Prince of Punk (Otome / BL Game)
Project Overview
Hi everyone! This is a casting call for an upcoming Otome/BL game called Prince of Punk. Our studio is NightMaiden Games, and we started our company since we all had a passion towards Otome and BL games. Our game will feature voice acting as well for our main cast and some of our side characters of the two main bands featured in our game: the Hell Hounds and Death Serpents. The rating will be 17+ We have a variety of voices that need to be cast to create an immersive and enjoyable experience for our game.
These voiced lines will be in English, and participating individuals will be paid $50 for a side character role, $80 for a main character, and $100 for our singer/ voice actor main character role. These payments will be made through Paypal. These prices will be the starting price and will be paid no matter what. Prices will be negotiable and may increase depending on how much is voiced. However, please keep in mind that we will be paying after our Kickstarter is funded. Individuals will be paid, but it will be paid when our game is funded due to us being a startup company. You will be voicing a few lines beforehand, but you will be paid. It is for the promo and some lines for demo.
These auditions will be ongoing till July 4th, 2020 till we find all voice actors. We have no plan to extend the deadline at the moment.
Some things we expect from our voice actors are:
You must be 18+ or older to be a voice actor on our team.
Please submit recordings with no background noise or distracting sounds.
Please have a good quality mic when speaking (It doesn't need to be expensive, but it needs to have clean audio.)
Please have good communication. We don't want to be waiting weeks for someone to respond, so we need individuals who are active and communicating with us.
You will need to sign a contract if you get casted to make sure everything is laid out clearly and precisely on what's expected from us and from our voice cast.
As another note, the singer role is also a voice actor role. If you apply for this, you will need to sing and voice act for this character.
Lastly, have fun! We want to get to know our voice cast and make sure everyone is having a good time working on our project. Please don't hesitate to talk to us if you need anything in our group!

Yasu is a mysterious individual who can be quite cold despite his flirty nature. Sometimes however his soft side can come out around people he’s close with. He holds a passion for music and likes dogs, but he has a special place in his heart for Rain’ dog Waffles.
Meeting you must have been destined. Without you in my life, I would still loathe myself. You make me complete in a way I never dreamed possible. I may never be able to explain fully in words just how much you mean to me. That would take a lifetime, but if you are willing, I would like to try to show you. Can I keep you?
(The call should be spoken softly with passion behind the words.)
I keep Waffles here since she deserves the most lavish conditions. A pretty lady of her stature needs love and care, all of which I can provide. Isn't that right little Waffles? See? She agrees. I haven't seen Rain around, but I am sure he'd approve.
(This line is meant to be very serious and soft when saying isn't that right Waffles?)

(Mid-Range) - Needs to be able to switch tones easily since he's a really moody character.
He is extremely passionate about punk music to the point that he would do anything it takes to succeed in his dreams even if it means leaving his family behind. He has a one track mind making him come across as immature and only thinking about himself. He gets pouty easily due to people not taking him seriously like Yasu. The only ones who genuinly takes him seriously are Luka and Carlos.
To get to the point, I am looking to destroy this band's image. I want to make them pay for what they did to me, and the best way to do that is to learn their secrets and crush them slowly and painfully. I am sure you'd understand since it's genius to get back at the one who wronged me so. I am extremely confident that you will be the perfect one to find out what I can do to finally tear them apart once and for all.
(This line is meant to be quite playful but angry at the ones who wronged him. The last sentence is him being excited for Luka to carry out his plan)
No! We can't take a break right now! We are in the zone right now. We need to practice day and night, so you need to get your shit together. I don’t care if your fingers ache. If they ain’t bleeding, you are fine.
(This line is meant to sound quite passionate and displeased that they want to take a break. He's the type who puts passion over everything, so he'd want them to continue)

(Mid-Range, sweet sounding, very caring)
Carlos has always been very kind and supportive to everyone he meets. He's always there to listen, and he's very caring towards his friends and family. He is Dante's childhood friend who stands by Dante and understands him more then anyone else. Luka used to have a crush on him when she was younger seeing him as a sweet prince.
Luka is that you? Oh my, it’s so nice to see you again after so many years! How have you been? I hope you’ve been taking care of yourself. Your health is important, so I want to make sure you've been eating right.
(This line is meant to be polite and excited seeing Luka again, and he is then sounding concerned about whether they have been eating right.)
Dante, enough! My sincerest apologies for my friend...He gets pretty cranky if he doesn’t get his way. Don't look at me like that Dante...you should know better than to fight before a show.
(This line would have a scolding tone for Dante and would be extremely apologetic and polite towards the ones Dante was in a fight with.)
Now, now Dante. It’s okay to take a break. I promise it won’t ruin our flow. Come on. Take a seat and let me go grab some pudding for you.
(This line is meant to be said in a reassuring manner and convincing to Dante. It should be in a calming tone.)
(Low-Mid Range)
Jasper is slightly older and likes art and Keith likes photography The twins are incredibly suspicious at first glance. They are close and usually never apart, and they are always up to mischief, especially towards Dante. They are also quite secretive and don't share much about themselves with anyone except through teasing retorts. Despite their teasing, they seem to be the most observant and knowing members in Death Serpent.
Heh, of course I do. Wait a minute...ain't that Luka? This got a whole lot more interesting...Can't believe it's Dante's baby sibling in the flesh. Wouldn't it be good to have a little fun with them? This ride's pretty boring Jazz.
(For this line, he would be sly sounding in the first sentence. In the second sentence, he would be contemplative and in the third he would become much more teasing and playful sounding. In the last sentence he'd be sounding more whining and dramatic)
Yeah, that look on their face just makes me want to tease them. Guess, it runs in the family. Alright let's see if we can make them flustered.

I agree that we need a break as well. Take a chill pill man. You go way too hard on this sometimes. No point practicing if our fingers are dying over it.

Ughhhhh, Dante seriously? We've been at this for hours now. We should stop and take a break, my fingers ache. We sound badass already.

(Mid-Range)
Ruki is extremely down to earth and funny when you first meet him. He works part time at the cat cafe because of his passion for cats. Ruki idolizes and loves his cousin Yasu dearly like a brother and wants to help him with whatever he needs. Even though Ruki seems like he has it all together, he carries a deep insecurity that he doesn't show anyone and has a hard time getting closer to others.
I always have so much fun with you, and I think we'd be great together. You are too adorable for your own good sometimes. I want to give this a shot though. Do you want to stay by my side?
(This line is meant at an attempt to be confident, but he is a bit more hesitant and shy.)
These cats need as much love they can get. I want to keep them all. This kitty is quite the cute one, isn't she? Her fur is soft as well. They are all so cute though! I can't resist their charms.
(This line is meant to show him being excited about cats, so he'd be very passionate and loving towards the cats.)
Yasu brought her in today. Not sure where Rain is either. Why is Waffles allowed here, but I can't keep cats in the practice room? It’s not fair you keep Waffles around sometimes, and I can't keep one precious kitty. So cruel man.
(This line is meant to have Ruki a bit whiny about not being able to keep cats in the practice room. He'd be calmer at first then being melodramatic about not being able to keep cats. He'd still be saying it in a playful manner though.)
(High-Mid Range, Soft Spoken)
Rain is Luka's (MC) childhood friend who lost contact with her. He is an extremely quiet and organized individual. He works at the library as a side job, and he is very meticulous when working there. He can be very distant but is very close and especially cares for his high school best friend Aiden. He seems to have changed a lot, but he is still the very quiet and soft spoken boy Luka used to know. However, he seems to carry some secrets, that he will not tell Luka no matter what.
I've loved you for a long time, and I know you might not accept me, but I want to make you happy. You mean the world to me, and I don't want to let you go. I am nervous, but I want to stop running away. Will you go out with me?
(This line is soft spoken and quiet, but showing their love that they don't express often.)
Hmm? What's going on? Sorry I was reading something. Hopefully, you hadn't been waiting on me too long. I apologize if I worried you by not responding.
(This line is meant to have Rain zoned out the first two sentences and then sounding concerned that he was keeping the MC waiting.)
I've been right here the whole time...I was wondering where Waffles was, so I assumed Yasu picked her up again. Glad she's okay I suppose.
(This line is soft spoken and quiet sounding disappointed that he wasn't noticed, and he goes on expressing relief that Waffles is alright.)

(Mid- Range)
Aiden can be very blunt and harsh to most people he meets. He excels at everything he does, and he's always looking for excitement in his life. However, underneath all of his grumpiness, he does have a soft spot for his best friend Rain who he lives with. He also seems to not share much about himself personally.
I've thought about it, and I am going to cut to the chase. You better be listening carefully now. You're always looking away, but I want you to look at me. These feelings are annoying, but I want to be with you and only you. Happy?
(This line is meant to be blunt and direct.)
You're such an eyesore. What do you want? If you need that much help with directions, you're hopeless. Hmph, don't look at me like that...Fine come on, I'll show you the way. I am just helping you because Rain wouldn't want me leaving you alone. Don't get the wrong idea!
(This line is meant to be disgruntled and annoyed sounding. He sounds angry at the last sentence.)
Hey!!! What the hell, isn't that Rain's dog?! Give her back! Yasu, ya tea leaf (Scottish accent)/ you dog snatcher (American accent)! And Rain, don't just sit there and be so lenient with him! I swear, even if Rain's forgiving, I won't be! Don't run away from me!
(This line is meant to sound angry on Rain's behalf that Yasu stole his dog.)
(Mid-Range)
Kai is extremely optimistic and very laid back. He likes to go with the flow and have fun. Being raised as the oldest in a household with four kids, he's very caring towards others and loves to see everyone smiling. However, because he is so positive, he can be seen as easy to manipulate by others. He also can be very naive to reality due to seeing the positive of all situations.
I like you! Heh, that was a bit embarrassing, but you're so cute I couldn't resist. I want us to be together, you in?
(This line is meant to be a direct confession, so it will be quite exciting and bold. )
