Voyage Dog
Project Overview
Hello, my username is Johnnywriter and
I’m planning to make a cartoon pilot for an adventure-comedy series called Voyage Dog.
The pilot’s story would start with a teenage golden retriever named Copper sailing to a shady and dangerous island city called Scumberg. When he gets there he meets a rabbit girl named Hazel who has a map that has the locations of the 6 Legendary Crystal Suns and was going to find them on her own, but 3 hooded figures called The Explosio Trio want the map to the crystal suns for a mysterious client. Now it’s a race for Copper and his new friend to get the crystal suns before the 3 villains do, but not without help with new teammates they meet during their quest like Skye, a purple duck who can’t fly and hides her insecurities by acting cocky. Jasper, a green cat who likes playing pranks, but sometimes has deep thoughts to himself.
The 4 main characters will come across other side characters along the way that’ll temporarily join them in each episode. It’s a simple storyline formula that’ll have new locations in each episode and some action sequences but it won’t be too formulaic and there’ll be some change ups in the storyline.
The Show’s Audience and Writing/Tone:
This show will be aimed towards a broad online audience. There’ll be some mild curse words like “crap” and “jackass” but nothing too vulgar. There’ll be some visual humor with character expressions, and some dark humor in the show. The show would probably be rated TV-PG.

Copper is a teenage golden retriever who lives on a boat that he uses for sailing to far away places. He’s a character who likes traveling a lot, meeting new people, exploring new places and helping others sometimes. He also owns a bone shaped boomerang called “The Boneyrang” that he’ll use for self defense if he’s ever in trouble. “Name’s Copper. I’m a globetrotter who likes sailing to new places and meeting new people.”
“Do you mind if I can tag along? I don’t want to get mugged by some homeless guy or robber.”
Hazel is a teenage light brown rabbit who wears a light blue bow and practices kung fu. She lives in a village with other multi colored rabbits that is literally on top of the trees along with her grandma and little brother, Koey. After finding a mysterious map about the Crystal Suns hidden in her grandmother’s house, she decides to find out what the map is all about by going to a map store in Scumberg. She runs into Copper after dealing with The Explosio Trio and after Talon tells the both of them the backstory of the Crystal Suns they head off to their adventure. Hazel also likes to explore but she’s a bit more cautious than Copper and thinks before she acts. “Huh, I didn’t realize this map was such a big deal.”
Regina is the leader of the Explosio Trio, a group of hooded figures who are mercenaries that take jobs from any good or bad forces or any organizations. She is mostly no nonsense with her job and usually has a calm and stoic demeanor, but if anyone interferes with her paid jobs, she’ll go from a mercanary to basically a bounty hunter. “Guess we’re doing this the hard way. Jaks and Joggle, beat her up until she begs for mercy.”
(anger) “You’d better watch yourself rabbit girl, because you’ve made a grave mistake of making enemies out of us!”

Joggle is the last and shortest member of the Explosio Trio team. He‘s the more cheerful one and will usually break up Regina and Jaks’s arguments. “Would you two excuse me for a second? I need to talk to my sister upstairs.”
“I can help you two reveal each location of one the crystal suns on your map and after you collect one, you can come back to our store.”
Raven is a purple crow witch who wears a dark blue robe, likes fashion and is less serious about her work than her brother Talon. The Mysterious Client is a shadowy figure with ominous red eyes and resembles a human man. He usually has a calm demeanor but if his plans are being interfered, he’ll usually shapeshift into different animals or shoot fireballs out of anger. He at first hires The Explosio Trio to find the map of the Crystal Suns, but after finding out that Hazel has the map, he orders them to track and hunt her down.
