Hi, my name is Thomas, and this is my biggest project I’ve started so far. This is just a fun, one-off scene/skit thing that I made up from my own head. Any similarities to anything else already created is coincidental. My references for this project are Diablo 3, DnD, and other various Fantasy Roleplay stories. All of this is coming out of my own pocket, and I’d like to find people who can help me bring this fun little project to life! There is no NSFW content in this project right now or planned. It's more like the opening scene of a Diablo video game.
WORLD/SCENE:
Four of the five nations that make up the continent of KYRAH (LION, BEAR, SNAKE, and EAGLE) have been at war with each other for the past 7 years. They accuse each other of smuggling, arms racing, spying, and other such things that could be seen as dishonest and against their nation's customs. The GOAT nation is the only one that shares a border with all nations, and has always proclaimed themselves as a true neutral nation. As the nation war progressed throughout the years, there have been reports of the nations trying to use the GOAT trade routes and border to gain advantage over their enemies. This has caused strife and strain on the GOAT Nation, its people, and economy. Today, the GOAT ambassador has gathered all of the nation's heads to the NATIONAL DIAMOND HALL. A massive and beautifully designed building located on a sliver of land that joins all national borders together. It was created and used for all neighboring nations to gather and discuss important matters that involved international well-being.
The GOAT ambassador, Tien Gazah, is here to convince the nation’s leaders to stop their campaigns and war. Since they are still blinded by their greed, misunderstandings, distrust, and miscommunications, the GOAT nation is forced to join/end the war by force.

I’ll give you the part if I think you fit the role no matter your gender/ethnicity/age. Also, don’t feel obligated to strictly follow the script. I want to hear you make this character’s line your own. SHOW me the scene! SHOW me you are the character!

CHARACTER CHANGES and REOPEN AUDITIONS
Thank you all so much for showing interest in my little DnD teaser animation project! After listening to over 500 auditions (here and email) I've narrowed down a shortlist for Bear (Povla), Lion (Raymond), and Goat (Tien). I will be deciding and casting those 3 roles between now and May 6th! I've decided to change the Snake (Seri) role to be strictly female, and have more of a villainous air and speech pattern about her. Similar to Scar from the Lion King. I'll update the audition role on this call page to reflect these changes. I've also decided to change the Eagle (Davin) role to be strictly female. Voice age range could be anywhere between 10 and 20. I'd like to try hearing the character as fun and curious. Similar to Filo from Rising of the Shield Hero. She is a proper "princess" when she's not stuffing her face at the desert table. These changes will be updated in the character roles below. Appearance: Half-human half-goat humanoids similar to Satyrs or Minotaur. They have goat-like heads, complete with horns and rectangular pupils. Their entire body is covered in coarse gray fur. They have humanoid torsos and arms, but their legs are bent backwards and end in cloven hooves. Also has a short stubby tail. 6 feet tall. 180 pounds.
Personality: Enjoys peace and solitude, and the prosperity for their people. Neutral alignment. Will do everything they can to avoid meaningless bloodshed.
Mysterious, powerful, mindful, maybe magical, kind.
Wants: For everyone to stop fighting and communicate more effectively. To protect their nation and people. To help their neighbors. To live a life of happiness, joy, peace, and prosperity.

Appearance: Lionkin-humanoid. Also known as the King of Beasts, Lord Firemane or the Lion King. Has the bipedal form of a male lion-humanoid of 10 feet tall, 800 pounds, with a coat that gleamed with the radiance of the sun. His title of "Lord Firemane" came from his ability to ignite his thick, luxurious mane in a nimbus of amber and golden fire. He could sprout the wings of a gigantic eagle at will. Radiates a powerful, yet gentle presence. Possesses a majesty and charisma that is overwhelming at times, yet even the smallest of animals that approach him in good faith feel comfortable around him.
Personality: Lord Firemane led his faithful along a noble path without force or coercion. He genuinely wanted his pride and people to willingly choose benevolent and good actions over the alternatives by their own accord. He is a being of virtue, who would never take the rear in command or ask another to take an action that he himself would not, including the sacrifice of their own life.
Wants: Justice for terrible things their neighboring nations have done to them. For the war and fighting to stop. To protect their people and nation from attacks. Peace.

Personality: Known for his competitive nature in combat and tireless ethic for training and tactics. He truly enjoyed everyday pleasures such as coupling, eating, drinking, hunting, or the camaraderie of another warrior. Stubborn, intimidating, impatient, prideful, hard-headed, loves to fight, big, burly, large as life.
Wants: To keep running their underground mischievous operations with the Snake nation. Keep the Eagle and Lion nations fooled. To fight and keep up the war as a smokescreen. Cause trouble for other nations, but pin it on another nation to keep them at each other's throats.

Personality: Highly intelligent and charismatic. A psychopathic individual who is mainly concerned with gaining power and will kill anyone they see as competition. Despite their ruthless nature, they are a somewhat cowardly individual, more likely to run away from violence than confront it.
Wants: To keep running their underground mischievous operations with the Bear nation. Keep the Eagle and Lion nations fooled. To fight and keep up the war as a smokescreen. Cause trouble for other nations, but pin it on another nation to keep them at each other's throats. To take advantage of Bear and their resources so that they may take over Bear nation.

Appearance: Similar to an Aarakocra. Eaglekin-humanoid. From below, aarakocra look much like large birds. Only when they descend to roost on a branch or walk across the ground does their humanoid appearance reveal itself. Standing upright, aarakocra might reach 5 feet tall, and they have long, narrow legs that taper to sharp talons. Brown and gray feathers cover their body, complete with a humanoid head. They have thin, lightweight bodies that weigh between 80 and 100 pounds.
Personality: Proper princess when she's not stuffing her face with sweets. They will fight to protect their people. Fun, curious, royalty, princess, childlike curiosity, knows when to be serious.
Wants: The fighting to stop, but they feel too much injustice has been wrought to let slide. To protect their people and nation. Peace and fun.

Animator
2D Animator

You will be part of a 3-4 person animation team working directly with me.
General Role & Responsibilities
A 2D Animator works through a three-stage process (pre-production, production and post-production) to create a sequence.
During the pre-production stage they write the story, design characters, create a storyboard, choose a design style, and prepare the backgrounds on which the action will occur. The voice-overs are then recorded by actors based on the dialogue in the script.
In the production stage, the animators pull together all the elements to start animating the scenes. This includes initially animating rough sketches and then refining them to line drawings; layering the scenes against the backgrounds; matching the character visuals to the recorded dialogue; and compositing to final render.
At the post-production stage Animators will do a final visual clean up, assist with mixing sound effects and music, integrating visual effects, and render all the elements together to create the finished work.
- Liaising with writers, directors, clients regarding the style, method and execution of the animation to be produced
- Developing storyboards based on the script
- Preparing presentations of rough sketches for clients
- Creating models, drawings and illustrations
- Designing frames and characters
- Choosing color palettes, style and general look of animation

- Setting up exposure sheets, divided into actions and timing, dialogues and music, animation layers, backgrounds, view perspective

- Integrating images, characters, etc into background graphics
- Syncing visuals with audio and voiceover tracks
- Preparing all animation elements for compositing, including delivering in set formats
