I’m looking to start making animated shorts (< 1 min right now) with my characters and I need to find voices for two of them, Bucket and Carmine (Pronounced kaa-mine).
The series takes place in Britain and is about 3 characters and the antics they get up to in their day to day lives. They live in a rundown tower block where the weirdest and worst people seem to gather and bizarre things happening is a common occurrence.
I don't really have an idea of what their voices sound like if I'm honest. The only things I do know about them is that, as it takes place in Britain, an English/British accent is preferred and that they aren't prim and proper so something like RP English probably isn't a good fit, especially not for Bucket, but again who knows? Ultimately, I'll leave it up to your interpretation.
While this is just for animated shorts right now it could lead onto bigger projects down the line.

Carmine gets bored very quickly and is constantly trying to amuse herself, often at the expense of others. She finds it fun pushing people’s buttons and getting on their nerves, whether that be through annoying acts, teasing or playing pranks. A gadfly. She’s also a bit of a slob.
Traits: Playful, carefree, sarcastic, mischievous, impulsive, boorish.
(Low energy) "Ugh~ So bored.. Can we PLEASE do something already?"
[In disbelief. She'd said something outlandish and clearly untrue earlier but someone took it seriously.]
(Holding back laughter) “Wait, you actually believed that?"
(Laughs)
(Mockingly) "How adorable.”
[Being accused of something she most definitely did but doesn't want to take the flak for]
(Plays it up and tries to act cute) "(Gasp) You don't think little ol' me had anything to do with it, do you?"
(Pause)
(Deadpan) "...Fine, you got me."
Bucket is usually in a perpetual state of grumpiness and is quick to lose her temper. She's not overly talkative and mainly communicates in disgruntled noises or short, to the point sentences. Though when angered or excited she gets very rowdy, almost over the top. Tomboy through and through. Angy.
Traits: Irritable, gullible/naïve, foolish, arrogant, childish.
[Carmine is bugging her.]
(Annoyed) "Stop doing that."
(Pause)
"Stop."
(Pause)
(Angry, raised voice) "ARGH! You're SO annoying."
[Someone comes to her asking to borrow money.]
(Annoyed, snappy) "(Groans) What do you want now?"
(Pause)
"What? No! You haven't paid me back for last time!"
[Sort of free space I guess. Try 3-4 disgruntled noises i.e. grunts, growls and grumbles. Get angy]
