"THE GHOST" - A VAIL/LIV VR Cinematic

Thank you to everyone who auditioned, the abundance of raw talent and energy in your lines was very much appreciated and well noted. It was extremely difficult making a decision to select the roles, but unfortunately, we had a finite amount of roles to fill. We wish we could have picked you all, as I'm convinced there wasn't a bad audition in the group. We at the LIV team do wish you all the best of luck and greatest success in your future endeavors as VO's. We are certain your futures will be bright. Thanks again! Hello everyone and welcome to "The Ghost" - a short film cinematic being created by LIV that will not only be posted online on the official LIV accounts across the internet, but will also be showcased at the IRVL VAIL esports tournament in Miami on October 1st. This cinematic will be viewed by some of the largest, well known, and highly respected names in the VR industry, so we are looking for extremely talented and professional individuals ONLY who are capable of producing high quality, studio-grade voicework. The available parts in the cinematic are mostly small with the exception of The Ghost himself, who has already been cast, so each part won't be more than a single line to a few lines. Even though they are small parts, they NEED to be impactful, which is why we're looking for professionals.
FOR ALL VO ARTISTS AUDITIONING:
Be sure to include your Discord information or the best place for us to reach you.
If you are not selected, we will not follow up with a message.
If you are selected, we will affirm as much, and message you directly.
High quality and professional grade recordings only. Quite frankly, I don't care if you use a Yeti, some thermal blankets and a robust noise-cancelling SDK, if it sounds good and professional quality, that is all we care about.
We want emotion. This is not a bland or boring moment for any of these characters. Everything is emotionally charged for them. Please have it reflect the desperation of their struggles.
NO highly edited auditions. Noise cancellation is fine, but avoid use of specialfx such as voice mods/changers, reverb, etc. We want as raw and unedited pure version of your voice as possible.
There will only be credit given in the description of the videos where it is posted on social media. There will be no official credit given in the cinematic itself. If you need proof of work to an employer or a reference from us later on, we will be more than happy to provide that.
FOR ALL VO's AUDITIONING FOR COLONIST ROLES:
Payment for the role itself, if chosen, is $5 USD. We can PayPal, zelle, or send you an amazon gift card, whatever works best for you.
There will be 3-4 colonists chosen to give us a variety of voices to choose from. If we choose you and you record lines for us, you will receive payment, regardless of whether we use it in the final version of the video or not.
The number of audition lines does not reflect how many lines we will need from you. We may ask for a few lines from one VO, and 10 lines from another. If we ask for far more, we can always adjust payment to reflect it.
We are not picky about voice types or even accents as long as it is in English, is clearly annunciated, and embodies the spirit and emotion of the audition lines. We are looking for variety, so we hope to hear that reflected in the auditions.

This is a solemn moment for the character. She is emotionally charged and she speaks to her husband. She knows and understands the potential repercussions of him fighting a war he does not believe in. She is desperately trying to convince him to defy orders.
"Please don't go. I need you. WE... need you."
"We can just... run away. Together."
"I love you."
"And what about her? Doesn't SHE deserve her father?"
These are flashbacks of a moment prior to "The Ghost" leaving to fight in the war. It is an emotional moment, where his wife is pleading desperately with him to stay with her and their daughter.
These are soldiers placed in a stressful combat situation, dealing with an enemy they fear and cannot see. Though, each should be read with a tone indicative of the emotion in parenthesis, keep in mind, that they are under extreme duress.
(urgently) "We NEED back up!"
(indignant) "Where is he?"
(confused) "Where did he go?"
(panicked) "We're getting slaughtered over here!"
They are in a stressful combat situation. The tones and emotions should suggest, fear, uncertainty, and confusion.
