Description
Bardic: Quest for Love is a top-down Adventure / Dating Sim Game. You play as the Bard (Edmond/Edna), inheritor of a low end tavern. While exploring the city of Deepharbor and running their establishment, they come across companions that join the group, whom they can grow closer towards and pursue romance with, which is the Dating Sim aspect. At the end, you are able to invite your significant other to the Ball, where you’ll perform a song together. A very fitting ending to a very wholesome game.

Gameplay
The core gameplay of Bardic: Quest for Love is that of an Adventure / Dating Sim. You start off the game as Edmond/Edna, a bard with a struggling Tavern. The main story is that you’re invited to perform at the ball, and you need a partner to sing with you.
The game takes place over the course of one month. Week 1 is where you meet the whole cast. Then, at the end of Week 1, you can pursue one of the twelve heroes and ask them on a first date. Afterwards, you go down the unique route of your Quest for Love with that hero, which is for the remaining three weeks.
The narrative goal of your character is that you’re a bard, and you’re looking for both Inspiration for your ballad performance this Midsummer Ball, and also a partner to sing with you.
At the very end of the month, you have a Bardic Recital, where you and your significant other perform a ballad at the Castle during the Midsummer Ball. Cue credits.
Tavern Sim Minigame (Demo)
The game is set in your Tavern in the City of Deepharbor. There is a cast of twelve companions, and periodically these companions will arrive at your tavern. There, you get to interact and talk to them. One core aspect of the gameplay is enjoying their quirky dialogue, which is an enjoyable experience in and of itself. But there’s also the Tavern Sim aspect where you can recruit these companions to work at your tavern to earn you money.
To recruit a companion, they will occasionally ask the Player a question. If the Player gives a favorable answer, that’s 1 Relationship Point. If they get 3, the Companion will Join the Tavern. The Tavern Sim is generally simple, with the money generation automatic for the most part. The main gameplay being the management of the Companions to man which station at the Tavern, restocking the stations, and upgrading them. The gameplay is meant to be fairly simple and innocuous.
