Donkey Kong Meets Phoenix Wright: Legend of the Crystal Turnabout
DangoDoof for Diddy Kong
Video Examples:
Diddy is in almost every episode of the show, so feel free to explore the series on Yotuube. Some examples are Kong for a Day , Raiders of the Lost Banana , Kong-Fu
Diddy's voice is shrill and almost annoying for lack of a better word. He's like a kid brother.
He is a very non-serious character in most instances. He acts silly, likes pranks, always helps DK out with banana gags, etc.
He is also a fast talker, especially when he's excited or interested in something. When he's worked up, he leaves very little space between punctuations and the next parts of the speech. Example: in the third audition line below which starts with "So, what's our game plan today?" I imagine that each suggestion he speaks more quickly than the last, as if he's getting more excited the more he talks.
In addition, his laugh is very chattery, like you'd expect from a monkey.
The last batch are various emotional lines.
Greeting:
"I have no idea what that means, but cool! Nice to meet you, I'm Diddy Kong!"
Playful/Teasing:
"Even half a mind may be giving you too much credit, hehehehe."
Sad:
"YH-Hey, big guy. You don't mean that, do you? You can't give up, you just can't..."
Reluctant:
"Do we --have-- to?"Diddy is rather excitable, and has some enthusiastic lines:
"Aw, coconuts! That's no fun! We should go in! Shouldn't we go in, DK? Don't you agree?"
"So, what's our game plan today? A frightful foray into the Forbidden Forest? A swing at swashbuckling some scallywags on the salty seas?! A luxurious luau with a limbo line?!!"
"SEE? The bog monster ate DK. *long pause* ACK! THE BOG MONSTER ATE DK!!!!"
"T-T-The Crystal Coconut, i-i-it's...!! BROKEN!!!"
"A UFO?! You mean the ones flown by interplanetary visitor dudes?!"
