About Tim Winters

http://twitter.com/timandhisvoices

Hello! My name is Tim Winters, a voice actor based in Sweden with ambitions of working internationally in the future. I have had a passion for voice acting for as long as I can remember.

I have a quite versatile skillset, with accents ranging from American to Scottish to Australian to German, as well as high and low vocal range. I love focusing on natural and grounded acting, and have done so since I learned the art.

In my free time I sing and practice the guitar regularly, playing blues and folk.

In early May of 2023 I co-started a private musical improv group (ended since 2024) and have since been a part of several production groups, both musical and regular.

I run my own YouTube channel (see above), where I record, edit and produce ASMR scripts or write my own fiction and turn it into audio drama.

Education
Improvisational Jams - 2024

Second Nature Improv Jams

Instructed by Tim Winters

In my spare time, I teach and play scenes with people who want to get into the art of Improvisational Theatre, where my aim is to build a community.

It is completely voluntary work, but incredibly rewarding.

SWIMP - Sweden Improv Festival (Uppsala) - 2024

Musical Improvisation Workshop

Instructed by Emma Wessleus, Lee Apsey, David Rees

Whole day workshop, with a focus on producing grand improvised musicals. We practiced melody, harmony, percussion. Producing subtext, idioms, and metaphorical lyrics. In this group of 12, we had the chance to split up (6 and 6) and perform a 30 minute musical, going through everything we practiced during the workshop. Incredibly rewarding, super knowledgeable teachers.

Musical Improvisation, Production Class - "Hot & Thirsty"

Instructed by Caroline Falk, Gustav Blix, Jesper Eriksson

In our Production Class Premiere, we were a group of 11, who practiced the art of musical improvisation. Ranging from movement, song, percussion and formats. We produced our own show for the masses to see. During this class, we performed 3 times on stage with the format "The Off-Off-Off-Off Broadway Show". First act, setting up the characters for a musical, wacky or grounded. Second act play out the musical.

During the spring semester of 2024, we produced 4 musical shows using the format 'Spokane'. Our group performed this under the show name "Be Kind, Rewind" (as per the format inspiration). We had a bigger focus on acting, subtext, idioms, metaphors and subtlety during this class. Some abstract practice, as well.

In spring of 2025, our format was based around the every-day regular life of people, until a world-changing event occurred, effectively causing an apocalypse. First act we focused on following the "boring" parts of life, and the second act we opened up to more abstract storytelling, 20+ years in the future.

Beginners to Advanced Improv, Level 1-4+

Instructed by TM

2022 to 2024.

Level 1. We focused on practicing everything from space work, characters, and short form games.

Level 2. Continuation from class 2022, with preparation for performing on-stage.

At the end of the course, we performed on stage in front of a live audience.

Level 2.5. Focus on characters and emotions, with continuation of practicing short form games.

Level 3. We began focus on long from improvisation, with formats Montage and Closed Quarters.

Level 4. Continuation of the format Montage. Improving our ability to cut scenes, streamline our character development and dig deeper into our characters and emotions.

Stockholms Improvisational Theatre - 2025

Production Class: Kaleidoscope Presents "TRAPPED".

Instructed by Eva Löfgren

Under the tutelage of Eva Löfgren, we focused heavily on dramatic scenes and character building. Digging deep into our emotions and sometimes having emotional outbursts on stage. Our aim was for the audience to react with more than laughter. We wanted them to gasp, aww, ooh, and maybe even shed a tear.

Adopting many different exercises to show our acting chops, our format focused on 5 characters going about one of their days (first act) where they would head toward a destination of the audiences' choosing where they would then get TRAPPED (second act), thusly producing 4 shows.

Recommendations
  • @flatlight-productions

Tim Allberg deserves all the credit and recommendations for sticking with me through a very tough and challenging read as General Carville for Red Alert 2: Remastered. He worked very well on tight deadlines and provided great emotion and realism to the character. I would recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat. Thank you again and best of luck in your future projects.

  • @the_humaniac

Very amazing voice actor! It'd suck for you all not to hire him...

  • @methalis_tjorn

Tim provided an excellent voice for my project, with quick work and a wide variety of line variation while remaining accurate to the character’s personality and the context of the scene and lines. Outside of that, he was very responsive when contacted and a delight to talk to. Overall, Tim was an absolute pleasure to work with and I fully recommend him as a voice actor in your projects.

It was a pleasure working with Tim on our recent audio production, "The Killer Mine". His character work is amazing and we were able to work together and refine the voice to get it just right, and he sent me the final recordings very quickly. He would be an asset to anybody looking to cast a talented performer in future productions!

  • @mattman

Tim was a true professional to work with. He portrayed the Captain in the Survivor Stories like he was made for the role. Got his lines in, on time, and gave an amazing performance too. Would highly recommend.

  • @Project-OTC

Mr. Winters contributed voice acting to audio material for a Business English textbook we are publishing in Japan. Mr. Winters
completed all of his assigned parts professionally and delivered on time. Thank you for your hard work!

  • @beckyboobear

Tim delivered his lines quickly and even recorded multiple takes with a variety of delivery/emotions so that we had a wide selection to pick from for our final audio! Working with him was a seamless experience, 10/10

  • @okemian

Tim immediately presented a fantastic performance as the cloaked criminal The Note, nailing the voice and accent I was envisioning and delivering multiple takes of each line really showcasing his range and spoiling me for choice when it came time to edit everything together. Was a fantastic actor to work with and I can only hope to do so again in the future. He'd be a wise addition to any project.
