GLOVES is a 4-part animated series entirely produced online by a team of talented volunteer creators.  The film features debuting voice actors and other talented people working together to create a new world filled with intriguing characters. The series is planned to debut in late 2020 to early 2022 on online sites such as Youtube, Vimeo, and, potentially, streaming sites such as Amazon Fire. All interactions are completed over discord. 

People who are interested in the project and want to see where it will go are invited to join the project Discord.


What Is It About?

SYNOPSIS:

GLOVES is about a group of special agents wielding elite super-weapons and protecting their city from danger.

The Story

GLOVES takes place in an alternative present-day where the world is recovering from the "Operium Epidemic".  In this alternative world, a newly discovered element that paved the way for groundbreaking discoveries and the rise of vastly advanced technologies has been banned by an international organization called U.N.I.T.Y, in association with hundreds of world leaders. The ban, composed to eliminate the threats that Operium has brought onto the world, has created even more difficulties than benefits. Operium has allowed mankind to create phenomenal creations and innovations that exceed boundaries of reality which couldn't previously be met, including super weapons. Following the ban, law abiding citizens let go of their Operium-associated technologies while it was also shared and became much more valuable on the black market. Because of this, gangs, secret societies, and those in power were able to acquire Operium illegally.
The majority of the population became defenseless against those who had access to Operium. Because Unity refused to take action, individuals decided to take matters into their own hands. An organization known as the AC Elite, dedicated to protecting others when law enforcement failed, were able to obtain 3 Operium-powered super weapons from an underground weapons cartel. These weapons, in the form of gloves, which gift users superhero abilities, were repurposed to be used in a team of heroes and guardians in an effort to keep the world safe.

  • STORY REVISION

    Hi, everyone! I would like to thank you all for your support for the project! I'm so excited to work with a lot of you and continue to help share this awesome story with the world. Lately, I've been looking over my script and noticing some plot holes with no easy solution to fix. So after a lot of consideration I've decide to rewrite the script. I also have the perfect idea for a revised script in mind. Many things will change but it shouldn't delay production too much. We will probably begin recording and animating in mid to late july. Thank you for your patience and I cant thank you all enough for your support.

Reuben Shilah is half of the Shilah Brothers. Reuben is a gentle giant who is willing to follow and help his brother wherever he goes. Despite his intimidating appearance, Reuben is a very kind person, even in combat. That doesn't mean he'll spare you if you mess with Ryker, though. Reuben has a very deep voice and is very calm.  Reuben can bend water and freeze any body of liquid he wishes.

Ryker Shilah one of the halves of the Shilah Brothers. Ryker finds no more joy than in robbing stores with his brother. Ryker is very energetic and sassy. Ryker enjoys teasing the AC Elites and most of all, mocking Agent Murphy. Ryker can morph through different types of matter.

Reggie is Steven's older brother. Reggie is very calm and collected and does what he has to do in order to get by. He hangs out with a gang of delinquents on his spare time and steals cars and sells them for money. Reggie is a kind sibling who steps out of his way to make sure his little brother gets what he needs.  Reggie has a rough, yet young, voice (a smoker-type voice, if you know what I mean). I envision him to have some sort of a New York accent.

S.O.N.I.A. is an A.I. created by Evan Glee to serve as an assistant. S.O.N.I.A. is very energetic and loves to help in any way she can! Off the job, that is. When it comes to missions, SONIA becomes one badass bot. S.O.N.I.A. has a younger sounding voice that is high pitched.

Raz is the anonymous leader of an underground weapons cartel. Raz is a woman of few words who is determined to get the job done. Most of the time Raz is soft-spoken and calm, but when provoked, can become very angry. Raz is not someone you would want to mess with.

Steven has a very outgoing personality and is willing to do basically anything. Steven is in his early twenties. Steven doesn't have a specific vocal range.

Kyler Elliot has a rivalry with Evan Glee and is determined to prove that his program of elite agents outperforms every other agency in the nation. Kyler is 25 years old and has a younger sounding voice. Kyler is not easily outsmarted. He may be young, be he's definitely not naive.

Finn is a young man who was kidnapped and raised by drug dealers. Growing up around violence and cruelty, Finn decides that enough is enough and attempts to run away from his people to find his true purpose. 

Finn is in his late teens and a higher pitched voice. At times Finn can seem nervous but is really courageous and determined to make things right.
