Hello everyone! I'm Narbs, and I'm looking for people to help me with my Attack on Titan fandub project! This'll be an English fandub, and it will hopefully run all the way through to the final season, which is why it's important to note that if you're going to audition, you should prepare for a long time working on the fandub. Although if you have some sort of real life emergency, I will respect that. Real life is always going to be coming first in this project. I'm looking forward to having fun with you guys. Generally, there are some requirements here, and I'll bring those up now!
KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS FANDUB IS SERIOUS, AND IT'S JUST MY OWN SPIN ON THE ANIME. Some minor dialogue changes and sound effects changes will be present, as to not copy the original source material.
- The age requirement to audition is 15+
- Must have a good microphone, and reduced static. I can reduce some, but I would much rather have little to none to start with. Also try and use some sort of a pop filter. I just put a sock on my microphone as a sort of makeshift one.
- If you're auditioning for a voice role, give it your all. Be fully prepared to scream. (But do not mic peak you animals >:( it sucks to listen to)
- Have a little bit of voice acting experience to start with. This will be a serious fandub, and I'm hoping to get some good performances.
- Try to watch some Attack on Titan if you haven't already, it's important that you understand your character's motivations and goals, as well as the context of the dialogue.
- This sounds overly-done and cheesy, and it is -- but I want you guys to have fun playing your character! After all, the best part of taking on a character that you love playing is that you have endless motivation and inspiration at all times! People like that give me more than what I want, and you'll excite the heck out of me! :D
If you're wondering where roles like Levi and Jean went, they're gone, I took them! (>:D) But in all seriousness, I'm also aspiring to be a voice actor, and I've done a few things with some friends already, I've wanted to try out these roles for so long now. Although if you absolutely kill one of the characters that I took, for the sake of quality, I will give you that character.
I'm personally all caught up with the anime and manga, and I'm a huge Attack on Titan fan, so I'm already present in the community!
We'll hang out and have fun in the Discord server, because after all, this is just a fun little project that I want to get out there, and I wanna get to know all of you! Even if you don't land a spot in the cast, we can still have fun in the Discord, and I might even land you a minor character role, as those are always needing to be filled! I honestly cannot wait to see you all in action when December rolls around! You're all gonna kill it!

You'll be working alongside me in getting all the cool sound bits into the final product. You can create the sound effects yourself or show me your audacity magic with already existing ones. (That is if you at all use audacity)
- To qualify for this, all you need to do is provide me with your previous works, OR you can link something that you put together for this audition! Whatever sits with you!
Say something you think would fit
Most of the anime, Eren is 15, but the voice doesn't have to be squeaky, just believable to an extent. He is also 9-ish child during certain scenes, and later on towards the final season, he is 19. This character requires a deluge of emotion, and he is one to shout often.
"I disposed of some dangerous beasts. Mere animals that just happened to resemble humans." (He's a young child here)
"If you think reality is just living comfortably and following your own whims, can you seriously dare to call yourself a soldier!?"
"I'll slaughter you all... and take back the land you stole! All of it!" (Angrily shouting)
A very powerful character, and is the same age as Eren. She often neglects showing emotion, but lets it slip out around Eren most of the time. She cares deeply for him, and is willing to die to maintain his safety. Her voice pitch will sound good as long as it's not excessively high or low.
“Once I'm dead, I won't even be able to remember you. So I'll win, no matter what. I'll live, no matter what!” (Motivating self in a dire situation)
"This world is cruel... But it's also very beautiful." (Recalling various events and making a conclusion to self)
"I'm strong... real strong. None of you even come close." (Is speaking to a large group of cadets after finding out someone close to her just died, sort of emotionless)
Armin can be voiced by both a male and female, because generally he's a bit more of a soprano-tenor range. He's the same age as Eren and Mikasa, and is an intelligent individual with dreams and goals as strong as Eren's. He's not afraid to do something required to save his comrades, even if it means killing.

"Something's been troubling me ever since I saw Eren fight as a titan... I haven't even sorted out my own thoughts yet, but I've got to do this." (Thinking to himself as he walks out to possibly meet his death)
"Jean! Avenge the bastard who rushed to his death!" (Shouting out to distract a titan about to kill his friend)
Jean is a teen as well, with a voice that generally could range from tenor to baritone, he's cocky and he often likes to tell others that he's a genius. Although not too incompetent, he's not exactly what he wants to make others believe. He's the shortest male soldier next to Levi.
"Sorry, but I'm a genius."
"H-Hey, what did you rub on me!?" (Jean just wiped his "Faith in humanity" on Connie's back)
"All I care about... is getting a chance to fight that ape titan!"
Annie is a person who is relatively hard to read, who often shares the same emotionlessness as Mikasa. She does have a moment however where she drops that and lets out a genuine laugh, albeit a sort of terrifying one in nature.
"If someone told you to die, would you do it?"
"I just want the weak who do get swept along with the flow to be considered human too."
"I have failed in becoming a warrior..."
Reiner is a physically strong man who is conflicted regarding his duties as a warrior of his homeland, and being a survey corps soldier. He's often accompanied by Bertholdt, and he often remains level-headed until later on when his identity is revealed, in which he's rather conflicted. I imagine a more masculine voice for him.
"It's too late now... I don't know what's right anymore. But the only choice for me now is to face the consequence of my actions... and as a warrior, fulfil my duty to the bitter end!" (He sounds conflicted, and he's finally letting something out that he's been keeping secret for several years)
"We wait... at least until they gather 'round..." (Replying to Annie, who asked him something)
"Eren, could I talk to you for a moment?" (Is calling Eren over, in a completely calm voice, despite being seconds away from revealing his true identity)
Bertolt is a quiet, shy, and nervous person, and is often always accompanied by a drop of sweat or two. He generally has a sort of baritone voice, and he always sticks by Reiner's side. He seems a bit more confident after revealing himself, and he has clear intentions.
"You devil-spawn, I'll kill you!" (Losing his cool after Armin lies about Annie being tortured)
"Right here!? Now!? We're doing this!?" (His nervousness reaching its peak as he's about to reveal his identity along with Reiner)
"I feel like, no matter how all of this plays out... I can accept whatever happens. That's right, nobody's in the wrong. There's nothing we could do. Because this world... is just... that cruel." (Bertolt reaching some sort of conclusion after revealing himself)
Erwin on the outside is what a leader should be, confident, intelligent, and courageous. He is the commander of the survey corps. He has a strong masculine voice, and is very straight-forward when speaking. In times of command, he knows how to shout and raise his voice efficiently. An absolute hype-machine if anything. The kind of individual you would have no problem dying under.
"ADVANCE!!!" (Shouting an order to his soldiers, remaining confident, and much like a leader should be)
"If the plan would have worked out, we could have plugged the hole in the Shiganshina District in less than a day."
"Don't. You'll regret it. If you begin to regret, you'll dull your future decisions, and let others make your choices for you." (Erwin giving words of wisdom to Levi)
Hange is an eccentric and excitable individual who also happens to possess an incredible intellect and fascination for the titans. Despite this, they can be incredibly serious when the occasion arises that they needs to be. Although Hange's sex is supposed to be left for interpretation, they have a rather feminine voice in the anime, which fits their appearance as well.
"Eren's face! Hurry up and sketch it!" (Seems rather excited, and wants to get this action done immediately before the opportunity vanishes)
"Do you know what exactly we in the Survey Corps have spilled our blood for? To take back our freedom that the titans stole from us. For that cause... our lives were a small price to pay!"
"To think they would use soldiers to kill him..."
Moblit is the assistant to Hange Zoë, who tries to keep them from doing anything crazy most of the time. Much like Bertolt, he can be seen as a cautious and nervous fellow, but he's a true soldier at the end of the day. Tenor-baritone pitch for him.
"Section Commander, do you think they really--?"
"Fourth Squad Section Commander Hange Zoë and Executive Officer Moblit Berner!"
"Why? What's the capital's Military Police doing down south in Trost?"
Keith is a man who had dreams working his way up the Survey Corps ranks, but eventually, he gave them up upon meeting Grisha Yeager, and taking on the role of Survey Corps Commander. He's a drill instructor during the training scenes, and he sounds the type. Definitely a more war-torn voice that can be raised at the drop of a hat.
"That's right. Average men aren't able to accomplish anything. Special people do exist. It's just that... I wasn't one of them." (Sort of reflecting upon himself)
"Why did you take that potato out just now?" (Confused at the fact that anyone would do such a thing out in formation)
"How very admirable! You should make good first-rate titan feed! Third squad! About face!" (Is a drill instructor during training)
Historia is a kind-hearted individual who cares deeply for those around her, some of the characters even refer to her as a goddess. Her voice is easily much more on the higher pitch side, and she's the type who's small and soft on the outside, but her interior is strong.
"I am Historia Reiss, the true ruler of these walls."
"Since it was the first time that mother had done something that made me happy"
"A woman's heart is a deep ocean of secrets"
Ymir is mostly a cynical, and carefree person who seems to be rather selfish. Around Historia, however, she becomes very protective and caring, showing that she cares immensely for her. She talks in a mocking way almost towards most other cadets, and she speaks as if she doesn't care. Her pitch is a bit more deep in terms of feminine pitch, although it can sound a little more moderate.
"Krista... I have no right to tell you how to live. So this is just... a wish of mine. Live your life... with pride."
"I want to survive... and see her again. As a person, I'm really lower than shit. But she knows that, and she smiles kindly at me anyway." (Is speaking of wanting to see Historia again)
"When I opened my eyes, what I saw was freedom spread out before me. If there was such a thing as fate, I can only laugh at how fickle it can be."
Sasha is a generally friendly individual with a playful careless attitude, she has a seemingly endless appetite, and will often go to great lengths just to get her hands on something to eat. Her voice pitch doesn't matter too much, perhaps on the more moderate feminine side of things.
"Sir, are you asking why people eat potatoes?"
"I guess... I'll never be able to go back home."
"Um... so... are you saying I can have that?" (She is referring to someone else's food)
Pixis is the Commander of the Garrison Regiment, and has a taste for booze, often carrying a flask with him. His voice can vary in rasp depending on your interpretation. He's pretty level-headed at all times, and knows how to word things well to get a situation in his favor.
"Let's have them show...whether they're suited to rule over the human race. They will be the ones to rule over that decision."
"Don't let appearances deceive you, this boy here is in fact the product of cutting-edge science!" (Giving a speech out to countless soldiers about Eren Yeager)
"The guilt is ours. We share the blame. All of us." (Speaking out about the deaths of countless civilians)
Miche is a quiet fellow with a pretty deep voice. His skill as a soldier is second only to Levi, and he has a peculiarly strong sense of smell. He's eccentric in some ways, including sniffing new cadets, but he has a lot of leadership in him, and is motivated as a soldier.
"Humanity's first defeat will only come when we stop fighting. As long as we keep fighting, we haven't lost."
"*Sniff Sniff* ... Not as sharp as yours, anyway." (Referring to Erwin's nose)
*Battle cry as he raises his sword to the Beast Titan*
Petra gets little screen time, serving in Levi's squad as a skilled soldier, she is friendly and kind, although quite serious in dire situations. Moderate to high feminine voice pitch.
"Trust in us, Eren"
"Just one eye!? You concentrated on one eye so it'd heal faster!? How can... you do that!?"
"Captain... I can't stop the bleeding!" (Is attempting to save her dying comrade)
Oluo is a cocky member of Levi's squad who happens to have a thing for impersonating him, in almost a sort of mocking way. I'd imagine his voice pitch to be pretty average and baritone.
"To hell with capturing it! Take what's coming to you!" (Rushing in out of rage after watching his squadmates die)
"I don't know what the deal is with you being a titan or whatever, but Levi isn't going to just babysi- *proceeds to bite tongue*"
"GET OUT OF THE WAY, PETRA!" (Screaming out to her as she is about to be crushed)
Eld is another member of Levi's squad, an easy second in terms of leadership, maybe even surpassing Levi himself. He's a rather serious individual, but he can pass a joke or two around when given the oppurtunity. His voice is a little on the deeper side, and a bit more disciplined in terms of tone.
"Oluo! Petra! For a couple of soldiers who cried and pissed their pants during their first battle, you've really grown!"
"Heh, my bad, my bad. As someone who's fought alongside you all these years, it's just really moving to see, you know?"
"Nothing wrong with things staying the same." (Speaking to Gunther)
Gunther is a little more on the serious side like Eld, but he's also one to loosen up around his trusted comrades. He's the final member of Levi's squad. His voice in pitch would be pretty average in pitch, a lot of people could probably get down a voice for him easily.
"Are you people on a picnic? We're outside of the wall!"
"Nope, I've got nothing. What are we going to do?"
"A teacup! That's a great idea!" (Referring to an idea given regarding a gift for Levi)
Rico is an elite soldier of the Garrison Regiment, she's honest and competent to say the least, and she's a pretty good titan-killer. Rico is more on the serious side in her duties, and she's quite war-torn after witnessing the deaths of her comrades. Moderate to deep feminine pitch, I'd say.
"What was I supposed to do, lie in the report? Covering up the truth wouldn't do humanity any good."
"Comrades... your sacrifices weren't in vain... This day... it belongs to humanity!" (Trying to hold it together as she witnesses humanity's first major victory)
"I know, if we don't act now, things are going to go sideways." (Acknowledging panic amongst the soldiers)
Carla is the mother of Eren, and is the motherly type, watching out for Eren and being concerned for his tendency to dream about leaving the walls. She cares deeply for her family and puts them before herself. Average feminine pitch.
"Eren, what are you thinking!? Do you know how many people have died because they dared to venture outside of the walls!?" (Lecturing young Eren, and trying to convince him not to become a soldier)
"Thank you, Hannes... thank you." (Thanking Hannes as she knows she is going to die)
"Is it wrong to not be special?"
Grisha is the father of Eren, and is an intelligent man who's seen a lot in his time. He speaks as a father should, and he seemingly encourages Eren to explore, and moves him to find answers. High to moderate masculine pitch.
"When I get back from my trip, I'll show you what I've been working on down in the basement, okay, Eren?"
"Eren! Listen to me! Hold still! Please stop moving!" (Struggling to inject Eren with titan serum)
"Don't worry, I'll help everyone" (Fulfilling his duties as a doctor)
Hannes is a Garrison Regiment officer, and happens to be a drunk at the start of the anime. Despite this, he does his best to look after Eren, Mikasa, and Armin after they became orphans. He probably has a bit of rasp to his voice, and he could also be seen as a somewhat cocky type of person.
"Eren. You couldn't save your mother because you lacked the strength. And I... I couldn't stand up to that titan because I lacked the courage!" (Is beginning to get emotional)
"Don't worry, Carla, I'll take down the titan and save all of you!" (Is seemingly confident in his abilities, and is underestimating the titan's intimidating presence)
"I'm about to avenge your mother, and butcher the shit out of this thing!"
