I am a Voice Actor
Hello, Fellow Jigglypuff Lovers and Future ones alike! I am JigglyJai, an Autistic beginner voice actor who loves Pokemon, (Especially Jigglypuff, that sweet Normal/Fairy Type Balloon Pokemon of course.) but I feel like I learn more every time I audition or record some lines, so I could have a bright future ahead!  I'm also an Australian citizen, but actually have a bit of an American voice, too! I guess it's from all those American shows and movies! I choose to only audition for stuff that is not 18+ material, but that doesn't mean I won't drop in a swearie from time to time, I will allow you to get me to drop a few bombs, depending on the context. A mimic since a young age with some brief experience acting on stage. Between the mid 1990s and 2000s Simon lived in London spending countless hours recording, often through the night, to tape, before handing in the keys to the studio to work in social housing. Simon now lives in South East Queensland with his Australian wife and children but has never stopped playing around with audio, trying out far too many recorders and interfaces and satisfying his then undiagnosed ADHD by trying out various unrelated career paths. After substituting for the regular voice on an internet ad and winning microphones on a couple of podcast competitions, he has come full circle recording and doing a little audio restoration while working as a disability support worker.

For years, people have said that they "hear me before they see me"; this isn't just due to the low tone that gets carried in my speaking voice, but because of the various voices and characters that I would broadcast out of my open doors and windows and down the corridor for the rest of the school (you can thank Covid for that). 
Having worked within schools teaching 4-18-year-olds, I have various different tones and styles of communication to best suit my audience. For older students, I was a history teacher and regularly had to explain difficult and complex language, read long passages while maintaining the attention and interest of the class, and would occasionally drop in snippets of other languages (with attempted authentic pronunciation). For my younger students, I was a cover teacher so I taught them whatever was planned for that day. My fallback, if the class were unsettled,...
