INTRODUCTION
The End of the Line: New Age is an in-development Mobile Gacha game with a strong focus on Narrative, World Building, and Decision Making. We are currently in the process of refining a vertical slice for playtesting/showcase purposes and need a voice cast to help polish up the experience.
We are looking for talented voice actors who want to help us bring our diverse cast of characters to life.
The Voice Cast is for the vertical slice only, however there may be the opportunity to continue or expand the role in the future.
We will be paying all roles a base rate of $25 USD plus $2 per line. Some characters will have as few as 4 lines while Schrodinger will have over 100 to account for our branching narrative.
This project will be under NDA and you will receive official credit for your participation.
The End of the Line: New Age OVERVIEW
As mentioned above, The End of the Line: New Age is an in-development Mobile Gacha game with a strong focus on Narrative, World Building, and Decision Making. Players take on the role of The Conductor, the leader of a group of post-apocalyptic survivors who leave the safety of their home to travel by train to the legendary End of the Line. Along the way The Conductor acquires a diverse and ever growing cast of characters (known as Railors) leading them in exploration and combat. Along their journey players will be forced to make choices and face the consequences of those choices through our branching, on-going narrative.
The world of TEOTL:NA is full of history, mystery, and danger. Along their journey The Conductor will uncover the secrets of the world, how it ended, and maybe how to save it.

All Leading vs Supporting distinctions are based around their role in the Vertical slice. Many of these roles would classify as "Leading" in the full game.
Once we've selected the cast, we will invite you to our developer discord in order to better communicate and coordinate the recording.

Lone Wolf is a 9 year old girl and an assassin. Trained and later abandoned by bandits, her childhood was brutal, but Kora has shown her love, and Lone Wolf sees her as a mother. Despite her age, she is an apex predator on the battlefield. She is a 6 star (extremely rare) character in our game.
She speaks dryly in short, blunt phrases... intimidating to even the adults, but is more shy than she lets on. Lone Wolf should have a somewhat monotonous cadence to her normal speech, which is generally when she's in "assassin" mode, but can also lighten her voice to sound more natural to a girl of her age when her guard is down.

Schrodinger is a mysterious 4 eyed cat who leads The Conductor on their journey to the End of the Line. Fickle, cynical, and sometimes mean-spirited Schrodinger constantly whispers in the Conductors ear guiding them through their journey. As a mysterious talking cat Schrodinger may know more than he is letting on. Schrodinger is the lead role in both the vertical slice and the game at large.
He is calm and well-spoken. He has a trickster vibe, speaking with a deep confident voice. He should feel like the devil whispering in your ear, someone you feel you can trust, but can you?
We are interesting in exploring either a North American or British(English) accent for Schrodinger.
Schrodinger has ~126 lines currently.

Kora is the leader of a military squadron of elite soldiers and the strongest warrior from her home settlement of Hope's End. Like a mother bear, she is tough, pragmatic, and a survivor, but she can also be kind and motherly when she needs to.
As long as she can stand, she won't let any of her teammates fall in combat.
Calm and stern. She has a strong commanding voice and comes across as cool and collected, even under pressure.
She mainly speaks in a militaristic and pragmatic fashion, however she can speak more emotionally when she needs to.
Kora has about 37 lines currently.

Because that's what being a leader means. Putting others before yourself. Thinking about things rationally instead of making decisions based on silly emotion.
Vitra is a young hermit who has lived on a train in the abandoned factory for most of her life independent of other people. She has a sixth sense but doesn't quite realize it and can sometimes be blunt and straightforward in conversation.
She loves the train more than the people on it as it's her home. She cares for it as if it were a child to her.
Serious and dry. Vitra mostly cares about getting to the point and doesn't really sugarcoat things. She knows how to make a joke, but it's not always clear when she does.
Vitra has 71 lines in the vertical slice.
While Leading in the Vertical Slice, in the real game this is a Supporting role.

Torin is a young scientific prodigy and idealist with hope for humanity. He can be a nerd who gets excited at learning new information or discovering secrets about the world.
Youthful and light, he tries to be hopeful and positive about situations when possible. However in this circumstance one of his experiments has gone awry and this optimistic character has to grapple with the devastation he has caused.
Torin has 6 lines in the vertical slice.
While Supporting in the Vertical Slice, in the real game this is a Leading role.

Melka is a child of the forest, raised by the spirit of nature itself. She's highly attuned to the voice of plants and to a lesser degree forest animals, but sometimes struggles with the social queues and customs of other humans.
She has an enlightened understanding of the cycles of life and treats life with great respect, and she's on a mission to find a cure for the White Rot--an affliction that consumes plants and animals, disrupting that cycle deeply.
Quirky, yet delicate. Melka has unique speech patterns, sometimes skipping in grammar and refering to others as well as herself with special nicknames.
Melka has 6 lines in the vertical slice.
While Supporting in the Vertical Slice, in the real game this is a Leading role.

Belko is a boisterous blacksmith with a loud laugh and a college bro like attitude. He's the heart of the crew, fun and easily excited.
At times he can be loud and obnoxious, but other times can be a reliable and trustworthly uncle-like figure. His attitude is highly infectious thanks to his cheery demeanor.
Gruff and hearty. His voice comes from the heart, and he's often able to sound cheery even in stressful situations.
Belko has 8 lines in the Vertical Slice.
While Supporting in the Vertical Slice, in the real game this is a Leading role.

The Avatar is the leader of the Bugs--an alien warmonger obsessed with satiating herself and her bugs' everlasting hunger. She is the primary antagonist of the Vertical Slice.
Cruel and alien. The avatar has an eternal hunger that she's always looking to satiate with war, battle, and conquest. She is a godlike entity who easily bests her enemies combat.
The Avatar has 19 lines in the Vertical Slice.
While Leading in the Vertical Slice, in the real game this is a Supporting role.

Beyond their role in the game, they are the child of two Hope's End people that left for the end of the line 18 years prior. Now, their journal returns to the Conductor beckoning them to follow in their footsteps.
In the vertical slice, The Conductor recounts "The Legend of the Queen" which introduces the players to our world.

The Conductor's Mother is largely a background character and the source of inspiration behind the protagonist's goal to find the end of the line. She was an adventurous inventor at Hope's End and was always trying to innovate for the town. She was always looking toward the future.
Warm and spunky. She was a fiery woman who always spoke with passion and dedication. Could get easily riled up.
The Conductor's Mother has 16 lines.

The Conductor's Father is largely a background character and the source of inspiration behind the protagonist's goal to find the end of the line. He was Belko's college buddy and the more tame of the two--a scholarly individual in a sense.
Light but smooth. Could definitely be as much of a partier as Belko, but is more subdued and softspoken.
The Conductor's Father has 16 lines.
