Project Overview

Project Truth is a video game being developed by Stormcat Studios. We are an indie studio made up of only 2 members and really want to bring our work to life. We have come to Casting Call Club to give you all a chance to be a part of our work. Project Truth is a Tactical RPG similar to Fire Emblem having a cast full of colorful characters. We would love to bring your talents into the game and give the characters a voice for all to enjoy!

    We at Stormcat Studios are so proud to announce our chosen talent on Casting Call Club!

    Regardless of whether you were cast or not, we thank everyone for auditioning. This campaign was successful because of each and everyone of you!

    I was informed of a glitch I want to make clear though. None of the roles were given to offsite talent. All were chosen from Casting Call Club, the display is just wrong. If you show auditions on the main page or go to the specific page of each character, the chosen submission will be highlighted in green.

  • Details going forward

    Hello Everyone,

    As the end is nigh I wanted to give insight as to when casting will be decided and how voice recording will be conducted.

    We will be announcing all roles and the chosen talent on July 20th, 2023.

    All chosen talent will be then contacted on Casting Call Club and the conversation will be moved to Discord.

    When contacted on Discord chosen talent will be given details about the character they have been cast as and the 31 - 36 lines which will need to be recorded and sent our way.

    Once the lines have been recorded on the talents own time (no recording session is necessary) and sent to us, then voice talent will receive the $35 USD per character as promised by the Casting Call. This payment will be done via Paypal or other requested transfer service.

  • Dawn Of the Final Day!

    Well here we are people, this Casting Call has lasted a month and half and we at Stormcat Studios can't believe how many audtions we have received. 4K is an astonding number and know we are thankful to each and everyone of you!

    Hi everyone,

    I and the rest of Stormcat Studio would like to thank you all for 3000+ auditions! When I made this page in early June I never imagined us getting this much attention. Listening to your additions has brought us so much joy and brought the characters we wrote to life. Thank you all sincerely and with the remaining 7 days left on this page, I look forward to all the auditions to come!

  • "Hey! What about me?!" Another character enters the fray!

    We are opening up another slot for auditions, this is actually the final one. Introducing Heidi the Procurement Officer! We already had some lines recorded for her for testing purposes, but we wanted to give everyone else a shot since we've loved what we've heard.

Cato is a happy and positive man who lives for the heart of battle. He uses his positive nature to raise the morale of his fellow soldiers and is often the one to lead the charge when engaging enemy forces. When in battle he often gets excited letting out hearty laughs and passionate words. While a positive unrelenting force, Cato is also a blockhead who often gets confused when a conversation gets complicated or the words get too big.

Katria the Assassin

Katria was born into a noble family and serves as an assassin for the empire. While on the job, she is serious and deadly, but off the job, she is spontaneous and a bit of a jokester. The reason for this is because she doesn’t know how to deal with the complex emotions that come with being a soldier and uses this jokester front to help her navigate her day to day outside of work. She is intelligent and witty, but otherwise has a calm demeanor.

Mania is a bit of an unhinged lunatic. When she was younger, she had a major brain injury inflicted on her by her own father, and as a result, has turned into a cold, sadistic person whose only goal is to attain a victory so glorious that she may retire and focus on herself. Cheating, stealing, lying; all are fair game to Mania.

Stimula Avias is the leader of the Holy Church of Avias and is seen as a direct descendent of the god himself. She is royalty and thus commands respect. Her mannerisms are befitting of a Goddess, and she loves her people dearly. However, she is haunted by a generational lie and will stop at nothing to ensure the truth doesn’t come out.

Pronunciation for Avias: Aye-vee-us. (Think Avian, with “s” instead of “n” at the end)

A missionary of Avias, she is seen as a motherly figure in her community and spends time reading books to orphans.

An insane barbarian hellbent on genocide, Garald has no love for the Empire of Avias or its people. A spiteful man, he was cast out by his village as a child for being born with a deformity. He learned to conquer his deformity and became the feared leader of the Olakor, a group of murderous barbarians. Now, he leads his assault on the Empire to the south and has but one policy: take no prisoners.

Asim is a foreigner to the Empire of Avias being displaced at a young age due to war in his country of origin. Asim is blind due to an illness he contracted at a young age, but through magic he is able to see the auras of others having a 6th sense of sorts. Through his magical sight he is an ace with a bow, his shot being second to none. He is an officer in a resistance group who seeks to destroy the power structure of the Empire. His role in the resistance is that of a scout and assassin needing to maintain a calm and decisive nature.

Brodir the Barbarian

Brodir is a barbarian hailing from the Olakor people in the icy regions of northeast Wotanheim. He is a product of his environment being a ferocious warrior who rushes into battle with no fear. His loves in life are fighting willing and strong opponents, drinking kegs of beer, and sleeping the night away. Despite his upbringing and lack of courtesy, Brodir is currently at a crossroads. Should stay with his people and uphold the values he is expected to or fight against them due to their brutality against the innocent.

A princess sold off by her mother for peace in her homeland, Polina hasn’t been dealt the greatest of hands in life. She became a servant to a self-serving military general who was less than kind to her. Eventually, she was saved by a government official who has some less stellar views of the empire and was given the choice of leaving and living her own life, or joining him in starting a revolution. She decided she did not want anyone to face the struggles she did, and joined his revolution.

Inflicting pain and inducing fear are the two creeds which drive Nenet’s actions. She is an unhinged individual who was a common thief at a young age but due to a botched job ended up being captured along with her father. As foreigners to the Empire they were given no quarter and were sent to the worst labor camp in all the lands. For years Nenet was abused by the guards and worked to the bone. Eventually, she snapped after witnessing her father die during hard labor and decided to take on the unwritten creed the guards had implanted onto her. The only way to combat a cruel world is to be cruel yourself. She would go on to burn that camp to the ground and would join up with the resistance seeking to ignite the flames of revolution against the Empire and Church.

Gabrielus Geta the Noble

A promiscuous individual, Gabrielus was born into lordship. Growing up, he was a bit of an egotistical child, believing that due to his status as a son of a lord, he was better than everyone else. That is until he was saved from some bandits who kidnapped him by his future employer, Hugo of Aquileia. Gabrielus, feeling indebted to Hugo, learned some humility in being a truly great lord and looking out for his people. Hugo also taught Gabrielus how to fight, and grew him into a strong cavalryman. As a result, Gabrielus has turned into a people person, and can often be found flirting with the locals. Man or woman, Gabrielus has turned his ego into an irresistible charm that all fall for.

Griselda the Warrior

A seasoned warrior and mother, Griselda has become a force to be reckoned with. Initially retiring, Griselda could not sit still and decided to rejoin her old band of mercenaries, mostly to spend time with her daughter who stayed behind. She has perfected her craft and has earned the title “Troll of Soldtal” for her prowess in combat.

Growing up in the mercenary village of Soldtal, the rival was given many titles. While many existed, the two most prominent were “The God of War” and “A mercenary legend in the Making”. Due to his reputation at a young age, his ego skyrocketed to the heavens as all but a few mercenary bands would try to recruit him. He would end up joining the legendary Guntram’s Mercenaries where he would immediately show his potential. Already surpassing many tenured mercenaries he is highly respected for getting the job done, but is relentless in that endeavor mainly taking bounty and kill missions. 

Note: His name is listed as Rival because the player will name him at the start of the game.

No one knows where Nuzagi came from, heck people even speculate that Nuzagi has no idea where Nuzagi came from. Nuzagi is an ace bartender, but the more accurate title is the only bartender. Travelers far and wide regardless of being in Wotanheim or The Empire have reported the flamboyant green-haired man heading every tavern they come across. Nuzagi is a talkative and wacky man who is never short of stories or rumors, often spreading them to anyone who will listen. When you arrive at his bar counter, you should expect to get one of the best drinks of your life and the personification of chaos whispering in your ear.

Lucilia the Witch

Born to a quiet village within the Empire, Lucillia lived a commoner's life with her father. Being a skilled architect the man would give Lucillia the best education he could allowing for her mind to flourish at a young age. On Lucilia’s 8th birthday in the dead of night, a strange woman would appear to the young girl and give her a grimoire. While it would be in secret Lucilia would learn from the book, gaining the ability to cast magic. It was of the utmost importance that she keep it a secret as The Empire did not look kindly upon commoners practicing the arcane arts. Discovery of such a thing would result in the immediate death of the offender. Lucilia would keep this a secret until age 18 when she was finally caught and fled to Wotanheim in the north. Feeling like an outsider to her own people and the people of her new home she would settle in the secluded area of the Forest of a Thousand Winds. There she has built a small home for herself being able to practice her magic in peace; her social skills dwindling due to isolation.

Odion the Gambler

Odion is the antithesis of being born with a silver spoon in one's mouth. His father was a prominent trader and his mother was born into high society. Whatever he wanted he got, it was never a matter of if, it was a matter of when. There was only one unscrupulous activity he partook in at a young age which stemmed from his mother’s crippling gambling addiction. He would frequent gambling dens with his mother, his age preventing him from participating. While he couldn’t play, he took the opportunity to watch. Every tactic, rule, and bluff he learned, but most importantly he learned how to cheat. Card counting, card marking, and sleight of hand, Odion learned them all to tip the scales in his favor. His world would come crashing down though when his parent were discovered to be guilty of supporting a resistance which sought to bring down The Empire. Their lives and fortune would be confiscated, but as there was no proof he was ever involved, Odion was set free. With nothing to his name, Odion decided to choose the only option he had. After begging for some coin, he marched into the nearest gambling den and from there would begin to reemass a fortune.

Ronaldo was born in Wotanheim but didn’t live the life of an honorable warrior. His father as a skilled assassin taught Ronaldo the family trade and the two gained the title of the “Terrors of the North”. They would take jobs in both Wotanheim and Empire alike leaving a trail of blood in their wake. They would eventually take a job in Wotanheim to kill a renowned bandit which ended in tragedy. While his father lay dead, Ronaldo clenched his sword clinging to life, and his savor rushed onto the scene. The legendary mercenary Guntram followed by his band engaged the bandits having also taken the job to rid the world of them. While Guntram viewed it as a job, Ronaldo saw his savior and in that moment decided to dedicate his life to the man. Ronaldo would still carry his sword but would turn to religion, deciding to keep warriors alive as a priest instead of killing. Despite his healing magic he still murders those around him with his words.

Frode was born in the fishing village Kjolr in northern Wotanheim. He is a born and bred fisherman being taught all the tricks of the trade and dreams of one day getting the deadliest catches the sea has to offer. One such catch was Dreadfin, a leviathan which encroached on the village's fishing spots. Frode would set out by himself with the intention of killing the beast in order to gain fame within his village. Frode would end up talking out the beast but by a total fluke. He got the respect he wanted but at the cost of it all being a lie. Due to this, he suffers from imposter syndrome, internally flinching at positive words thrown at him. Frode is also quite the womanizer and believes himself to be a “ladies man”, a self-given title which he has never come close to achieving.

While being born in the mercenary town of Soldtal, Tove was never much for the lifestyle people expected of her. Tove would never do intensive drills and study military tactics like the other children, instead spending time in the wilderness. There she would learn to hunt with a bow, draw the landscape, and study the stars nestled under a tree at night. While it was her preferred way of living the coin was sparse. Despite her woes, she would join Guntram’s mercenaries, the leader taking an interest in her as she was a blank slate and her ability to navigate using the stars. She was someone with a unique skill and could be molded into whatever role he needed combat-wise. Guntram would put her on a pegasus and force her to learn. Tove loves her new role in life and often takes time off to fly above the wilderness observing stars and landscape alike.

While his father was a fighter and warrior, Kris was never really one for fighting. Kris spent his time writing songs and trying to entertain others. His father, initially annoyed at the aspect of his son not becoming a fearsome warrior, eventually came around to the idea and became his son’s biggest supporter. After a long battle, Kris’s father would bring his comrades to the local pub for a drink and to listen to Kris’s songs. It became evident Kris had a gift, it seemed that his songs would reinvigorate the soldiers and make them feel stronger. As a result, Kris became a centerpiece in the preparation for battle as well as the aftermath. Still, Kris has always been humble, and a kind soul who will play music for anyone that will listen.

Not much is known about Quinn the blacksmith, they showed up in the mercenary town of Soldtal randomly. While meek and never showing their face behind their hoodie they would participate in a blacksmithing competition held by The Guntram Mercenaries. They would win, their skill showing true despite their words being nonexistent. As a reward, the mercenary band would hire them immediately as head blacksmith. When talking to Quinn people expect the conversation to be short and basic. No loud arguments should be held around Quinn as they will shrivel into a huddled ball in the corner of the room. Despite such a nature being so distant to the hearty residents of Wotanheim, there is one thing for sure. If you trust sword or shield to Quinn, you know it’s in the right hands.

Heidi is a joyful, happy young woman with a knack for mathematics and thinking critically. The daughter of Griselda, Heidi grew up amongst the mercenaries; it’s the only life she’s ever known. While her mother is a fighter, her father took care of the group’s equipment and maintained a healthy stock of food and drink for the group, especially on long missions. Not one for fighting, Heidi always gravitated towards her dad’s work and as a result, slowly rose to replace him when he and Griselda eventually retired. Of course, not everything is sunshine and rainbows for dear Heidi, as she often feels like she does not contribute enough to the group since she cannot fight. As a result, while her exterior is that of a happy young lass, inside she feels more lost than anyone.
