Hello everyone! We are officially casting for our fan voice-acted production of the visual novel “Sound of Drop.” The full scope of this project will consist of around twenty ~30 minute long episodes posted on the Let’s Dub Project Youtube channel (Let's Dub Project - YouTube). Please note that this is a paid project and review the entirety of the description below for both details and expectations before auditioning.
A brief summary of the game: Mayumi and Himeno are friends that are expecting to have fun at the Manten Aquarium but ghosts from the past haunt Mayu. As the two find themselves in a strange altered reality, their lives are on the line and every step could lead to disaster. The visual novel itself consists of 31 “endings” but we will be focusing on dubbing specifically one of the “true” endings.
The project will be completed on an episode basis. Episodes up to the 9th will be available from the beginning of the project and each episode will be around 30 minutes. A couple of episodes lean closer to 40 minutes, and one is closer to 20. Lines will be provided by video. If any actor would prefer a written script, one can be provided.
Lines will be due every 3 weeks with a per-situation grace period for missed deadlines. Due to sheer volume of lines, the person cast for Mayumi will be given more leeway. I would like lines to be submitted as individual, cleaned files in WAV or high-bitrate MP3 to a Google drive that will be linked. Mayumi may submit a single long, clean recording. Ad-libbing is not only allowed but is encouraged. If the context isn’t obvious, please let me know what you intended to do, especially if it involves other actors.
IMPORTANT
Regarding payment, it will occur upon the approved and completed line submission for each episode. Completed lines must be approved before payment occurs. Episodes will not need to be completed and posted, only the lines need to be approved. The first payment will occur after the completion and approval of the first 5 episodes. Again, episodes will not need to be completed and posted, only the lines need to be approved. Payment will be $20 per episode for Mayumi, $15 per episode for all other characters, and $5 for any extras.
If the cast has any questions or concerns, ESPECIALLY with regards to how payment and deadlines work, they are required to let me know before submitting lines.
