Who are we? - Smile Grenade TV is a startup independent animation studio committed to ‘blowing boring out of the water' by focusing on producing distinct original animated content for YouTube and other digital platforms.
About the project - Hardset Ninjas is an action-comedy animated series following three friends, Thunder, Sonia, and Red, who all share one dream...to become awesome Ninjas. While fighting crime in the city, going to school, and juggling friendships, the Ninjas figure out the challenges that come with growing up.
This casting call is for Thunder, the main character of Hardset Ninjas. If you think you’re the right fit for Thunder, we’d love to hear your audition!
What to Expect
Episodes are released roughly every 2 months.
Recording sessions are short (usually under 1 hour.)
Communication will be through Discord and Email
Payment for this main role starts at $40-60 per episode, with rates increasing as the project gains support.
Compensation starts at $40, with potential to increase up to $60 if reshoots are needed, to ensure fair pay for additional time and effort.
This is a long-term, ongoing series commitment.
Episodes span between 5-10 minutes (subject to change.)
As stated, Smile Grenade TV is a small, independent startup, so things might change a bit as we get going in the first year. That said, we’re dedicated to making great content and making sure our actors are respected and valued the whole time.
Important notes
We’re seeking dedicated, long-term voice actors to join the cast of our ongoing animated series. This is a series-spanning commitment. We’re looking for actors who will be available for each episode over the life of the show, which may run for several years.
Only submit if you have a microphone with clear audio quality (USB or XLR mics are okay. (No phone or laptop built-in mics, please.)
Since Hardset Ninjas is an indie series, we’re starting small, but we’re committed to growing. As the project builds an audience and funding increases, voice actor rates will also increase. We’d love for you to grow with us.
