Hello all, thank you very much for checking out this casting call!
My name is Luke, I’m 23 years old, I am an Independent Game Developer, and I'm getting ready to release a project that I created in 2017, but recently decided to share publicly for the first time.
It's called 'The Most Awesome Game Ever Made', it's a 2D Platformer and was originally a University Project.
Though most of the gameplay is the same as before, I've decided the game might benefit from the addition of a Complete Voice-over.
While the characters were all originally designed without having voices in mind, I felt it might be fun to give them some and bring them to life!
This is where YOU come in!
Below are some details about the project, I hope you like it and will consider auditioning...
What is 'The Most Awesome Game Ever Made'?
The Most Awesome Game Ever Made is a 2D Platformer, similar to the likes of the original Mario games. The intended release month is November 2022.
Story: "Everything was peaceful on Pixel Island until that dastardly Dr. E. Ville unleashed his Robots upon the land, now it's up to you to save the day!!!"

The game is a pretty basic 2D Platformer, nothing too special, but pokes fun at itself quite a lot, hence the ironic name 'The Most Awesome Game Ever Made'.
It has 6 levels, each with a different Hero, and completion takes about 30-90 minutes, but players can replay levels in an effort to beat their high score!
'The Most Awesome Game Ever Made' will also feature a Downloadable Soundtrack, with music produced by my Brother, HMN Music.
What platforms will this game be released on?
I have already paid the required fee for the game to be released on Steam. It will also be available on itch.io, as well as GameJolt.

The game will play on Windows, and all being well, Linux.
What about payment?
This is going to be a paid project. As I do not have a publisher for this title, all payments will be made out of my own personal funds.
Payments will be made via Paypal.
What are the requirements for auditioning?
Roles will be cast the day after this Casting Call's deadline, and scripts will be delivered immediately afterward.
As every character only has a small line count, I am requesting that once cast, all lines will be recorded and sent within 7 days of receiving them.
If you are unable or unwilling to meet this deadline for any character, then I thank you for your interest but I would kindly ask you not to audition on this occasion.
A high-quality microphone is an absolute necessity and those who cannot provide this will unfortunately not be considered.
Bringing a positive attitude, being communicative and open, as well as having a Discord account (or the ability to make one) is highly preferable too.
Furthermore, you must be 18 or older to audition for this Casting Call.
I have enlisted the help of an impartial panel that will assist me during the audition process, and help guide me to selecting the most suitable, professional VAs for each role.
Anything else?
The Voice Actors cast will receive all digital content the game has to offer, as well as full accreditation.
