About Demon's Souls
Demon's Souls is an action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware for the PlayStation 3. It was published in Japan by Sony Computer Entertainment in February 2009, in North America by Atlus USA in October 2009, and in Australia and Europe by Namco Bandai Games in June 2010. It was the first installment in the Souls series of games created by game director Hidetaka Miyazaki and was produced under supervision by Sony's Japan Studio.
Conditions:
$150 is paid for the cast audition. No additional lines beyond the audition will be required or needed. The audition has all the lines in the script. 113 words for $150.
Payment:
Paid by Paypal one day after the deadline. Please have a Paypal account ready.
REQUIREMENTS:
Ideally an XLR microphone. The mic quality doesn't have to necessarily be at a TLM 103/Sennheiser MKH 416 but I'm looking for something that all voice actors would consider acceptable ie AT 2020 XLR, AT 2035, AT 4040, CAD E100s, Rode NT1, etc. Ideally audio with no reverb, plosives, tinniness, peaking, etc. If you don't have a great microphone, please don't be discouraged and please still audition as I still favor great acting.

Please note that Casting Call Club tends to close out projects one day prior to the deadline. The true deadline stands at January 31, 2019 at 11:59 PM (Pacific time). Payment is sent out immediately on February 1, 2019. Please have a Paypal account ready.

It was a really tough decision but in the end, there can be only one. Or two? I decided to cast both LaWebley and Mugen! Both have received the prize of $150. And payment has been completed. Congratulations guys! -
Winners - Mugen and Lawebley
Hi there. It was a really tough decision between Lawebley and Mugen so I decided to go with both actors. Both will be paid $150. I preferred the voice and accent of Lawebley as it matched the original in nearly every way but I preferred the acting of Mugen, especially in his rendition of Maximus. I'll be sending both of you a PM. -

Author's note: Although Garl Vinland dons a helmet, I'd like the recording to be done with no effects whatsoever.
Please note that for this character, I'm not looking for an impersonation. If you feel you can't match the voice exactly, that's fine but would ideally like the parameters listed above.
Character bio:
Garl Vinland is the loyal companion and bodyguard of Maiden Astrea. He is also the brother to Selen Vinland and a member of the Vinland family. Astrea departed into the Valley of Defilement to tend to the suffering and Garl followed, serving as her devoted protector. The two have resided there since, with Garl defending Astrea from any unwanted invaders. Garl, alongside Astrea are soon slain by a warrior collecting the souls of demons. In the videogame, Demon's Souls, Garl does not attack unless provoked or if you threaten Astrea.

Astraea:

When you move within his range:

“May you rot in the deepest depths of this swamp.”
After you deplete some of his health:
“How dare you persist in intruding upon our haven.”
“You abandoned us long ago. What right do you have?”
“We live humble lives. Leave us be!”
When you kill him:
“Dearest Astraea…I have failed you.”
