
"That's a great idea, actually! Hmm... let's see how we can divide things up, then..."
"Wow, DK! That's very... mature of you! I didn't realize you could be so responsible."
"Wow… that's a pretty profound thing to say, by his standards. And here I thought he was just a goofus doofus. I guess a lot has changed over the years…"
A few lines with a bit more emotion in them:
"HEY! EVERYONE! OUR GUESTS HAVE ARRIVED!"
"Oh no!! It's King K Rool and his goons!!"
"Then why don't YOU try it, Diddy?"
"Were you eavesdropping on us? How rude!"

Video Examples:
Diddy is in almost every episode of the show, so feel free to explore the series on Yotuube. Some examples are Kong for a Day , Raiders of the Lost Banana , Kong-Fu
Diddy's voice is shrill and almost annoying for lack of a better word. He's like a kid brother.
He is a very non-serious character in most instances. He acts silly, likes pranks, always helps DK out with banana gags, etc.
He is also a fast talker, especially when he's excited or interested in something. When he's worked up, he leaves very little space between punctuations and the next parts of the speech. Example: in the third audition line below which starts with "So, what's our game plan today?" I imagine that each suggestion he speaks more quickly than the last, as if he's getting more excited the more he talks.
In addition, his laugh is very chattery, like you'd expect from a monkey.
The last batch are various emotional lines.
Greeting:
"I have no idea what that means, but cool! Nice to meet you, I'm Diddy Kong!"
Playful/Teasing:
"Even half a mind may be giving you too much credit, hehehehe."
Sad:
"YH-Hey, big guy. You don't mean that, do you? You can't give up, you just can't..."
Reluctant:
"Do we --have-- to?"Diddy is rather excitable, and has some enthusiastic lines:
"Aw, coconuts! That's no fun! We should go in! Shouldn't we go in, DK? Don't you agree?"
"So, what's our game plan today? A frightful foray into the Forbidden Forest? A swing at swashbuckling some scallywags on the salty seas?! A luxurious luau with a limbo line?!!"
"SEE? The bog monster ate DK. *long pause* ACK! THE BOG MONSTER ATE DK!!!!"
"T-T-The Crystal Coconut, i-i-it's...!! BROKEN!!!"
"A UFO?! You mean the ones flown by interplanetary visitor dudes?!"
Video Examples:
Raiders of the Lost Banana , Orangutano , Legend of the Crystal Coconut (This one has him saying his very important line, "To know everything, one must give up everything) , Watch the Skies (also, at 22:50 he says one of his very few "happy" lines) , and Four Weddings and a Coconut.
INKA DINKA DOO TALKS WITH CAPS LOCK TURNED ON.
IT DOESN'T SPEAK OFTEN, BUT WHEN IT DOES SPEAK IT IS USUALLY IMPORTANT. INKA DINKA DOO IS A SOURCE OF WISDOM AND DECISION MAKING ON THE ISLAND. THE OTHER KONGS RESPECT ITS AUTHORITY AND JUDGMENT.
DESPITE ITS LACK OF AN INSIDE VOICE, IT IS NOT MONOTONE ALL THE TIME. IT STILL SHOWS A LITTLE MORE OF A RANGE OF EMOTION THAN YOU WOULD EXPECT. IT JUST DOES IT WHILE SPEAKING LOUDLY.
IT HAS FOUR FACES IT CYCLES THROUGH. NEUTRAL, SMILING, ANGRY, AND EVEN MORE ANGRY. NONE OF THEM PARTICULARLY CHANGE ITS VOICE VERY MUCH, BUT ITS VOLUME GENERALLY GETS HIGHER THE MORE ANGRY IT IS. (PLEASE TRY TO LOWER YOUR MICROPHONE GAIN/SENSITIVITY SO THAT THE LINES BEING SCREAMED DO NOT CLIP THE AUDIO AND/OR BLOW OUT MY EARDRUMS LOL.)
Most of Inka Dinka Doo's lines are angry:
"RRRRAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGHHHHH!!"
"SILENCE. THE DEFENSE MUST NOW CROSS-EXAMINE THE WITNESS."
"ORDER! ORDEEEEEEER!!!!"
Even his lines where he isn't angry, his voice is still loud though:
"THIS IS RELEVANT INFORMATION, IF IT ISN'T PHONY. THE WITNESS WILL NOW AMEND HIS TESTIMONY."
"YOU WILL ALL SHOW THE RULES OF THE COURT OBEISANCE. THERE WILL BE NO FOUL PLAY. INKA DINKA DON'T TEST MY PATIENCE."
"AT LONG LAST, THE TRUTH OF MY WORDS SHALL RING. YOU HAVE GIVEN UP EVERYTHING, IN ORDER TO KNOW EVERYTHING."
Video Examples:
Booty and the Beast , The Legend of the Crystal Coconut , Bug a Booie , Ape-nesia , The Kongo Bongo Festival of Lights
Arrrh! Kaptain Skurvy has the kind o' voice every good pirate deserves! He's loud, he's bombastic, and you can't help but love his cartoon-y antics.
Please note that Skurvy yells quite a lot, so please keep that in mind when considering your mic settings to avoid clipping the audio and such.
He is one of the first characters to start to hint at the overall idea that the characters should really grow out of the same rivalries, tropes, and conflicts that they've been stuck in for decades. He has grown rather insightful over the years, and the implication is strong that he's a lot smarter and more thoughtful than you'd expect based on how he acts. He shows that he can really be a genuinely nice person, despite being wrapped up in an antagonistic role.
All of Skurvy's lines are in a pirate accent
"Aye. How rude of me. I'm Kaptain Skurvy, the meanest, rudest scourge to ever sail the seven seas! Nice ta meet ya, lass."
"YAR! That be WAY too many 'greats!' It was me great-great grandpappy! And that Crystal Coconut be MINE! It's a family heirloom! Me great-great grandpappy--may he choke on Satan's bathwater--hid the prize within the eye of Inka Dinka Doo!"
Skurvy has quite a few emphatic lines with laughing or yelling:
"Bwarharhar! Matey, I be a pirate! What laws HAVEN'T I broken!"
"WHAAAAAT???!!! WHEN?! HOW?!! THAT WAS ME GREAT GREAT GRANDPAPPY'S!!!"
Skurvy also has a handful of monologues across the story:
"Aye. N' before ya go… I have somethin' ta tell ye. Ya seem like swell folks. I wanted ta apologize fer whatever trouble I may be causin' ya, especially on yer vacation. Mateys, I only wanted ta fix me mirror."
"Arrh… don'tcha ever think we should move on from all'a this? From the Crystal Coconut, I mean, arrh. We been feudin' over it fer so long I can't even remember when it all started. Are we really gonna let that shiny rock hold power o'er us ferever? Somethin' in me gut just tells me it may be time ta leave it in the past."

SKURVY:
What would I do with a broken mirror?
What would I do with a broken mirror?
What would I do with a broken mirror?
Early in the morning!
I still need a mirror!
I still need a mirror!
I still need a mirror!
Early in the morning!
I can’t shave without one!
I can’t shave--
*Record Scratch*
K ROOL (Speaking): We don’t care about the mirror anymore; the problem is that you could have stolen the Crystal Coconut…
*Pirate Metal Begins*
SKURVY (Speaking): Arrh! It always be about the Crystal Coconut with you lot! Can’t a buccaneer just steal a mirror in peace?! Arrrrrh!!
DIDDY (Speaking): But you’re always trying to snag the Crystal Coconut, Skurvy!
DIXIE (Speaking): Yeah! What makes this time any different?
SKURVY (Speaking): I’ve been thinkin’… all this talk o’ legacies ‘n’ ownership o’ the blasted thing… maybe this Crystal Coconut business might not be all it be cracked up to be. Arrh…
SKURVY:
When I was but a lad
Me great-great-grandpappy said to me;
Er, I can’t remember well,
But who cares, he can burn in hell!
That coconut belongs to me
It’s been me right from birth
But I be sick o’ me destiny
It be more trouble than it be worth!
SKURVY (Speaking): So, nuts to the coconut, I say! Arrh! I don’t even want the thing anymore!
SKURVY:
Hey! I’m nasty!
Hey! I’m rude!
I’m one bad pirate dude!
But for once I hope you’ll see,
That this time, it wasn’t me!
Hey! I’m nasty!
Hey! I’m rude!
I’m one bad pirate dude!
But for once I hope you’ll see,
That this time, it wasn’t me!

This role can be whatever you would like for it to be. I'm sure everyone has a voice in mind when they think of the ideal narrator, right? This can go just about any direction. You could be as direct and smooth as a news anchor. You could be as dramatic and emphatic as that one voice they get to do the trailer for every movie ever. You could be as emotional and aggressive as the Dragon Ball Z dub narrator. The sky's the limit! I truly look forward to receiving auditions for this role, and I can't wait to see what ends up working the best!

Cranky Kong is elderly and his voice is raspy, scratchy, and very harsh. Almost like he's gargling. Please don't hurt your throat if you are going for this role!
He tends to be snarky, and gets angry very easily. Despite how Cranky he is, he's still generally pleasant to most people, and he treats the humans as well as his fellow Kongs with respect… usually.
He is wise and confident from his years of experience. He knows he's the most seasoned Kong on the island so he recognizes that other Kongs defer to his knowledge and judgment. Even when wrong about something (Like when he mistakenly thinks he "witnessed" the crime) he still speaks and acts as if he is sure of himself.
Here are some general lines:
"I'm impressed. That was good judgement."
"We can talk all you want, it won't change anything."
"You youngsters be safe out there, ya hear?"
"Hold up, now, youngsters. Walk a little slower, will ya? Don't leave ol' Cranky behind!"
Here are some lines that feature Cranky more upset:
"It doesn't mean squat! Nada! Zilch! Bupkis! You'll only be in charge once the time is right. Face it, Donkey Kong! You aren't ready for the responsibility yet!"
"He said he needs help from the WISEST one on Kongo Bongo, you nitwit. There are only two 'Wise' people on this island. One of 'em's me, and unless your name's David and you compose the music, the other one's NOT YOU."
"AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"
"The Crystal Coconut!! You smashed it! DOOOOOONKEEEEEY KOOOOOOOOOONG!!!!!!"

Some notes:
- You only need to record the lines spoken by Cranky Kong marked "Cranky ", and the chorus sections marked "ALL KONGS"
"Kongo Bongo Welcomes You!"

Larry is a very silly comic relief character, but underneath the goofiness he's a genuinely good guy and a great friend. He is very artsy, as well, and is knowledgeable about a lot of random subjects. He's excitable as well. His personality is actually rather similar to Maya's, in that he gets really passionate and enthusiastic about things when given an opportunity.
Whatever voice Larry ends up with, I want him to sound easy going and friendly. His lighthearted presence in the story kind of improves the mood for every scene he's in.
At the very beginning, Larry also has a few lines that he will voice like a stereotypically calm and professional airline pilot. His voice will sound different here than what it will for the rest of the story, mostly because Larry being the pilot is an unexpected twist and played for laughs when he and his true voice are revealed.
Some general lines. Larry is a pretty excitable guy, and I imagine you can feel his enthusiasm and pep from his voice:
"Hey, Nick!! And Miss Maya!! Pretty surprised to see me, huh!?"
"Yep! Sure have! Artistic inspiration struck me when I saw this place, I just KNEW I would have to get a look at things from way up here. I've been painting a landscape of Kongo Bongo! Wanna see?"
"No sweat! Leave it to me!"
"Oh hey, THERE'S the pirate!"
"IF ONLY ANITA COULD SEE ME NOOOOOOOOOW!!" (Note: this line is being yelled while catapulting through the air)
Larry has a few goofy monologues here and there where he showcases his confidence for his extremely bizarre skills.
"Lucky for Kongo Bongo, I have at least one weekend's worth of experience from physical therapy nurse practitioner training camp under my belt. I'll have everyone on the island all fixed up before our flight home, you can count on it. Just call me, 'Larry Butz, PhD, MD!' AKA, Physical Doctor and 'Monkey Doctor!'"
Larry has a few lines at the beginning where he has a stereotypical pilot voice. This doesn't sound like the rest of his voice, because it's a fake out and they don't realize it's Larry until they land.
"Alright, ladies and gentleman. I'm sure you can already see our destination by this point. The local time is 7:45 am, and the weather is comfortably sunny with no clouds in the sky. It's looking to be a beautiful day on this Island. We're beginning our descent now, and are going to make a water landing. Buckle up, and in a few minutes we'll be docked at Kongo Bongo Island."
Video Examples (Speaking):
Bad Hair Day , Ape Foo Young , Booty and the Beast , Get a Life, Don't Save One
Candy Kong's voice is feminine, but lower in pitch than Maya or Dixie. In terms of age she's definitely older than the other female characters, so her voice would naturally be just a tad more mature sounding.
Candy's emotions tend to resonate with Donkey Kong's current situations as well, because she cares about her boyfriend a lot. For example, when DK is in jail she acts very sad and much more emotional than usual. Aside from that, Candy is usually pretty neutral in personality.
Here are some regular lines, fairly neutral:
Oh, hello, everyone! How nice of you to visit me while I'm on the job!"
"W-w-wow! Really? That's... really swell of you, Bluster!"
"I wonder what DK has planned for us? I can only hope it ends in a romantic evening together."
Here are some sad, uncertain, or upset lines:
"We thought a bog monster ate you!"
"Donkey Kong! Don't worry! We'll figure out a way to fix this! I... I just know we will!"
"Please, if there's anything you can think of... gosh, he needs help... they're going to banish him tomorrow...!! I don't want them to banish my Donkey Kong...!!"
"You better not start comparing yourself to DK. He's better than you in every way!"
"Because, Leo… I know why you're doing this. And I want to tell Bluster something that we should have all told him a long time ago. That… that we're sorry, for the way we've treated him. Both of you."
She has a few lines while being mind controlled by Leo Luster, here's one for example.
"Oh, Leo Luster! I've been such a fool! Take me in your arms, and take me away from this place!"
Video Examples:
Booty and the Beast , Booty and the Beast (again) , Booty and the Beast (again, at the end)
Klaptrap has a very high pitched voice, even more shrill than Diddy Kong. He has a wise guy type of attitude in that he's constantly cracking jokes and making light of situations, even when he is threatening to chomp on people.
Most of Klaptrap's lines are pretty consistent in tone and emotion. I think the timestamped video links in the role characteristics are the best examples I can give of how Klaptrap should sound.
"MAN, what's a guy gotta do to find a decent SNACK around here?!"
"I can't speak for my entire species. But I get antsy when my tummy's rumbling. Lucky for you guys, I'm not hungry right now, so I won't try to eat you! Not like that chump I chased away a few nights ago. The nerve of that schmuck, crashing right in out of nowhere and waking me up while I had an empty stomach…"
"Huh. Whatdayaknow. Wish I would have caught 'em, then. Maybe I'd be a hero for catching a bad guy! Though, I guess if I had, there wouldn't've been much left of 'em to prove it, heheheh…"
"Alright, alright! I'm on the stand, happy? Haven't you already gotten enough of me after keeping watch all day and all night?! Go on, amscray! Yeesh!"
" I took a bite out of the cart right before it rode away. Almost broke my dentures!"
"Yeesh. This was the worst dine 'n' dash of my life…"
Video Examples:
Cranky's Tickle Tonic , It's a Wonderful Life , Message in a Bottle Show
Eddie is a very simple speaker. He talks a little slow, and his grammar could use some work. He refers to himself as "me," ie. "Me not sure…"
Despite his name saying "mean," he's actually a pretty decent guy. If anything he's a lovable goofball. He has a very lighthearted role in this story, and is almost purely comic relief.
"Me sorry."
"Me have question!"
"Excuse me! Trial ready now! They waiting for you in courtroom."
"Hehe. Stupid bird."
"Me sure you didn't do anything bad. But me also have job to do… time to go back to cell."
"Me think all's well that ends well!"
Video Examples:
From Zero to Hero , The Big Switch-a-Roo , Four Weddings and a Coconut
Krusha is supposed to sound dimwitted. He talks extremely slowly, has a deep voice, and he almost sounds like he's croaking when he speaks.
He has a tendency to sound more confident when he is proud of himself, as if he wants to be acknowledged for being a good henchman.
"Uhhhhh... what do we do now? How do we be 'detectives?'"
"But we skipped habeas corpus…"
"Uuuuuuh I always thought it was kind of fun to go flying…"
"That looked… painful…"
"Is now the part where we sing the musical?"
"We found traces of banana cream pie at the scene of the crime."
"Even we can be capable sometimes."
