STARBORN: Season 1 Final Casting
Project Overview
What is The Starborn Collective?
The Starborn Collective is a collection of three audio dramas - Two initial ones, titled Infested and Subliminals, and then Starborn, a sequel that voice actors from this wave will also be involved in. It will be produced by me, amidst a team of assistants who will be helping to produce it. It is a project that has been in development for several years but has now found its footing enough to begin the early stages of production.
Requirements:
Everyone on this team is relatively new and inexperienced, so we try to hold ourselves to the same standard that we hold any auditioning voice actors. You do not need to have a professional setup, however having a microphone that can record in good quality and having access to Discord is key to being able to partake in this project. A link to the public Discord server we have created can be found later in this description.
Payment:
Unfortunately, this project is pay-free for the foreseeable future. This is a passion project at the moment that we hope to gain traction on in the future, but it is not currently in our budget to provide payment as we are all young and aspiring creators. Of course, this is subject to change in the distant future if all goes well but is a consideration for the distant future.
Role Significance:
Some voice actors will have to fulfil greater expectations than others depending on the importance of the character that they voice. For example, being in a leading role for this project means that you will likely be interacting with myself and the other producers frequently, so it is good not to have an aversion to social interaction and becoming acquainted with us as a staff team and a community.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Most characters in this show are LGBTQ+ and end up in relationships that are also LGBTQ+. If you aren’t comfortable with portraying that, it’s best not to audition! Thank you!

Side Character
Ivy is a gentle spoken, but stern woman. She is not overtly demanding, but she is pragmatic, and is highly respectable. Despite her gentle tone, her determined and certain tone tends to command respect. She is adventurous, determined, and has an unstoppable attitude, to the point she can be incredibly stubborn, whether detrimental or beneficial. Her approach to things can sometimes take on the “my way or the highway” approach, but she attempts to reconcile this through cooperating with her companions. However, she is not afraid to voice her opinions or her demands if she believes her words are to the benefit of the group.

“[Stern] Alina, You’re supposed to be in space. I want to know why you’re here before anything else.”
“Seriously. Just go back. Whatever you’re here to do, I doubt it’s worth risking your life for.”
Side Character.
Dr. Bailey is a stern man, who seems to be very dedicated to his work nonetheless. Bri seems to look up to him a lot, even having pursued her medical career to help people like her father does. Dr. Bailey doesn’t have any particular inspirations, unfortunately!!

"It is my duty as a doctor to treat you anyway. Even if it means you’ll return to your former behaviors."
A mysterious character who is only mentioned in passing, as a sore subject for the Sedulous. She appears only for one episode, but will make brief appearances in the future, too. She has a peppy, happy tone.

A mysterious, ghastly person. He is slightly off-putting in demeanor, yet has a chill, relaxed way of speaking. He’s a bit of a vigilante-type, swooping in when the moment calls. He’s clever and cunning behind that relaxed exterior, but he still makes a good friend, and is relatively easy-going when you aren’t opposing him.
NOTE: His first appearance is in Season 2. You will not have work for him immediately, but as a major character, we wish to begin a search for his voice now!
