Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin (Comic Dub)
Project Overview
What is this?
A fan dub of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin comic series issue #1! This project is going to be taking music, voice acting, sound effects, and the comic panels themselves to create a comic experience unlike any other that we like to call Audio Comics.
For those of you unfamiliar with the premise: It's the TMNT event of 2020! Springing from the minds of TMNT co-creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird comes an epic like you've never seen before! In a future NYC far different than the one we know today, a lone surviving Turtle goes on a seemingly hopeless mission to obtain justice for his fallen family and friends. Kinetic layouts from Eastman, inks from Esau and Isaac Escorza and a thrilling script full of surprises from longtime TMNT scribe Tom Waltz all combine to make this one of the most memorable TMNT stories you will ever read! Oversized in both format and page count.
Requirements:
Since this is a paid project that I am funding out of my own pocket: a significant level of technical and performance quality is going to be expected. Please ensure that your microphone is capable of recording your performance without picking up overwhelming background noises or excessive peaking/clipping. Simultaneously many of these roles are for larger than life characters who tend to emote HEAVILY- as such most roles will probably involve shouting and even a bit of hamming it up/overacting in some capacity at some time or another so if you cannot commit to the needs of a given role please do not audition as I cannot expect to select someone who cannot give the performance a role requires.
Role Significance:
Obviously leading roles are going to be paid the highest amount as they will be appearing most frequently and deserve to be accommodated accordingly, but certain "supporting" and "minor" characters have recurring appearances throughout the series, have an incredibly important impact on the events of the story, or simply have a significantly higher amount of dialogue in the fewer instances where they appear compared to other characters of similar "significance" (example: Leo, Raph, and Donnie show up in all the issues but have a smaller amount of dialogue in issue #1 than they do in issue #2 or issue #3).
Payment:
Payments will be made via PayPal when lines are completed and received. Payment will be at a rate of $0.25 per line.
Have fun and good luck!

Hey everyone, So there has been an incredible amount of interest and auditions in this project and I can't tell you how awesome that is to see! However, it also means that my job casting these roles is much harder as there are so many great voices that have tried out and I only have 5 roles. I've begun to narrow down the auditions and will be making final decisions in a couple days so if you're interested and haven't tried out make sure to get your audition in soon. Thanks and good luck!
I'm looking for a much older and angrier Michelangelo, feel free to do any impression you want but he needs to have a gruff, angry feeling. Almost like he's doing a batman voice.

Michelangelo is the main protagonist of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin, carrying on after his three brothers had died. He seeks to avenge the murders of his brothers, said to be the work of Oroku Hiroto, the grandson of Oroku Saki.
Character has 126 lines, role pays $31.50
(voice over) Oroku Hiroto. So-called master of the foot Clan. Karai's bastard son. The Shredder's grandson.
I know you're watching, Oroku Hiroto... And I know you're scared! I'm coming for you, you coward!
We were all always so different. So much alike. I miss my brothers. So much. And... I miss my father. More than anything else, I wanted to make him proud.
I'm looking for something close to Sam Riegel's 2003 version but I'm also open to an original interpretation.

Donatello is the team inventor and weaponeer. He's utterly brilliant, able to cobble together fantastic stuff from things he's literally scrounged from a trash heap. He's obsessively detail-oriented and often impatient that his brothers can't keep up with him intellectually. But Donnie also happens to be the most reclusive and socially awkward of the Turtles.
He like his brothers died a decade ago and now haunts Michelangelo as hallucinations.
Character has 9 lines in this issue, role pays $2.25
Forget the temperature. The toxicity level’s gotta be off the charts. You’d have to be crazy to swim in that sludge.
Check out those cables. We hack in, we might be able to download a map of this level.
Yeah. Best guess, an old school retinal scanner.
I'm looking for someone that sounds similar to Nolan Norths version from the 2007 TMNT film but I'm also open to hear an original interpretation.

Raphael is a tough-talking, street smart, no-nonsense New Yorker with an attitude. He’s sarcastic and a bit grumpy. Raphael loves wrestling and boxing and is always ready to fight. When he does get angry at times he would stop himself and remain calm, sometimes he would put a fight or lose control.
Raphael, along with his brothers, died a decade earlier now haunting Michelangelo as a hallucination.
Character has 10 lines, role pays $2.50
How, tough guy? Grab a cab? That's a long-ass hump, and a mutant packed head to toe with weapons don’t exactly blend in.
A synthetic ninja? A stinkin’ synja! What kind of sick freak does that to someone?
What? You expectin’ the Ritz or somethin’ Twinkle Toes? And who said you use my favorite blanket?
I'm looking for something close to James Arnold Taylor's version from the 2007 TMNT film but I'm also open to an original interpretation.

Leo is the big brother of the turtle quartet. For the most part, he tries to be the mature and responsible older brother, but there are occasional times where he can be a very typical older brother.
Leo, like his brothers, died decades earlier and now haunts Michelangelo as a hallucination.
Character has 11 lines, role pays $2.75
Hey-- Where you go, we go. You know that.
Shoulda stole a glider instead! Snake Plisskin!
Easy. There's military grade equipment and hardcore foot soldiers everywhere.
This role is completely open to the interpretation of the actor.
Shredder voices for reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-FyS_37oXY
Oroku Hiroto is the grandson of Oroku Saki and described as the "bastard" son of Kairi. By the year the main story has taken place, he has become the de facto ruler of New York City, which he rules with malicious authoritarianism.
Character has 22 lines, role pays $5.50
Am I mistaken, Captain Ikusa, or is there some kind of disturbance currently taking place in the Middle District?
A... A mutant... Turtle! I want all available foot to the tower now!
The foolish beast actually believed he could destroy me and settle some archaic family feud? Me? Feh! The horrid imbecile never had a chance.
