Project Overview
THE APHRODILE PROJECT β [VIDEO GAME]
The Aphrodile Project is an independent, retro sci-fi horror game set in Olympusβan underground civilization 657 years in the making. One night, within the claustrophobic walls of its most advanced research facility, something goes catastrophically wrong. The building goes on lockdown, and it's up to the player to navigate the darkness, uncover the truth, and escape before it's too late.
The game blends cosmic horror, dark comedy, and psychological storytelling into a single night of survival, navigation, and the slow uncovering of secrets. This is not a game about jump scares. It is a game about people and what they become over time if they refuse to let go of the past.
We are looking for voice actors who can find the humanity inside the horror. We want characters that are layered, specific, and real, even when they are deeply wrong.

Jane Doe, or "Hera," is a monster who embodies the goddess of marriage; she is quite violent and angry almost all the time. She has been abandoned and mistreated by men for longer than most people have been alive, and she has no intention of allowing it again. She should sound like an older woman's ghost, built out of anger and self-described justice with only occasional moments of remorse.

Selene is a monstrous ghost and a former television host who has been alone in the dark for over 100 years, and has never stopped performing for an audience that isn't there.
She should sound like a television host in both tone and projection, with traces of gravel worn into her throat. She is relentlessly positive in a way that reads as eerie and aggressive rather than warm or kind. She is deeply intimidating to be around and uses that to her advantage at every opportunity.

"Val" is an aloof skater girl through and through; she's the kind of person you'd want to share a beer with. She's a tomboy, unbothered, and by every definition of the word: cool. Nothing seems to faze her. She runs on sarcasm and easy confidence and makes it look effortless.
That said, she has a little too much wisdom for someone her age. Her relaxed tone occasionally tips into cockiness β the subtle arrogance of someone who has been the smartest person in every room for a very long time and knows it. She is a manipulator who is just good enough at it that she doesn't bother hiding it completely.
She should feel like someone you'd trust immediately β and then begin trusting less and less, the more you realize who she is.
