About Danganronpa: Genocide Masquerade:
Danganronpa: Genocide Masquerade is a nonprofit, fan-made spin-off of the original Danganronpa series. It will take place as a video series edited to give the feeling of the original Danganronpa games. The universe of Danganronpa: Genocide Masquerade is completely detached from that of the official games, and as such, the story will follow with original elements shown through various concepts, characters, locations and themes, while still maintaining an exciting and thrilling killing game.
Synopsis:
Within the large city of Neo-Tokyo, Tsukuyomi Corporation acts as the leader of society. Running underneath it are various companies ranging from massive retail brands to impressive high tech products. Every year, a select number of high school students are awarded Ultimate titles that congratulate a range of talents. These students are offered to study at the Tsukuyomi Institute in place of university.
The protagonist, Hanae Adomi, was awarded with the title of 'Ultimate Card Shark', due to her excessive winnings through gambling games, especially poker. One night, she rides a limousine with her fellow Ultimate students to the famed Canevari Hotel, where they were supposed to stay until their official Ultimate Reception ceremony took place. However, things quickly take a dark turn as she finds out her and the other Ultimates have been trapped inside to play a most deadly game - the killing game.
REQUIREMENTS:
Due to the mature nature of Danganronpa, you must be 16+ to audition.
I will be looking for audio quality, clear voices, and the ability to effectively convey emotion. Although this is an unpaid project, I am putting my upmost effort into it, so I hope you will do the same.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND:
That you are available throughout March this year to finish any lines! I expect all prologue voice lines to be finished before March 24th.
That you will NOT share spoilers about the series pre-release. If chosen, you have my trust to not leak anything about the project before it is officially released. This includes all spoilers such as plot-twists, victims/killers, etc.
As you may know, Danganronpa involves mature themes such as blood, vulgar language, mental illnesses and more. If chosen, I will notify you about the story of your character so you are well aware of any dark themes before hand. It is highly encouraged that you are comfortable with strong themes such as depression, violence, blood, and various types of abuse before auditioning.
This will be a long term project. Please ensure you will be able to stick with this project for a long period of time.
If chosen, you will be credited in the description of all episodes, as well as through a voice actor reveal video.
About the Current Progress:
The prologue, Canevari's Cure for Boredom, is nearing completion, with the exception of voice acting. All voice actors cast will have their time to shine in the prologue. As for the full story, the overall storyline is completed.
Workload:
You are only required to voice short lines for daily life/deadly life, with cutscenes and class trials being fully voiced. In other words, it'll be the same amount of voice acting as in the original Danganronpa games.

As the time for the selection process draws near, I have reached out to a few voice actors by friend requesting them via discord and may continue to do so in the following week. During this time, my display name will be temporarily changed to include “DR: Genocide Masquerade” in it. I am currently only reaching out to ask for further auditions for specific roles, and this does not guarantee you being selected. Think of it as a way for me to broaden my choices when the voice actors are finally chosen.

Pronunciation: Ha-na-eh Ah-doh-mee
Main protagonist.
Personality: Hanae does not see value in the emotions of others, with the exception being a few 'close' friends. All she really desires from life is entertainment, and as such she has grown into a few bad habits of inducing drama and messing with others, affecting her social life. Despite her talent being seemingly 'useless', she still believes in her superiority as a person. Unbeknownst to others, her pride may be more fragile than it seems. She’s snarky, sarcastic and sly.
Voice Description: Medium-low female voice, usually calm and composed in front of others. Show arrogance, confidence and sarcasm.
(Confident) "I’m known as the Ultimate Card Shark."
(Sarcastic) "Then why don’t you bring it with you and cuddle it while we explore?"
(Uncertain, unamused) "Sure, but… is that *really* my fault?"
Pronunciation: Kah-zoo-oh Chee-hah-rah
Protagonist Support.
Personality: Kazuo is an energetic and kind-hearted person, never failing to lighten the mood. His optimistic spirit brings smiles to people’s faces, but even he can recognise when situations are serious. He tries to get along with others despite any differences, making him a true peacemaker. However, everyone has a dark side hidden beneath their cover, even if his could be described as... a little 'brighter'.
Voice Description: Medium to medium-high male with a carefree tone. High-pitched when emotional or shocked, otherwise bold and confident.
(Confident) “I'm your one and only Kazuo Chihara, the Ultimate Prankster!”
(Startled, offended) “O-ow, what the hell was that for?!”
(Concerned, gentle) “Hey… are you okay? Are you awake?”
Pronunciation: Mee-yu Mee-yah-zah-kee
Personality: Mischievous yet cute, Miyu is constantly looking for ‘the thrills’, as she calls it. She enjoys messing with people using her expertise in knife throwing to toy with them. She'll always be open to socialising, but when she’s denied her way, she may get a little vulgar.
Voice Description: High-pitched female, but not squeaky. Joyful, playful, rambunctious and talks with a smile. Accentuates her vowels when she either wants or implies something.
(Annoyed) “Fine! I'm Miyu Miyazaki, the Super Spectacular Ultimate Impalement Artist! Don't forget my name again!”
(Sly, playful) "Oh, so, technically speaking... if this prop knife hits your body, it won't hurt, because it's fake, right? Hehe, wanna try it out?"
(Annoying) "Nope! I'm way too cute to be doing the dirty work, pyo~n!”
Pronunciation: Koh-yuu-kee Sah-sah-kee
Personality: Although she puts on a childlike front to match her appearance, her mind is greater than most. Koyuki is cunning and quick to adapt, however it has made her too smart for children her age and too young for people with her mental age. It never bothered her, though, as she never valued proper relationships. Instead, she prefers to do as she likes, and to entertain herself as much as possible. Many would be surprised to hear the words that come out of her mouth — her cute looks contradicts her rude and haughty personality.
Voice Description: High-pitched female and very childlike, but not squeaky. Becomes lower when serious or threatening, but high nonetheless.
(Sharp, playful, childish) “Koyuki! Sasaki! The Ultimate Talent Prodigy!”
(Spiteful, mischievous) “Says you. I can't believe you were criticizing my title with a talent like that.”
(Demanding) “Hurry up and make something sweet you useless imbecile!”
Pronunciation: Ree-kuu Hah-nah-boo-sah
Personality: Riku was known as the ‘Flower Freak’ at his school, often getting teased for liking such girly things. This life of perpetual bullying has caused Riku's lack of confidence, which is shown in his hesitancy while speaking. Such habits have only caused his shy, introverted nature to envelop him whole. If you get him to open up, however, his eyes will shine with a bright smile as he rambles on about his talent.
Voice Description: Medium-high male voice. Stutters often and has a soft, breathy, wincing tone.
(Shy) “That’s right, Riku Hanabusa. I was recognised for my talent as the Ultimate Floral Designer”
(Shocked, scared) “W-what? No, this… c-can’t be—“
(Offended rambling) “No! Absolutely not! Florists just sell bouquets, but I... I'm more of an artist! People commission me to design floral arrangements for things like parties and weddings..."
Pronunciation: Zeh-nn-toh Foh-chey
Personality: Labelled as a genius and one of the most precious, young minds of society, Zento has solved many ‘unsolvable’ cases on his own in the name of the Renard Detective Agency. Many have described his forensic expertise to be especially high level and professional, however the constant praise he receives doesn’t help for his arrogant and dismissive attitude. He has a strong dislike for people with slow minds.
Voice Description: Medium-low male, occasionally higher when teasing or mocking. Confident and sarcastic with a relaxed, soothing tone.
(Calm, defeated) “...Right. It's Zento Faucher, the Ultimate Forensic Detective.”
(Snarky, haughty) “Better than being a gambling addict.”
(Disturbed, deflated) “…I’d rather not.”
Pronunciation: Eep-pay Fuu-koo-moh-toh
Personality: At first glance, Ippei seems like your average rough, rowdy, rebellious hoodlum. An outcast to society who only exists to cause trouble and break laws. However, Ippei is the closest thing to 'justice' than any law-abiding citizen ever could be. Behind his intimidating looks and stentorian nature is a sweet, optimistic kid who's only ever done what he's had to.
Voice Description: Medium male, rowdy, and loud. Occasionally lets out deep, low-pitched grumbles and expresses his emotions with pride (i.e laughs loudly, yells harshly)
(Friendly) "The name's Ippei Fukumoto, the Ultimate Street Racer! Sorry for the rough greeting earlier."
(Reassuring, ignorant) "Don't sweat it, little dude. She's jus' being mean for no reason."
(Aggrieved, furious) "SCREW THESE GODDAMN KIDNAPPERS!"
Pronunciation: Joo-nn Tah-kah-hah-shee
Personality: Jun was well-known as the 'Young Gentleman' at Bellini Royals Bar for his charming smile, sophisticated humour and people-pleaser attitude. He is a gentle person who wants to maintain peace between others, and seeks for solutions during times of conflicts. These traits, along with his mixology expertise, made him the most suitable candidate for his title of Ultimate Bartender.
Voice Description: Low-pitched male, not unnaturally deep. Tender, gentle and empathetic with a polite and proper tone. Has a formal way of speaking. Voice becomes more forceful when put into a leadership role/serious situation.
(Calm) "My apologies. You may call me Jun Takahashi, the Ultimate Bartender."
(Delighted, pleased) "Never judge a book by its cover, as the saying goes."
(Forceful, strict) "Sir. Stay here, please."
Pronunciation: Fuu-yuu-mee Ah-gah-wah
Personality: Unlike most would expect of a film director, Fuyumi is usually quiet and soft-spoken in her speech. However, in the studio, Fuyumi undergoes an instant personality flip, and looks to control every detail of every scene, whether it be lighting, costume, character or the mise-en-scène. Newcomers under her direction may find it hard to listen to her, what with her naturally soft voice, but when the right buttons are pushed and people begin to talk over Fuyumi, her voice booms across the room in a fit of rage... with the help of her megaphone.
Voice Description: Medium-pitched female. Timid, soft, but still displays independence. Has hints of sarcasm when needed. Anger is expressed sharp, snappy, and aggressive.
(Content, prideful) "Ehehehe... you know me? Y—you must have an exceptional taste in movies..."
(Blunt) "I know of movies where we collaborated with prodigious music composers... I've worked with a few, though, so I can't say your name stands out to me."
(Furious) "You stupid little BRAT! Don't you understand what you've done?!"
Pronunciation: Dah-ee-chee Ree-kee-mah-roo
Personality: Daichi tends to spend a lot of time indoors, constantly working on music from commissions to his own personal work. Because of this, Daichi cherishes the time he gets to spend outside with his friends. Although he has developed some introverted quirks because of this, he's anything but. When given the chance, Daichi can become an optimistic influence that brightens the room with his naturally charismatic, extroverted personality.
Voice Description: Medium-high pitched male teen. Outgoing and friendly, laidback and relaxed. Slightly higher-pitched when expressing emotional distress. Please have the ability to whistle.
(Smug, calm) "Get off her back, yeah? How 'bout you interview me instead?"
(Cheerful, amazed) "Aren't we all famous, in a way? I mean, we're all here because we've done amazing things!"
(Unconfident, desperate) "Hey, I've worked in some of your movies before, Fuyumi. Surely you remember me, right? Right...?"
Pronunciation: Ah-kee-hee-koh Sah-kah-ee
Personality: Akihiko is a young, famous TV host, who is primarily known for bringing the gameshow Spiral of Mayhem to fame overnight. Everyone knows him as energetic, charismatic and cute - the ideal host and symbol for any show! Because of these expectations, Akihiko puts on his over-excited, over-exaggerated front at all times, even in person. In truth, he only expresses his genuine self when alone.
Voice Description: Medium-high to high pitched male. Energetic, excited, but in an exaggerated and flamboyant way. Must have the ability to suddenly switch between an energetic tone to a fatigued, unconcerned, flat tone as well as a deeper pitched voice.
(Upbeat) "Aaaand that's my queue! Akihiko Sakai, the Ultimate TV Personality and popular gameshow host, is here to introduce our wonderful guests!"
(Shocked) "I didn't really take you for the spoiled brat type! Plot twist!"
(Embarrassed, hurt, defeated) "I think that's the last of them, anyways. Your beloved TV- I mean, I'll just get going to bed now."
Pronunciation: She-hoe Tah-ka-oh
Personality: Shiho had always been a prodigy in anything athletic. Her physical prowess had always exceeded her already high expectations, but the thing she looked forward to most wasn't baseball, swimming or track running. It was finishing her day free running around her neighbourhood with only one rule to follow - never touch the ground. Shiho's personality reflects her need for freedom - she's free-spirited, laid-back, highly energetic, and incredibly easy to get along with. However, she's very prone to getting scared, panicked or shocked.
Voice Description: Medium-high female. Talks like an extrovert, with very high energy and natural kindness.
(Flustered, panicky) "What's up?! I'm Shiho Takao, your fellow Ultimate Traceur!"
(Energetic, upbeat) "So what's up, my Ultimate Prankster bro? Come to think of it, that's kind of a strange talent..."
(Concerned) "H-hey! Get down from there already!"
Pronunciation: Seh-ee-kee Oo-shee-goh-meh
Personality: Despite working as a mortician, Seiki upholds a cheerful and... somewhat friendly demeanour. She has a strange hobby of scaring others whether it be through fake stories at her work, or just jump scaring people in the dark. You may think she doesn't take the death of others seriously, but in fact, it's quite the opposite. While she doesn't fear death, Seiki truly believes in a gentle ending to everyone's story, hence why she chose to pursue a career which would allow her to properly send off the souls that once thrived in this world.
Voice Description: Medium to medium-low female range. Friendly and cheerful, but can easily switch to a creepier, threatening tone of voice.
(Delighted, abrupt) "Seiki Ushigome! Feel free to call me Seiki, though. Let's be friends!"
(Dull, threatening) "Want me to actually take your life away next time?"
(Slight disgust) "Oh, you're sick alright— more than me, that's for sure."
Pronunciation: Mah-sah-koh Ee-mah-ee
Personality: Masako's upbringing was uneventful, due to her two busy, yet successful, fashion designer parents. Despite the heavy lessons given to her on design principles by her mother, she surprised the media by ignoring strict fashion codes and slowly, her extravagant sense of creativity and design led to her taking a greater interest in couture and high fashion. Her demeanour is described to be stern, confident, and straight to the point.
Voice description: Low-medium to low female. Careful and cunning, with a bit of sass when talking. Calm and composed.
(Smug) "That's right. Masako Imai, the illustrious couturier."
(Sarcastic, unamused) "Oh, you were serious? Sorry, that sentence was so absurd that I assumed it was a poor attempt of a joke."
(Irritated) "You idiots, I can't tell if you're ignoring reality or just plain stupid. That robot obviously wasn't referring to video games."
Pronunciation: Yuu-rah Kah-neh-koh
Personality: Yura is known as the more relaxed and gentle one of the Kaneko twins. Contrary to her brother, Yura took an interest in astrology, a pseudo-science belief, and single-handedly grew a fanbase that followed her and her profession. Even if others claim that stuff like 'reading the stars' and 'predicting the future' isn't real, Yura was able to do these things with scarily high accuracy. Although her and her brother frequently bicker about this topic, there is no one dearer to her than he is. After all, he was the only one to support her throughout her entire life.
Voice Description: Medium to medium-high female voice. Calm and gentle tone with a proper/formal way of speaking, but emotional shock such as being flustered, stunned, or irritated is prominent and breaks her proper speech.
(Neutral) "Allow us to introduce ourselves. I am Yura Kaneko, the Ultimate Astrologist."
(Interrupting, flustered) "*cough* Ahem, *we* dressed like this for the occasion."
(Spooked) "And just so you know! The library is... uh... kind of eerie... you know? It's dim, and I couldn't help but feel like someone was in there with us... Silently watching..."
Pronunciation: Koh-oo-seh-ee Kah-neh-koh
Personality: Kousei is known as the more casual and logical one of the Kaneko twins. But don't let his prodigious, academic mind trick you into thinking his personality is just as boring. Despite being the studious type, Kousei has his average, teenage boy hobbies, as well. Even though he presents himself professionally by using a wide range of vocabulary when giving speeches on his research and projects, he's completely different in person, taking on a more casual, laid-back and even lazy attitude.
Voice description: Medium male voice. Extremely casual in his speech patterns, but friendly and open nonetheless.
(Friendly) "And I'm Kousei, the Ultimate Astronomer."
(Accusing, seething irritation) "No, *you* dressed us like this for the occasion."
(Shocked) "The hell's wrong with this kid?!"
Pronunciation: Leh-vuh-reht
Personality: One of the two main hosts of the killing game. Leverett has all the qualities it takes to run a killing game - dramatic, entertaining, and completely devoid of all emotional attachment to the participants! Well, he's just artificial intelligence, after all. He speaks with sophisticated language, thanks to his love for theatre, but will slowly give up and return to normal, modern-day speech when others no longer understand what he's saying.
Voice description: Medium-high to high-pitched male. Speaks with an enthusiastic tone, but can easily switch to a more serious, threatening one when (seriously) angered or irritated.
(Imposing) "Huzzah! It is I, Leverett!"
(Annoyed) "No, no, no! You're saying it all wrong, you schmuck!"
(Creepy, mischievous) "Tick, tock... Hear that? The clock's ticking..."
Pronunciation: Sha-too-weel
Personality: One of the two main hosts of the killing game. Chatouille is the quieter host, usually being the one to do behind-the-scene chores. She maintains a softer personality, but she is just as detached to the killing game participants as Leverett. She is often getting scrutinised and harshly critiqued by Leverett, but still makes it her duty to take care of their master's wishes. Once it's clear that the hosts are artificial intelligence, it's obvious that their disputes are merely 0's and 1's. Unless...?
Voice description: Medium high to high-pitched female. Shy and soft-spoken, may stutter frequently. There will be times where a dull tone of voice is needed.
(Shocked) "I-is that begging, I hear? Leverett, you can't complain about my complaining after hearing these complainers complain..."
(Panicked) "E—everyone! Let's stop being rude or... or else Leverett will fall into depression!"
(Fascinated, slightly sarcastic) "In the name of justice? Woow, are those the words of a true-born hero?"
Pronunciation: Boh-tah-nn Shee-mee-zuu

Personality: A calm and calculated man who's only fixated on his ambitions. Botan takes as much advantage as he can as the leader of the Tsukuyomi Ultimate Selection Council, and uses this role to achieve Tsukuyomi Corporation's goals with efficiency. But of course, not without looking after his dear, ex-classmates.
Voice Description: Medium pitched male. Maintains a calm and gentle tone of voice at all times.
(Unamused) "Calm down, you two. Save your disputes for another day."
(Gentle with an eerie tone) "Here, take my hand - you've been through so much."
(Slightly manic, creepy) "Ah... Ahahaha...! Are you seeing what I'm seeing? How beautiful..."
Pronunciation: Reh-ee Shoo-whar-zu-vahr-t
**NOTE: This role will not have as many lines
Personality: Confident and boisterous, Rei only looks for the fun in life. It doesn't matter if it's illegal or not, because who cares? All she wants is fun, fun, fun! She loves to tease others, but she really doesn't understand the concept of 'limits'. Her teasing could almost be mistaken for chronic bullying.
Voice Description: Medium female. Constantly loud and energetic, without a care in the world. Includes tones of cruelty at times.
(Boisterous) "Hell yeah! These suckers won't know what's comin' for 'em, hah!"
(Pleading) "Awh, c'mon, just once! Lemme hit him, just one more time!"
(Harsh, out of breath)"Hah- stupid rat! Hah- get it together already!"
Pronunciation: Fuu-mee-koh Fuu-ruu-yah

Personality: Don't let her small figure and blushing cheeks fool you — her strict and cold front will change your image of her immediately. Fumiko prefers to get to the point, to get things done and over with. In her eyes, art is something that must be presented and made with aesthetic perfection, including her own fashion. She'll never admit it, but she's very loyal to her close ones.
Voice Description: Medium-high pitched female. Soft-spoken yet very stern with a polite/formal tone of voice. Calculating and cunning, but may get easily flustered when surprised.
(Obedient, hesitant) "...Yes. Right away."
(Irritated) "Ridiculous. If we can't get this in order, what are we supposed to do? Get back to work at once!
(Startled) "Wh- nonsense! I would never do something so... preposterous."
Pronunciation: A-shuh Mee-yuu-rah

Personality: A shy boy whose timid personality contradicts his tall height. He may seem like he can easily tower over you, but he's actually the helpless one. He has the capability to create, code and put together any kind of machine. Although, it might take some much needed motivation and support from his peers, as well as a couple more hours of sleep.
Voice Description: Medium to medium-high male. Extremely unconfident and self-conscious, to the point where he is elated by the thought of others harsh criticism. Creepy tone of voice.
(Panicked) "I-I'm sorry! I'll get to work on it... now..."
(Pouty, creepy, deranged) "Ouuchhh, that really hurts... I think I... see bruises on my arms already, heh..."
(Surprised) "Huh? But I swear I was winning... there's no way I could've lost..."
Pronunciation: Ah-ee-mee Sah-kah-noh-oo-eh

Personality: Her pretty face and warm smile is enough to put anyone at ease. Despite her deep knowledge of connections and 'pure love', as she puts it, she never seemed interested in a relationship for herself, as if she worried about others' lives more than her own. The people who know her well may describe her as a 'wolf in sheep's clothing, but if the wolf wanted to learn more about the sheep rather than eat them'.
Voice Description: Medium to medium-high female. Warm and bubbly, and easy to talk to. Almost like a caring older sister. There may be times where her excessive friendliness may come across as unsettling.
(Playful) "Hehe, I told you I'd win. It's alright, you can try again next time."
(Concerned) "Oh, no... would you like me to check on it?"
(Baleful, threatening with a calm smile) "It's alright. I believe all is bound to be well, in the end. So... would you *kindly* let me in?
Pronunciation: Yah-suu Koh-jee-mah

Personality: Not much is known about him, and not many wish to know about him. Although he puts on a rather unconcerned, bored front, those who get to know him would be exposed to his easygoing nature and smooth-talking voice. Despite his eccentric fashion, Yasu wears a smug grin on him at all times, striding his steps with confidence. Is it something to be admired by, or to be disturbed by, considering the amount of people he has bloodied his hands with?
Voice Description: Low to low-medium male voice. Gentle and kind, as well as calculating and thoughtful. Switches to a slightly higher tone of voice when happy or excited, showing an unexpected childish side.
(Reassuring) "Haha, don't worry buddy. You'll get 'em next time for sure."
(Serious) "No. I don't believe that to be the best course of action. Ideally, we should remain patient for the finality."
(Amazed, astounded) "Wooow, this is amazing! You never fail to surprise me, honestly! Just look at it's beauty..."
