A revamp of my original webcomic and previous attempted visual novel, now as an rpg! Before you put in your audition, please download the demo and get a feel for the story!
The story is based on a webcomic from 2009 that I started multiple times but was never happy with the artwork, then tried as a visual novel, and decided it works best as an adventure game!
Sawyer is a 23 year old police officer who works with April, a happy-go-lucky girl, and Kaheru, a mature and secretive leader. She has a rocky relationship with her sister, Emily, and wants to stop crime to help others out. Everything is somewhat normal until they meet a strange girl named Leandra who doesn't seem to be from this world...
This demo sets the stage for gameplay and introduces the characters and their relationships with each other. It is very story and character-based with no open world map. You will be in each area for a certain reason and the story is linear; no chance of getting lost and having no idea what to do next. It also switches perspective to see things from others' point of view.
Sawyer usually has something to comment on and dialogue/actions will change depending on who is in your party, so check everything twice!
For the full game, I want to implement a relationship system- choices you make can decide the ending you get; Sawyer can end up with any of the other main characters.
There will also be side quests available each day that are unique and can have certain characters as partners. You will have to solve some sort of crime that can be from fighting enemies to investigating clues.
Once Leandra enters the stage, dark things begin happening in the town that can only be described as demonic. She has some sort of connection to everything that is going on and will add dark fantasy elements.
CONTENT WARNING: There are disturbing elements, including foul language, violence, death, abuse, child abuse, depression, etc. It is just as dark as it is light-hearted, and will only get darker the further the story goes.

I'm setting up a casting call to get an idea of who can work on this with me and what I should have as a goal for my future Kickstarter campaign. Everything will be paid since the game will cost real money. I'm not going to have full voice acting due to the insane amount of dialogue but I am thinking about having small snippets of voices for the main characters.
I am also looking for original artists and musicians for the game. Right now I'm using default and DLC RPG Maker assets but would really like to customize it to be unique. I want the art style to be similar to the style I have in RPG Maker so it flows together easier. I'm mostly looking for customizing the main characters to look more like their concept art of mine and pixel CG scenes. I will also be having demon enemies that I'll have a specific style for as well.
For payment, I am going to pay when I need/can afford the asset. Depending on how much I raise on Kickstarter, I'll be able to commission you for more assets. I won't ask you to create something for me and give you an IOU.
Hello, sorry for the super long hiatus of updating this project page. The game is still being worked on actively, I hired an artist from here to work on it, but I still haven't chosen voice actors for the game. I realized I didn't know what all I wanted to be voiced, so I listened to a lot of auditions and put them on a shortlist. I will be selecting people eventually! (obviously)

April is a 21 year old police officer who doesn't take her job seriously. She likes playing around and not acting her age, but has to prove herself to keep her job.

Kaheru is a 24 year old police officer who acts as the lead for everyone working with her. She is polite and quiet but apparently has an extremely dark side if you don't follow orders.

Emily Randavix is Sawyer's 18 year old sister. They have a strained relationship due to unknown reasons but both want to be closer. She is extremely shy and quiet, usually clamming up when anyone outside of her family tries talking to her.

Leandra is a mysterious girl who shows up after getting hit by a car, with no damage. She soon becomes a big part of Sawyer, and everyone else's lives. In reality, she is a demon from another world who wanted to escape and live as a human. She is polite and quiet with a sweet voice.

Candy is a young demon who follows Leandra everywhere. She is extremely jealous and aggressive with a foul mouth. She has a high pitched voice.
