"Aptitude Lo" is an animated series in production in the action genre, though it does hold multiple comedic elements (Action/Comedy). The project was created not only to gain experience in both animation, storyboarding, and directing that will help me in future portfolios, college applications, and careers, but it was also created to help raise money to get one of my friends into a therapy she can't afford. I'm hoping that by the time this project is complete my friend will be getting the help she needs and that the voice actors who help with this project get experience and recognition for future dreams of theirs as well. I will also be opening a Patreon to help raise more money for production and VA payment.
Aptitude Lo is still in production, and I'm hoping it will be finalized and released either by this summer of 2020 or the end of 2020.

PLOT:
Long ago, beings known as Aptitudes roamed the Earth along with humans. They each had their own specific element to control, whether it be fire, night, or even human-like elements such as love or dreams. They controlled the nature of these elements and taught the humans how to grow and live. However, four main rivalries of Aptitudes - fire and ice, dreams and nightmares, love and fear, and day and night - grew close tensions and disputes and began fighting, leaving the humans in fear. The people requested that the Aptitudes stop fighting in fear of being hurt. To keep the people they helped protect away from their harm, all the Aptitudes decided to hide away in their own realms and continue their arguments from there. As they retreated, though, they left behind rings that, when a person wore it, would grant them abilities based on their element and allow them to fight in the Aptitude's place to settle their dispute.
In present-day time, we follow the main character, Mercury Lo, who is a hyperactive secret agent that's terrible at his job. He is tasked with preventing a gang of assassins/thieves from stealing a ring from a museum - little does he know that he's about to be tasked with a greater job - helping free the Aptitudes of their disputes and bringing them back to the Earth they once roamed.

PAYMENT:
The prices listed are the only payments I will be giving. Because this is to fund raise for someone in need, I felt it necessary to pay the cast. However, funding is not guaranteed to happen, and if it isn’t, payment comes out of my own money. This means that I can only pay a certain amount in total.
That being said, the prices listed are flat payments and are paid to the voice actor for the whole series. This means that it is NOT $x per episode. Rather, it is $x per role.

GENERAL RULES:
- - These will be paid voice acting roles. I only pay through PayPal, so if you do not use that platform, I won't be able to accept your part. Payment will also only begin after all lines are in, which won’t be immediately and may be some time even after they’re in.
- - Please have a good microphone! The quality of the series depends on the quality of the sounds.
- - I strongly insist that you have a Twitter or Discord account I can contact you with. I plan to put the VAs in a group chat for easy access and sharing information.
- - In the description of your audition, PLEASE include your Discord. If you are cast a part, I will send you the invite link and request for your email. We will be contacting as a group through Discord, but I will be sending scripts and animatics out through email. I will also do a lot of promotion and trailers on Twitter, so if you have a Twitter or YouTube, I’ll request that it you’re cast a part so that I may be able to recognize you in tweets (or in the case that files are too large to send, I may be able to send it that way).
- - The most mature thing in this is either Vida's personality (she's a bit too flirtatious) or Greyson's backstory involving death, and a single censored out word. Nevertheless, the project is suited for audiences around middle school or older to view.
- - If casted a role, bear with me. It may take a while for this whole project to be complete or things to go in, as I don’t have every second in the world to work on this.
- - Voice Actors do not have to be paid if they don’t want to be. You are more than welcome to still audition if you don’t want to receive payment.
IF CASTED A ROLE:
- I expect you to keep up with your lines and deadlines! I will send scripts (and maybe animatics) to you, and you are expected to read through them and send the lines either in one recording or in separate recordings.
- I may have ideas for in-character podcasts, QnAs, or just fun videos in general with the voice actors. These might not happen, but if they do, you are not required to attend group calls for them if you prefer not to, but it is an option.
OPEN ROLES:
Not only am I looking for voice actors, but I am also looking for someone to put together background music and a general soundtrack. I may hire more than one music composer as well. This will be a paid role, as there will be a total of ten episodes in the series and quite a bit of music to make.
PROGRAMS:
For animation, I have a few options for programs. I HOPE to use Krita on my computer, but I've been having terrible viruses and issues on it, so I can't use it at the moment. I'm saving up to get a new PC so I can animate using it again. However, if I am not able to get one by the time all lines are in, I'll have to resort to good ol' FlipaClip. For the animatics I will be using FlipaClip as well, but I hope to be using the better program for finalizing this series.
