Project Overview
Greetings, all. The Great Disney Games is an upcoming story written by me. The story is a Battle of the Network Stars-styled affair involving various Disney characters gathered into three teams. Counting the most recurring in-universe commentators, there are 47 principal characters in the story, though most chapters will not feature them all at once. Most chapters will generally focus on three-person groups from each team and a handful of guest characters.
Characters were chosen via a combination of personal preference, recognizability, popularity, and theming for their respective teams. The events of most Disney Animated Canon films and their sequels are taken into account, as well as the events of most of Disney's television series (where applicable). Submission lines are a combination of actual quotes and dummy lines made by me. Whether the latter make it to the final product remains to be determined.
Date(s): Whenever the material is written and we have a cast set for on-air reading. The end of June 2024 is the most optimistic range of time. Readers would NOT need to be present live and could record their lines remotely whenever convenient.
Creative team members: This project would be handled by the members of the SEESBrain Commentators, a YouTube collective of content creators who generally specialize in video game commentaries but also do podcasts. Pay/contract: Non-union project, $16 (USD) for every minute of recorded dialogue (if recording remotely); payment for live appearances determined by negotiations between the individual actor and Scrappy-Fan92; An example: someone who records 30 seconds of dialogue for Star and 30 seconds of dialogue for Luz would be paid for the cumulative amount of dialogue ($16 for 60 seconds total).
Location preference: None, just looking for actors who can fluently read and speak English and can send files of their dialogue reliably or sit in for remote group recordings.
Technical requirements: As recordings from my usual circle are not of the highest audio quality, I am not looking for supreme professional recordings. Please, just ensure that your microphone is capable of recording your performance without picking up overwhelming background noises or excessive peaking/clipping. And while these characters have set, iconic voices, I am not mandating perfect imitations. If you can only emulate one thing, strive for the spirit of the character, not the outer trappings of the performance. I request that submissions have no more than three takes per line and be sent in MP3 or WAV format.
NOTE - 10 characters have open auditions on this site at the moment as the other 37 have been cast (marked by a single asterisk) or have an actor who expressed interest offsite (marked by two or three asterisks). Nonetheless, screencaps of a list of all 47 principal characters will be posted below to provide context and a look at the team configurations. If any of these taken or "taken" roles pique your interest, please reach out to me and I will consult with my team to see if role reassignment is possible.

Pinocchio's living conscience and elder statesman (err, cricket) of his team. Wise and willing to give advice when asked, and even when not asked. Has a good head on his shoulders 95% of the time, though he can get distracted and isn't as clever as he thinks he is.

Dalmatian puppy from England, philosophical and nominally pacifistic despite her young age; looking for actors who bring an effortlessly youthful voice, one that sounds higher than Alice's if a single actor is to handle both.

Wander's rough-and-tumble best friend/steed. Sounds older than most of the female characters in this story to reflect her more world-weary personality.

Former princess of the kingdom of Mewni. Initially lackadaisical to the point of wreaking havoc in her home realm and adoptive home of Earth, Star is a nominally mellower soul by the end of her show. No longer bound to royal crises, Star has begun to decompress, returning to a more carefree but responsible state of mind. Due to her experience in magical and non-magical realms, she is less surprised by the various oddities of the multiverse than her colleagues are.

A country kid who moves to the big city with his family, Cricket is as kind as he is rambunctious, at least initially. He takes to the shenanigans of the crossover proceedings like an animal turned loose into the wild. He doesn't just adapt to new locales, he makes new locales adapt to him.

Teenage sorceress-in-training at the titular Owl House. Juxtaposed with fellow magic-user Star through her heavier interest in the macabre (but cheerier disposition).

A hyperactive 7th-grade squirrel...so a squirrel if they were in 7th grade. She is energetic, optimistic, and perpetually looking at the beauty of life whenever she isn't causing actual destruction. She finds a kindred spirit in Cricket and the more withdrawn Star due to their shared personality quirks.

Vain, cruel, egotistical, selfish, a little needy, and a little lonely, that is Cruella De Vil. She spends much of her time denigrating her fellow villains in their escapades during the Games, preferring a more supervisory role. Though when she chooses to get her finely manicured hands dirty, she will go to any length to win. As is the case with most interpretations of the character under Disney, the posh voice belies the devil within.

The smug, overworked technician of McFist Industries. Separated from his incompetent (but well-paying) boss has left Viceroy of two minds. He now can operate with fewer restrictions (outside of outright murder) but again, no money. And there's also the matter of his team drawing multiple other mad scientists for its roster, a fact he is all too willing to lampshade and lampoon. He's a team player, if only out of habit and pragmatism, but he's perfectly fine to inform his teammates of how much he doesn't care about a given situation.
