Project Overview

(There's one more role left I've opened up, and it'll be a first-come-first-serve sort of role! Feel free to check out the update of the project page for more information on more details of the kind of voice I'm looking for, and when I'll cast it! Good luck, and enjoy!)

All you need for this project is a decent-sounding microphone. By desktop or phone, it doesn't matter, as long as there's little to no background noise, no mic popping, and no static when you audition. A Discord Account for contact is recommended, but not required, as I can contact you here on the Casting Call Club website if you'd like, Discord is just more of an easier reach. A long time ago in the thumb universe, the Thumb Wrestling Federation was a place of heroic sportsmanship, fair competition, respect, and honor. The site was once rightfully under the control of a wise old thumb named Newt Knuckle, who ensured everything was kept in line and all thumb wrestlers treated each other with great respect in the ring during every match. That was until a young upstart thumb wrestler named Vincent Arthur Skullberg arrived onto the scene. Skullberg was quite a rude thumb who didn't read the record books and didn't respect the old-timers, which were the great thumbs that made this sport one of the greatest, most glorious, and most heroic ones out there. Skullberg didn't want to work his way through the brackets by fighting in exhibition matches town after town in order to become one of the T.W.F's top rising stars. As a matter of fact, Skullberg wasn't interested in becoming a main eventer and a T.W.F champion on his own... He wanted to take control of the whole company ENTIRELY, which in the way Skullberg sees it, will become another step towards achieving his lifelong goal... WORLD DOMINATION. And when Newt Knuckle found out what Skullberg was planning, it only made things WORSE. An enraged Vincent Arthur Skullberg successfully led a revolt that split the Thumb Wrestling Federation roster into two teams... Those with respect and honor like all the previous thumb wrestlers before Skullberg invaded joined the heroic team of the mighty Dexteras. In contrast, those with less than a thimble full of kind-nature and decency joined the evil team of the slimy Sinestras. In the midst of all the turmoil and chaos, the wise thumb wrestlers of the previous generation before Skullberg caused an uproar, like Newt Knuckle and Phineas D. Finger suddenly disappeared, never to be seen or heard from in the company ever again, while others like Colonel Cossack threw in the towel and stood down from their positions as the great thumb wrestlers they once were. Eventually, Vincent Arthur Skullberg was able to take control of the sneaky Sinestra team, changing his name to Senator Skull and becoming the team's new leader, and even worse... Proposing the team into working together to help take over the world with him! That's when the mighty Dexteras realized that Senator Skull needed to be stopped for good... Once and for all. The battle's on! Will the mighty heroic Dexteras be able to reign supreme over the slimy Sinestras and foil Senator Skull's plans of taking over the world, and make the Thumb Wrestling Federation a much better place again? Or will Senator Skull's evil schemes and dastardly teamwork with his Sinestra teammates be too much for the Dexteras to handle, rendering the world doomed and under Skull's control?

This is a fan-made non-profit Thumb Wrestling Federation audio series made just for your entertainment and mine. The Thumb Wrestling Federation TV show belongs to Larry Schwarz, and I do not own any part of the franchise, nor am I affiliated with the creator of the show in any way, shape or form. Every episode I plan to make for the series are fan-interpretations and are not part of the official show. These episodes will be part of a fan-made audio series inspired by other fan-made audio series of T.W.F that I've watched previously that will be uploaded to my YouTube Channel.

  • One More To Go!

    With the 1st episode script being complete, I am almost finished with the whole casting of the 1st episode! I've still got one role open for anyone who is interested... The crazy, kooky, tough Russian thumb commentator, Colonel Cossack! I'm looking for a voice that sounds gruff and tough, at first sounding like he might mean buisness, but goes off in a goofy, erratic tone with voice cracks, showing his goofy, delusional nature. I'd say it's sort of like a Dr. Eggman sort of voice, but from Russia, and sounds a bit more crazy. This time, since all the other characters are cast and my script's completed, it'll be a first-come, first-served sort of casting now. Feel free to audition in your own time, but this time, when I find an audition that sounds like it matches the voice criteria for Colonel Cossack that I'm looking for, I might cast it a few short hours later!   • 1st Wave of Roles have been Cast!

    Thank you so much to everyone who auditioned and gave it their best with each role! I really appreciate everyone's contribution to this fan series based on my favorite thumb wrestling show! Now, I've cast a few characters, but before I finish the casting for this episode, I've decided to see if there might be a few more auditions for the other characters before I decide who'll be who for them. I'll give the deadline time a day or two to see if there are more auditions, then I'll cast the rest of the characters! I'll start writing the dialogue script for this episode once every role has been cast. I forgot to mention that when you're recording auditions, I'd highly recommend you record through the Audacity program, as the application usually tends to give your recordings a pretty pristine quality. If you'd also like to audition by voice impression, feel free to practice beforehand by reciting the lines from the voice clips to see if you can reach the tone or accent of the character!

    I'd like to also give a little bit of feedback for some of the characters' voices. For Colonel Cossack, the accent is a pretty good part of his voice, but I honestly think the voice cracks are what make him memorable and funny too. He sounds like a tough Russian, but he'll also have bits where he raises his voice to a higher pitch for a slight fraction, making him sound silly too.

    For the voices like Tom Cat, Billy Batboy and Cheeko Rojo, I'd like them to be a high-pitch, either squeaky or a teenage male, but not too into the falsetto range. I'll be saving that voice for Pinky, a character that'll appear later on in the series.

I'm looking for some volunteer writers who are interested in writing the dialogue script for the series.  I'm looking for writers who are completely free and have lots of spare time and don't have too much on their hands. I'll cast multiple writers to share the load. The plan is that we'll discuss each episode's plot and match outcome, and suggest small changes made to the how the match will turn out. Each writer I cast will take turns each in making one dialogue script for an episode, providing both on the lines of the wrestlers, and Dick Thompson and Colonel Cossack's commentary. I'll be giving you an invitation to a server where we can all work together as a team once I've cast you, and I'll be giving you the matches I've made in order of how much I've planned out for each one of them. I might request some writers to choose how the matches will go. Feel free to add in some of your own custom-fan-made playoff matches to the list if you'd like!  I'm looking for talented volunteer writers who are huge fans of the series, or ones that are interested in learning more about the series and its characters. To audition, please send me any transcript you've made. It can be related to the series, or something you've made that's completely different. Any script you send will work just fine! 

Here's the plot of this match I've thought of. Please feel free to suggest any changes to it!

Round 1: The two fighters waste no time in trading punches. After a few trash-talking, Senator Skull sends Tom Cat down to the mat with a Diabolical D.D.T. combination. Tom Cat rebounds and pounces Skull into a headlock. Skull calls for help, and Cheeko Rojo slides a bag of catnip into the ring. Tom Cat loses his focus on his opponent and ecstatically runs straight towards the catnip. But then, suddenly, after sniffing, Tom Cat started to begin rapidly sneezing! Senator Skull reveals that the bag’s label was “accidentally swapped” and it was actually full of sneezing powder all along! Senator Skull goes to town on a defenseless Tom Cat before finally pinning him to win Round 1.

Round 2: Senator Skull calls for his minions again, and this time, Cheeko turns on a red stage-light, acting as a giant laser pointer! Tom Cat decides to go after it, completely mesmerized by the dot. Senator Skull was doing everything he could to utilize Tom Cat’s curiosity and weakness to his advantage! With Tom completely focused on trying to pounce on the dot instead of fighting, all was seemingly going to plan for the Sinestras… Up until Billy Batboy decided to come along and ruin it all… Batboy wanted to have a turn operating the stage light! After Cheeko and Billy fight over who gets control, they end up shining the stage light on their leader by accident! As Senator Skull rants and raves towards his henchmen after being blinded, Tom Cat takes advantage and used his super-sharp fingernail claws to pounce on and scratch Senator Skull before pinning him to win Round 2.

Round 3: Senator Skull calls Tom Cat a fool, and says that all he’s doing is delaying his inevitable downfall. He declares that the T.W.F. will all be his, and that Tom Cat and the rest of the Dexteras will soon become history. Tom Cat refuses to stand down or become intimidated by Skull, and as a response, he tries to scratch him again with his long fingernail claws! Skull appears to be backing away in retreat, dodging every swipe of Tom Cat’s nails along the way, but this was all a tactic used to lull Tom Cat into a false sense of security. After being backed into a corner, Senator Skull suddenly grabs one of Tom Cat’s fingers, and Tom was left squirming under the mercy of Skull’s strong grip on him! Skull then reveals a secret weapon he brought along, designed just for Tom Cat… Nail clippers! Clip, clip, clip! Pretty soon, Tom Cat’s fingers go from having freakishly LONG, sharp fingernails to… Having absolutely none at all! With Tom Cat paralyzed in despair and shame over the loss of his hard-earned, sharp fingernails, Senator Skull takes his chance to lay in some tough, hard hits on Tom Cat, before setting up for his deadly signature move, the Skull’s Revenge Shocker! “I’ve got you now, furball!” The Skull! BAM! The Shock! ZZZZZTTTT!!! THE REVENGE!!! Bada-bing, bada-boom, it’s all over! Chalk up another win for the leader of the Evil Sinestras!

The more sensible half of the commentator duo, Dick Thompson is a friendly, cool, calm, and serious man who really takes his commentating job seriously. And while he has to put up with Colonel Cossack's crazy antics and delusions every so often, he still enjoys the job he does, watching matches from the best seats in the house while reporting what exciting things happen next in suspense and anticipation, all while being backed up by his more silly commentator buddy with his comedic relief and silly quips!

Colonel Cossack is the silly, loopy half of the T.W.F Commentary pair who hails from the thumb-civilized streets of Russia. Colonel loves nothing more than the wrestlers beating the stuffing out of each other. The more crushing there is, the better for this mad, energetic, and loony thumb commentator! He often tends to talk about things off-topic rather than report what's happening in the match, that's all for his more serious commentating buddy Dick Thompson! Colonel also loves to explore, tell crazy stories about himself, and think of the world as a peaceful, doom-free place as long as those Dextera wrestlers keep all those slimy Sinestras in line! Whenever Cossack's angry, which happens often when there's a lack of wrestlers landing hits on each other, or when those evil Sinestra fighters cheat to gain the upper hand, he often decides to release some anger by landing some blows on poor Dick Thompson, and sometimes, he does it just for fun because, as I said before, Colonel sure does love a good crushing!

Senator Skull is the evil mastermind behind the sneaky, villainous Sinesta team. This evil skeleton genius, whose real name is Vincent Arthur Skullberg, used to be a big target for bullies in the school he enrolled in. Having his anger bottled up for too long, Vincent decided that it was time to get revenge on his tormentors once and for all. Traning both his mind and body hard, Vincent took down the bullies who antagonized him with the greatest of ease. Unfortunately, his great triumph over his ruffians, and all of his fury still boiling up in his body all went right to Vincent's head, and the only thing that was on his mind now was being the evilest overload of the entirety of Planet Earth. And as a result, Vincent now went by the name of Senator Skull, and crashed the roster of T.W.F, plotting out his first steps towards world domination and causing the roster to be split into two teams. Skull's evil Sinesta team who's willing to fight for their leader and assist his journey into world domination, and the mighty heroic Dextera team, a rival team willing to save Planet Earth and do whatever they can to stop Senator Skull from becoming the evil ruler of the world.

Poor Billy Batboy grew up a pretty confused thumb. Billy loves bats more than anything in the world, and it must've been too much exposure to the nightlife that got to his head, because, no joke, Billy ended up believing that he was actually a bat himself! He's learned to bond with some of the bats he visits, one whose name is Leatherwing, which Billy takes to the ring in order to surprise his opponents, but sometimes, Leatherwing ends up surprising Billy and unintentionally takes him down instead! Worse yet, Billy Batboy joined the evil Sinestra wrestling team without any real idea of how to properly fight or any training under his belt, so he relies on intimidation against his Dextera opponents, but no matter how hard he tries, his opponents never seemed to really take him seriously! In fact, Billy's plans usually backfire on him, making him appear more of a joke than he wants to be! These main factors are the reasons why Senator Skull prefers Billy Batboy to be on the sidelines, assisting the evil Sinestra leader in his matches, but due to Billy's high curiosity and confusion, sometimes, even that can be a little bit of a struggle!

Cheeko Rojo is not officially a T.W.F wrestler, but if you see a thumb with a white mask and cheeky clown face paint, you know that what you see's not a good sign if you're a Dextera. This mischievous Sinestra crony is always willing to lend out help and assist the Sinestras in their devious doings and sneaky tactics, tipping the matches in the sneaky team's favor! Cheeko is seen mostly helping out his boss, the always evil Senator Skull, and often appears with other henchmen Senator Skull hired to help everything go according to his dastardly plans to take over the world!

The referee's the one who conducts every match ever booked here in the T.W.F. All he has to do to get the show on the road is say "Lock 'em up!", and the battles shall commence!

(For the Referee's voice, I'm looking for a couple of male medium-pitched action-packed-sounding voices. Something that probably gives off Millis Lane vibes. Or you can do an impersonation of the referees from the actual T.W.F series. I will cast multiple male voice actors for this role, and each one I cast for will have at least one episode each to voice act as a ref.)
