OMORI Fandub
Project Overview
OMORI is a psychological horror game, created by OMOCAT. A description of the plot is below, taken from the OMORI game site:
Welcome to WHITE SPACE.
Your name is OMORI, and you've been living here for as long as you can remember.
Everything is bright white. There aren't any walls.
A black light bulb hangs from the ceiling… wherever that is.
The floor is always cold. You don't mind, though.
You have a blanket, a laptop, a cat, a sketchbook, and your tissue box.
You have everything you need.
Sometimes a white door presents itself to you. Enter, and you'll find yourself in a perfect world.
One filled with colorful characters, endless adventure... and most importantly, your friends.
It used to be that the door would only appear on certain days...
But now it's always there.
Somewhere in the back of your mind you have an inkling that things weren't always like this.
You weren't always living in WHITE SPACE.
The truth is...
Your story is already over. You just have to remember it.
Please read all points below before auditioning.
- This is not in any way affiliated directly with OMOCAT or the developers of the game. This is a for-fun passion project made by fans of the game!
- Please have a Discord to communicate within the project server.
- A clear mic with little to no background noise is preferred. Please avoid any peaks or pops.
- This is a passion project. It is zero budget and nothing will be monetized.
- Do not audition if you are not comfortable with any of the following, as the game includes:
- Suicide, depictions of anxiety/depression
- Flashing/Disturbing imagery
- There are no canon voices. It's entirely up to you to create a voice, although some roles have suggestions.
- There are heavy spoilers within this casting call; proceed with caution!
I highly recommend playing OMORI before auditioning, but you don't have to.
New roles may be added over time, and the deadline can be extended and vice versa at any time. Updates will be posted when that happens!

Final Update
Thank you to everyone who participated in auditioning for this fandub. I'm overwhelmed with how much attention it got and how many people are excited for it! Over the next few days, I may be reaching out to a few people seeing if they are interested in voicing extras! Congrats to everyone! Beginning to cast now! Kel, Basil, Medusa, Molly, Kim, Vance, Angel, Polly, and the extras will remain open until the end of the week. I imagine his voice to be softer, and possibly a bit androgynous. However, I am open to anything for him!
These are sunflowers. They're called that because they always face towards the sun. That's how I want to be like... someone who always sees the bright side of things.

I don't really have beef with you. Me and Kim just always do the same stuff together. I'm only one year older than her, but no one believes me because of my beard...

This role is for various extras. I'll probably be casting ~5 total. Feel free to audition even if you've already auditioned for another role!
The first line is for any male extras, and the second is for female extras (obviously if you have an androgynous voice, you may do both!). There is a line given, but you can add more to show off different tones and ranges.
The third is for Young Adult - Middle Age extras. Parents of characters have lines, and there are many other adults that the character comes across. There is a line given for both male and female, but you can add more to show off different tones and ranges.
MALE LINES:
(panicky) Oh man… Oh man… Where could that special mixtape be? … Someone must have thrown away his special mixtape when we were cleaning!
FEMALE LINES:
(stuck up, bratty) *laughs* Oh, you ignorant child. Haven't you heard the latest news? I have a very reputable source who tells me that Space Boyfriend and Sweetheart have since parted ways!

Aubrey is one of the deuteragonists. She is very peppy and cheerful in DREAM WORLD, clashing with Kel from time to time.
In the real world, she is a delinquent and is very thick-skinned, as she has distanced herself from her old friends.
The first and second lines are of Aubrey in the DREAM WORLD, while the third/fourth is from the Aubrey in the real world. I imagine her having a medium/high voice; everything else is up to you!
Hi Omori! We were hoping that you'd come by soon! Wanna play cards with us? We were just about to start another game!
People get over breakups all the time! I'm sure Space Boyfriend will be back on his feet soon. He just needs some time to readjust.

I imagine Mari with a more mature, medium-range voice. I'm open to anything else as well!

I imagine BOSS to have a deeper, bossier voice. He is not too threatening, simply just angry and frustrated, like a child who didn't get their way.

SPACE BOYFRIEND/CAPTAIN SPACEBOY is a boss within the game. He is the ex-lover of SWEETHEART, and is leader of the SPACE PIRATES. He has a fearsome alter ego (SPACE BOYFRIEND) but is typically kind and laid-back. He is a minor character.
The first line is of SPACE BOYFRIEND, while the last two are CAPTAIN SPACEBOY. The first line should have an angry tone, as it is right before he fights the protagonists. The latter two are after the boss battle.
Make sure to have good duality! Any voice range will do. A royal/formal tone is preferred, as he acts as a sort of public figure and leader to his pirates.
I AM CAPTAIN OF THE SPACE PIRATES! I control all the planets in the solar system and have the ability to fly through space at will!
H-Huh? What happened? W-Where am I? W-Who are you?!

SWEETHEART reminds me of a 90's anime villain, mostly because of her trope-y lines and her iconic laugh. Feel free to try out whatever voice you believe suits her.
How you sway me with your words! Although it may be over between us, my heart has not yet forgotten you. I will give you one last chance. MARRY ME, HERO, HERE AND NOW!

SOMETHING is the embodiment of Sunny's guilt, or resembles Mari's ghost. It appears throughout the game in the shape of his fears and haunts him. It's shape is the last form Sunny saw of Mari after accidentally killing her. This character will be voiced on any form of SOMETHING that appears and speaks throughout the game.
Any voice will be considered for this, as there are many interpretations of it. Voice effects/changers can be used!
