Donkey Kong Meets Phoenix Wright: Legend of the Crystal Turnabout
Majora for Narrator
This role can be whatever you would like for it to be. I'm sure everyone has a voice in mind when they think of the ideal narrator, right? This can go just about any direction. You could be as direct and smooth as a news anchor. You could be as dramatic and emphatic as that one voice they get to do the trailer for every movie ever. You could be as emotional and aggressive as the Dragon Ball Z dub narrator. The sky's the limit! I truly look forward to receiving auditions for this role, and I can't wait to see what ends up working the best!
From 1996 to 2000, the world was graced with a television show inspired by the Donkey Kong video games. As with many 90s game adaptations, many liberties were taken with the source material, but what we ultimately got was a goofy and hilarious series that never took itself too seriously. It's been twenty years since then... what could all of our friends on Kongo Bongo Island be up to these days?
Phoenix Wright and Maya Fey of Ace Attorney fame decide to take a well-earned vacation to a remote island in the South Pacific which has just opened its borders to a fledgling tourism industry. Whatever they were expecting, it certainly wasn't talking apes and crocodiles!
And, of course, wherever these two go, misadventure is soon to follow. The islanders discover that their legendary relic, the Crystal Coconut, has been shattered! Who else could have committed the crime but Donkey Kong, who they caught red handed? To save their new friend from being banished without a fair trial, Phoenix and Maya will take matters to the courtroom for a wacky court proceeding unlike any other!
And don't worry: just like the show, there will be plenty of musical numbers!
Here it comes! BANANA SLAMMA!
