Project Overview

The time has come! My name is Chantelle (otherwise known as thataussieva) and if you are reading this then welcome.

The Story

How do I describe it? This OVA is a behind-the-scenes documentary about the filming of season two, filmed and told by the characters of Black Butler. Except the second season isn't at all how you expect it to be.

About The Project

So now I suppose you're wondering what this project is about. This will be a fandub of the 3rd Black Butler II OVA named "The Making of Kuroshitsuji II". I have been wanting to do this for a while and I'm finally able to. 

All roles will be available (apart from Ciel which I will be playing myself). This is a one time project so you don’t need to worry about long term commitment. With the exception of Sebastian and Bardroy, there really aren’t that many lines per character.

Please do not be discouraged by the amount of characters. There are A LOT of character in this but most only have a few lines so feel free to audition for more than one role!

The Audition Process

Please record your auditions in mono. 

Most characters sound slightly different in their "actor" state than they do in the anime. You don't have to do a perfect impression. I encourage you to show me your own take of the character. NOTE: I only request that if you are to audition with an accent other than the one stated, please attempt the accent (mostly English) in your submission as well. 

Audition lines are a mix of lines from the project and lines from the first season of the anime.

The Final Product

This project will require a large amount of dubbing so please keep that in mind before auditioning. The final project will be uploaded onto my YouTube channel and everyone credited accordingly.

Okay now for some rules:

1) You must have Discord. This is for communication purposes so I can contact you and you can contact me.

2) You must have a good quality microphone. Whether USB or XLR, if you can give me good quality recording with little to no background noise then I'll be happy.

  • Uncasted Characters

    First off I'd like to thank everyone who auditioned for this project. I am not lying when I say this was one of the hardest projects I've had to cast. There are so many talented people and I wish I had more characters to offer. I have completed casting for the majority of the characters now. I have moved some roles to the top of the page that remain uncasted. I will be opening the project again for a short time to try and fill these specific roles so please feel free to audition for these. Again thank you to everyone who auditioned!

  • Deadline Approacheth

    Wow, I was not expecting this many auditions but thank you all so much. I have listened to all submitted auditions so far and left feedback on a few (if you really want feedback and I didn't leave it, comment on your audition and I'll check it out again). Auditions close very soon and I'd love more auditions on Randall, Thompson, Pluto, Abberline, Edward V, Agni & Soma. They are only a few lines so if you can, please audition for those roles too. Looking forward to seeing what you all have!

    Thank you for the auditions so far! Keep them coming along. I've listened to pretty much every audition so far and I like what I hear. I've added a video link to nearly every character for anyone who would like to hear what the original English dub audio sounds like. Tanaka was the Phantomhive butler before Sebastian's arrival. Nowadays he serves as house steward. He doesn't have much stamina to remain in regular human form so he is often seen as a small man drinking tea. Also, he barely speaks and only gently laughs although he appears in full form and speaks briefly at the end of the OVA.

Sebastian is Ciel's demon butler and in the OVA his role doesn't really change much. He is only a costar to Ciel but still acts as his "character" would. The character of Ran-Mao only has one line in the entire video (which is typical as her character doesn't usually speak) but I will be using whoever is cast as the voice for Queen Elizabeth who has only a one line.
