StickWorld: Anything Goes!

StickWorld: Anything Goes!

Project Overview

Yo! I'm Joe! Welcome to my project!

StickWorld: Anything Goes! is a chaotic ensemble comedy set in the bizarre city of StickTown, where incompetent cops, petty criminals, superheroes, mad scientists, fantasy warriors, supernatural beings, and countless other weirdos collide in ridiculous and unpredictable adventures.

Visually, the series is meant to look like stick figures doodled throughout a teenager's high-school notebook—which is fitting, because StickWorld started when I was in high school! I originally made little comic strips for my school's newsletter, and many of the audition lines and scenarios here come directly from those old comics. Back then, I was into things like the Simpsons, the Amazing World of Gumball, Family Guy, Pride & Prejudice, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, asdfmovie, the Naked Gun, and the Big Lebowski (just to name a few)... you can probably tell.

CONTENT NOTE: StickWorld doesn't really fit neatly into one rating. Most of it is fairly lighthearted and cartoony, but some material can push into PG-13 territory with stronger language, cartoon violence, horror/slasher elements, dark or suggestive jokes, and other mature subject matter.

No AI has been used for this project. I much prefer coming up with this stuff myself or bouncing ideas around with my friends, and I'd like to keep it that way.

If you're able, please include:

  • The character you're reading for at the beginning of your recording.

  • Totally optional: A little about yourself in the description, including what drew you to the project.

  • A clear recording with as little background noise as possible.

Also, bear with me while I figure out Casting Call Club! I'm still learning the artwork, banners, and all the fancy stuff. For now, I'm just excited to finally get this thing out there.

Thanks for checking my project out! And if you have any questions, feel free to shoot me a message.

Latest Updates

  • StickWorld News: New Characters Added

    Yo!

Thanks so much for all the auditions so far! It’s been awesome hearing everyone’s takes on the many, MANY characters.

We’ve also added a few new characters since the casting call first went up! Speaking of which, you may be looking at the list and thinking: HOLY CRAP. THAT’S A LOT OF CHARACTERS.

And lemme tell ya... you are exactly right. 😂 We will not be adding any more—despite the fact that there ARE more (Like, a TON more). My friends, family, and schoolmates have all helped bring characters into the series over the years.

Depending on how casting goes, we may reach out to some auditioners about voicing multiple characters.

That’s all for now! Thanks again for checking out the project, and stay tuned for more updates!

Voice: Gruff, gravelly, loud, and wildly expressive.

Lance and Gram's grumpy, unpredictable uncle and reluctant guardian, whose military training and survival instincts remain razor-sharp even if his judgment doesn't. Reckless, stubborn, and surprisingly immature, if you ever wondered where the Lebowski family gets its particular brand of crazy from... meet Uncle Frank.

  • Alright, now THIS little beauty is a grenade! But don't worry—long as this pin stays right where it is, we're perfectly— (The pin drops to the floor.) …Huh.

Paid: Flat Rate 20 USD

Age: Late teens (approx. 17–19)

Voice: Loud, overconfident, hyperactive, and painfully try-hard, with the delivery of someone forcing every “cool” slang word he knows into the same sentence.

A student at StickTown High, Cool Dude Broski is convinced he’s the freshest, swaggiest, most legendary guy on campus. Between the backwards cap, shutter shades, gold chain, skateboard, and nonstop stream of outdated slang, everyone else mostly finds him unbearable. He is regularly thrown out of classrooms, shoved into trash cans, or otherwise physically removed by students who have finally had enough.

Voice description:

Note: Murray is open to voice actors of any gender—what matters most is capturing his dry, sarcastic, laid-back personality.

Murray is a whip-smart, cynical stray taken in by Uncle Frank, and he now considers the Lebowski house his turf. He spends most of his time sleeping, eating, judging Lance, Gram, and Frank, and plotting petty revenge whenever somebody forgets to feed him. Maggie’s eyes go wide and she frantically gestures at him.) What? (Maggie gestures harder. Gregory suddenly realizes.) OH! Right! (Turns sternly to Susie.) Now JUST A MINUTE, LITTLE MISSY. The newest recruit on the StickTown police force, and BOY is he excited to be here. Ronaldo is eager, enthusiastic, and incredibly proud to finally wear the badge—unfortunately, Chief Gregory is probably the worst person he could be learning police work from.

Voice description:

  • (Tries the door) Door’s locked! Bring in the battering ram! (He tries it again. The door suddenly opens.) Oh, never mind! It was just jammed—(The battering ram slams directly into Ronaldo's stomach.) OOFF! …Officer down.

  • STPD! NOBODY MOVE! (Inside are two men in respirators cooking suspicious blue crystals.) …Wrong room. My bad. (He closes the door and moves to the next one. KICK!) STPD! (Bernie, a masked killer, freezes mid-swing over a terrified victim who's duct-taped to a chair.) …Sorry, man. Carry on. (Closes door. One more. KICK!) STPD! YOU'RE UNDER ARREST! • (At a bowling alley.) You know, Chief, this was actually a pretty good idea. It's nice getting everyone together without having to worry about work for once. (She notices a bowler's foot cross the foul line. Her expression changes.) OVER THE LINE! (Maggie immediately draws her gun.) Do it again. I DARE YOU.

  • HEY! SLOW DOWN! (The car keeps going.) …Oh, you did NOT just ignore me. (Maggie takes off after the car at an absolutely inhuman sprint.) Maybe you didn't hear me! Because he's across the street, and I think he's up to something illegal. (Rivers looks. Sure enough, God is conducting an extremely shady transaction in an alley.) We should probably look into that.

  • Hey! You got a license for that? (The criminal stops and hands him one. Jim studies it carefully.) Huh... I guess you DO got a license for that. Alright. On your way.

So today, I intend to finally answer the greatest question facing our community: Why is it called StickTOWN if we're a CITY?!

It can be easy to enjoy his company right up until you remember exactly who you're talking to.

  • (Relaxing in a bath, humming contentedly. A summoning circle suddenly drags him into the mortal realm in front of several teenagers. He notices them and lets out an undignified scream.) AAAAH! (Grabs a towel and covers himself.) Oh, fantastic. Teenagers. Of course it’s teenagers. (Furious.) HOW DO YOU PEOPLE KEEP FINDING MY SUMMONING CIRCLE?!

  • (Noticing Sweet Susie.) You? Hell? No, no, that can't be right. (Snaps his fingers; a scroll and reading glasses appear.) Let’s see here… (He reads. His expression slowly changes.) …Oh. (Keeps reading.) Ohhh. (Rolls up the scroll, shaken.) Right. Carry on.

  • Word is you’ve been having some trouble finding steady employment, Lance. (Looks up; his eyes ignite.) Perhaps I could be of some assistance.
