A Sonic Christmas Carol (Comic Dub) - CASTING CALL, UNPAID
Project Overview
About this project:
For this year, for the season I'm planning on creating a dubbed version of the Archie Sonic Christmas comic, "A Sonic Christmas Carol"! The original plan was to host this casting call back in early November or late October, but unfortunately some busy events have got in the way, preventing the process. But now that I got the casting call up and going (and it's been a long while since I have hosted a casting call), roles are now open for auditioning for this comic dub!
The only roles not shown here on this casting call are Dr. Robotnik (Scrooge) and Antoine because I will provide both their voices for this project. (Antoine also wasn't given any dialogue in this comic)
The deadline for this project will be on December 4, 2023, 11:59pm CST
This project is an unpaid comic dub.
Synopsis:This takes place in a Sonic driven adaptation of "A Christmas Carol", originally by Charles Dickens. Dr. Robotnik plays Scrooge, Rotor plays Cratchit, Sonic plays multiple roles. The reason of this adaptation being quick, because it's Sonic themed, and well, he prefers it fast! Very fast, you won't even need a full novel of this story! Also because of Robotnik having an even blacker heart than Scrooge in the original story, he goes through many more misfortunes! Even one at the end!
Requirements:- A good mic quality (USB or XLR is acceptable)
- Submitting voice recordings on time
- 1-2 takes should be enough (ABCABC would be preferred, but won't be too strict on the pattern you send it in)

The hero of mobius, the blue blur, the legend, Sonic the Hedgehog! A hedgehog all set for an adventure, stopping the evils of Dr. Robotnik!
The voice I'm looking for on this classic Archie version of Sonic is a voice like Jaleel White's Sonic! Giving off the early 90s cool cartoon main character vibes, a chill dude with some energetic nature!
(NOTE: Most of the audition lines are not the exact lines said in the comic)

(as the Ghost of Christmas Past, (WAY Past Cool)) "Ha! Hey there, RoBUTTnik! I'm the spirit of Christmas Fast-- I-I mean past. Your past!"
"The Christmas Tree is almost done, Uncle Chuck! Just need a star that's bright enough for this tree!"
(as the Ghost of Christmas Future, dramatic and denouncing) "I am the ghost of CHRISTMAS future. You've spent your whole life DESTROYING the planet and trying to complete your master plan!"
The heartless doctor's little helper. Snively also happens to be the nephew of Dr. Robotnik. However, the evil doctor's cruel antics treat his nephew like he's his pathetic lab puppet. But in this comic, he is not Dr. Robotnik's flunky in this! Snively plays the role of the ghost on TV, "Jacob Snarley"! The ghost that controls the doctor's TV!
The voice I'm looking for him is something like Charlie Adler's performance. A vile snooty almost nasally high pitched voice, with a evil Brit accent and a hint of a timid personality, in contrast to his uncle's deep intimidating booming voice. Constantly intimidated by his uncle often unleashing anger on him like he's a useless servant. Shows relentless hatred for Sonic the Hedgehog, but also hatred inside him for his uncle as well.

(devious, mildly frustrated) "Hmph, seems the sensors are picking up some life force. Must be the cause of that miserable hedgehog..."
(outraged) "It's NOT broken! I'm a TV ghost! The ghost of your old partner in crime, Jacob Snarley!"
(depressed) "Now I'm a TV ghost, DOOMED to spend eternity going from TV set to TV set! When I think of the INFOMERCIALS I've been forced to watch!"
Rotor is a walrus that is part of the Knothole Freedom Fighters. He's serves as the mechanic. A very chill cool dude, and a bit clumsy as well.
In this comic, Rotor takes the role of Cratchit.
For voice direction, he has a youthful voice with a chill, easygoing personality. But it shown nervous and frightened in the first part of the comic, almost similar to how Snively is to Dr. Robotnik, but lacking cowardice.

(worrisome) "No, Mr. Scrooge! I only said you should spend some money on repairing the ROOF! The snow is getting a bit deep, y'know sir!"
(nervous) "Since you're in a better mood than usual, sir. I'd like to ask you for the day off tomorrow! I want to spend Christmas with my family!"
Charles is Sonic the Hedgehog's uncle. Knighted to the King of Mobotropolis. In this story, it seems this is before he got Robotosized under Dr. Robotnik's control.
Looking for a voice similar to his voice on Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM). Deep, gravelly and elderly sounding, with some kindness to his personality.
Uncle Chuck only has a few lines in this comic.

Tails is Sonic's best buddy. A young twin tailed fox, that lost his parents when he was small. He grown a friendly bond with Sonic the Hedgehog, and has become like a younger brother to the blue hedgehog! In this story, Tails appears starting on the Christmas Present and has very little dialogue.
I don't have a specific voice in mind for him, but I would recommend using these voices as references for Tails.

(greeting) My name's Miles Prower, but my friends call me Tails.
The princess of Mobotropolis, and daughter of the ruler of Mobotropolis, King Acorn. After the attack of the Robotnik's army, she has left Mobotropolis for safety, and grew up in Knothole Village, where she met Sonic and friends. As they became Knothole's Freedom Fighters. Just like Tails, she only has a bit of dialogue and appears starting at the Christmas present sequence.

Bunnie is a rabbit that has been robotocized after the attack of the Robotnik army, and ended up as half robot, half rabbit. Bunnie is another one of the Freedom Fighters of Knothole.
Bunnie speaks in a Southern-belle accent and has a mostly calm personality with a bit of snark in there after suffering from the robotocization. She only appears in a few scenes, has only one spoken line of dialogue with just herself speaking full dialogue. Also she doesn't need to sound exactly like Christine Cavanagh's performance, but if you can, that would be bonus points! But that all matters on my final decision when the deadline is reached.

(shocked) "Oh my stars, what exactly are we gonna do now?"
The delivery man that sends Future Scrooge-Botnik an explosive turkey device.
No particular voice in mind, just a voice that suits an every day delivery guy. Almost monotone, but trying to do his job.
NOTE: This is his only line, the take in the audition may get used for the final video.
