Project Overview
Ignore project deadline. Roles that are open will always be open for audition no matter what the deadline for audition states.
Welcome to Castaway's Fire Emblem: Fates dub. This is a recasting as we get prepared to dub more things content this summer.
Specifically, we will be dubbing support conversations and comic dubs. We will be putting our dubs on Youtube and Tumblr.

Upvotes will affect if you get the part, however it is not final. I listen to every single auditions very carefully and I'll be basing mainly off our cast's opinions and my judgement,
Our deadlines are very lenient. We will not make you dub anything if you are too busy. If you are unavailable to dub, please tell us and we will come back to you when you are ready. However, this does not give you free reign to do whatever you want. If I or any other video editor in the group notices you taking advantage of this, we will relieve you of your role(s).
There are some "temporary" roles available. If you are casted for this, it is only to fill in for one of our main actors that is not available at this time to dub with us. Once they return, your role will be relieved. Audition at your own discretion!
Minimum Requirements
- Clear and good audio quality with no background noise.
- A quick and easy way to contact you either by email, Discord and/or Skype. I'm fine with working on CCC as well.
- Be able to turn in your lines on time.
- Be prepared to voice romantic lines. A small but important requirement!
If Casted
- I will ask if you would like to have any links that will be put in the credits for our comic and support dubs on both websites.
- I personally do not tolerate unexcused tardiness. If it happens, you will be kicked from your role immediately. If you are unable to turn in your lines, inform me or the other editors beforehand. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't like that either :/

Our main character with as much personality as a sponge and intelligence of a shounen protagonist.
All kidding aside, Corrin is a righteous prince with a strong ambition; to end the war with no bloodshed. He seeks to save all that he can, enemy or not. He is charismatic when is needs to be and always kind to his friends and family.
I much prefer his Japanese voice over his English voice, although both takes are solid. The Japanese voice has a softer and younger tonality to it that really makes him sound like a young, naive protagonist whilst the English went hammy on the protagonist aspect.
This role has the most amount of lines. Do not attempt to audition if you know you will not stick to this character for a long time.

A calm-collected and righteous leader and loving older brother. Xander is a confident adviser and leader to the Nohrian army. Both Japanese and English do well to reflect his calm, cool and yet authoritative tone. I prefer the Japanese because it has lower pitch and sounds soft and brotherly while maintaining a good grasp on his wiser side. He sounds confident at the while also retaining his kind tone.

A hard-working kunoichi whose mission in life is to keep Lord Ryoma safe. She can be aloof at times, but she is not cold. She prefers to keep to herself, but when she makes a bond, she will do her best to keep it safeguarded. One of her passions is painting. It seems to bring mixed reaction with many members of the army when they see the dark, swirly, and seemingly uncomprehensible strokes she makes with her brush. Because of this, she tends to be very shy when asked to show her art.
I dislike both the English and Japanese interpretation of her voice. I would like for her voice to sound more mature, calm, and steady. However, she should not sound monotonous. Her voice should be firm in casual conversation, but sweet when need be.
As Lord Ryoma’s retainer, it is my duty to follow his every order. He wishes to take you back to Hoshido, and so it must be done.

Both the Japanese and English portrayal for Orochi are very good. She has a mature tonality to her voice, but is still pitched high enough to give her the aura of youth she tends to exude in conversations.

Sakura's retainer and best friend. She is a dedicated swords woman that would stop at nothing to protect her precious princess.
She is a tough woman while still being delicate at the same time. The Japanese dub portrays her on the more delicate side with a high pitched voice and softer tone while the English dub is a bit more rough. Something in between both would sound great for Hana although both Japanese and English dub are acceptable.

Beruka is a reserved and quiet assassin who keeps to herself. She speaks with a monotonous, whispery voice and higher register without sounding childlike. Both the English and Japanese dub do well and both are similar to one another. However, the Japanese dub does a better job at keeping Beruka monotonous while not making her sound deadpan bored as well as having a more mature sounding voice in a higher pitch. The English dub likes to emote more with Beruka voice. Keep this in mind when making your own interpretation.

That's a foxy grandma.
Nyx is a literal old lady trapped in a young girl's body. Although both dubs are excellent, the Japanese dub expresses these traits more effectively. She sounds calmer and more mature while keeping the high register while the English makes her sound like a regular young girl.

Although the English and Japanese are very similar, the Japanese does a much better job in deliver, sounding more natural and carefree. The English makes him sound a bit nasal and stuffy. He is a very peppy and upbeat character. Show that in your acting.

I prefer her Japanese voice with her pitch and expression although her English voice is not that bad either. The only gripe I have is it sounds a bit too mature/raspy for her. Feel free to experiment. Mainly looking for a charismatic and confident voice with casual tones.
