Moblit is the assistant to Hange Zoë, who tries to keep them from doing anything crazy most of the time. Much like Bertolt, he can be seen as a cautious and nervous fellow, but he's a true soldier at the end of the day. Tenor-baritone pitch for him.

  • "Section Commander, do you think they really--?"

  • "Fourth Squad Section Commander Hange Zoë and Executive Officer Moblit Berner!"

  • "Why? What's the capital's Military Police doing down south in Trost?"

Haha I did 7 years of theatre myself, so I know what you're talking about. The thing about that is that there are some noticeable distinctions between theatre and voice acting, and not everything from one applies to the other. I am curious to know how exactly you recorded this audio, considering it sounds somewhat compressed and strange. Not really bad by any means, but it just sounds odd.

Yeah definitely! For the audio, I changed the graphic eq levels. I have a preset on audacity that I normally use for most stuff. I also compressed it a bit and used de-clicker and de-esser plugins. Idk, I'm still trying to find the optimal recording set up and I've been told different things from people. I've also been doing some stuff on ACX and so I usually try to check that it matches up with their standards. But sometimes to make it fit those standards I am forced to overly compress the audio for rms levels. So maybe sometimes I should just go with what sounds best to me instead. Also I am using a blue yeti USB pro, which I believe is pretty good in terms of USB mics. I heard that USB mics used to be really frowned upon in the vo community but have gotten better in recent years. Might consider going with an xlr in the future though if there are any that aren't super expensive. Sorry if this comment is kind of long lol

No you're fine. I use a Blue Yeti USB as well and I'm able to make my audio sound decent. I'd say try not to compress it as much as you do, and try to keep the actual audio a little raw, perhaps with just a bit of noise reduction if you need it. I dunno, if you give me your Discord, I will discuss this further with you, and we can just make things a bit easier overall.

Yeah that makes sense. Sure, I'd love to talk more about it my Discord is c0nm4573r#7513
