Star Wars Open World Round 1 (Fallout New Vegas Mod)
Project Overview
What is Star Wars Open World?
Star Wars Open World is a DLC sized Fallout New Vegas mod that aims to create a Star Wars Universe RPG.
Players will embark on an immersive, open-world sandbox Star Wars adventure that will span the entire Star Wars galaxy with dozens of unique, detailed worlds to explore. Taking place in the very early years of the Galactic Empire, the game will be driven totally by player choice, whether they decide to adhere to the Lightside, the Darkside, or neither... each individual’s journey will be entirely unique and up to them.
Work has already been completed through the implementation of several Star Wars universe armor sets, classic locales, weapons and animations, and characters. Currently, some of the new processes include quest creation, UI creation, and asset clean up. Tank Girl regularly posts examples of the most recent work done on the project.
In regards to casting/auditioning for Star Wars Open World, each round of casting will first be exclusively open to Creator's Network voice actresses and actors for a week before being opened up to the public on CCC. If you would like to gain an Earlybird advantage on auditioning for this project or other New Vegas mods or creative projects, please do consider joining our community via this discord invite link: https://discord.gg/S23m2Hx.
Requirements for Auditioning Voice Actors:
We are currently looking for 18 years of age or older voice actresses and actors with at least a Blue Yeti mic, a fair amount of voice acting or real-life acting experience, a pop filter, the ability to work off of a Google Doc, and the ability to export audio in raw format, with no noise removal, compression, or EQ, as that will be handled by their sound team.
Instructions for Auditioning Voice Actors:
For starters, I, ACTIONFIGHTER11 (if the need arises, contact me via CCC PMs), am only a casting assistant on this project; I'm in charge of casting call set up, audition line direction, and casting call management. All audition comments, casting decisions, and communications/directing after casting will be handled by Logan (https://www.castingcall.club/m/loganparrish), this project's VA and Audio Director. On Discord, you will be communicating with Logan (@Logan#5032) via DMs or the Star Wars Open World Discord's VA chat. We request that all VAs who are interested are also able to communicate and send/receive files through Discord servers and DMs. If you are cast, you will receive your lines within a week through Discord along with recording instructions, deadline, accent specifications, any additional information on the character(s), and line directions.
If you do request to communicate with us through Email or another communication software, please send a private message to my profile on Casting Call Club and explain your situation. I will work with you via CCC Private Messaging to find a solution.
Non-human characters that require significant audio effects or modulation will have a special tag in their name specifying their Star Wars species. Pre - Existing Franchise Characters that require voice actors who can impersonate the original voice will have a (Needs Impersonator) tag next to their name. Any filters involved like masks or robot filters will not need to be done by voice actors or be added to the audition files. We mention them just as a reference for your own convenience. Unless we specify a specific accent, all characters, no matter what species, are to have the regular North American accent. Unless a character has a specific tag, they can be assumed to be human.
Designs for some characters are WIP so we'll be using some placeholder images for now.
Lead characters are characters that regularly interact with the player character or story as well as those who are companions. Supporting characters are characters that don't meet the requirements of lead characters.
You should record all audition lines included for each character. For each audition line, record one take. Be sure to follow the character bio and the specific directions provided for the audition line. You should be recording through an audio recording software like Audacity or Adobe Audition. For ONLY the purposes of auditioning, you should export and submit your audition as a .wav audio file with the settings of 44.1 khz, 16 bits, and mono recording format. You do not need to limit yourself in the number of characters you audition for. In some cases, we go ahead and cast a voice actor for two roles if they provide effective and different sounding performances for both.
If you get casted, but we lose contact with you for over a month without notice and with no ability to reach you, we will open your role again and cast someone else.
Once the deadline date is reached for this batch of characters, we will no longer accept more auditions for the specified roles within this round of casting. Over the next week or so, we will go over the submitted auditions and cast our characters.
CCC will automatically send you a message if you get cast. Additionally, either myself or Logan will send a private message to your CCC profile containing information on how to join the Star Wars Open World Discord Server. If there are any complications preventing that, please respond to our private message as soon as possible and we will work out solutions with you.
Final Message for Auditioning Voice Actors:
For those that audition and don’t make the cut, don’t lose heart as there are more characters to be up for grabs on this casting call page. This is only one viewable casting round of characters out of the many casting rounds that will be released and that we need your help on voicing. Do note that the roles listed in this casting call that you currently can see are not all available roles for the project, more will be posted in different casting calls for casting, over the coming months.
Best of luck! We look forward to hearing your great auditions!

Heya everyone! Just a heads up that your auditions are being reviewed. We will provide a decision soon. I'll be commenting on your auditions this time around.
Having served as a personal bodyguard for a powerful political figurehead during both the reign of the Galactic Republic and the Galactic Empire, she's gained quite the love for being in control of any situation she's in, even if it means being outspoken. The Imperial Storm Trooper Core recognized her talents and placed her as the lead officer of a stormtrooper squad, the same one that TK-8886 is in. Although she has a relatively soft voice, she speaks with authority.
Record all audition lines while referring to the notes below for each line and do one take of each line.
For the first audition line, you are giving a mission briefing to some new arrivals to your squad; be loud and commanding. You expect them to be on their a-game during this mission. You will not let your superiors down.
For the second audition line, one of your troopers decides to sneak in a snarky comment in the middle of your briefing. You are obviously not amused. You will not have your authority questioned.
For the third audition line, you are whispering some instructions to your troopers. Your squad is now in enemy territory so all of you must move carefully, quietly, and precisely. Now is not the time to screw up.
Initiates! This will be our first mission together as a ground force. This is a simple stolen property retrieval mission and I expect it to be completely up to imperial standards.
Trooper, did I authorize you to speak out of turn?
We've hit our objective location. I'll stay here and cover our exit, the rest of you fan out and locate the sensor.
Despite having assassinated a high political target during the Galactic Republic's reign, her new superiors in the Galactic Empire thought little of it. She was rejected upon applying to be a pilot and became a mere specialist in the stormtrooper corps. Feeling cheated, she's withdrawn from associating with others and is generally quite bitter about her current predicament.

For the first audition line, you are not only frustrated with the ineptitude of your superiors, but you are also thinking about how much better you would have done as the commander of this operation.
For the second audition line, you are giving a straight forward reply over the radio to new orders and quite happy that you are being allowed to go on the offensive rather than being limited to the defensive.
For the third audition line, you are responding to a radio order in a straightforward manner.
Shit, so they give us more blaster fodder directly after the last 3 initiates got fried? When are they going to stop forcing us to be babysitters and give us real relief?
Yes, sir. Order to hold the line acknowledged. I can switch to high power to make the mission more efficient, sir?
TK-8886-83, reporting. What are your orders?
Despite having a rough upbringing, she managed to find her footing in the tumultuous galaxy as a bounty hunter. Despite all the bloodshed, she's maintained a calm demeanor and a cold hearted nature. In addition to having a slightly rough and low voice, she has a cockney accent.

For the first audition line, you start with a really cold and disinterested attitude towards a possible pickup artist before realizing that there may be more than meets the eye to this stranger. It seems like you both might be in the same line of work.
For the second audition line, you aren't at all pissed that your contract has been stolen since the world after all operates on a dog eat dog basis. In the pause before "changes", you smirk; the word also acts as a euphemism towards the republic rapidly becoming a dictatorship/empire.
For the third audition line, you find the naivety of the player character to the way bounty hunting relates to the recent regime change quite charming. You are quite comfortable with and smug about all the work rolling in.
Yea, I don't speak to strangers, kiddo. Unless you've got contracts or here to buy a girl a dri.... wait, that's a nice blaster... Where'd you get it?
So, you've taken my target? Can't say I'm not surprised, dirtbag had it coming and bounty hunting seems to be on an incline with the... changes, going on in the galaxy.
Heh, you new? The war is over and now we get the joy of hunting the prosecuted war criminals who survived it. Pretty high paying targets if you ask me.
An old officer who Enlisted into the Imperial Military as a heavy vehicle specialist. He helped quell a planet-wide feud back on his homeworld. Currently stationed as an Imperial Troop Transport Operator. Generally speaking, he is of a positive temperament. He has a deep and rough, grizzled sounding voice with a kiwi accent.

For the first audition line, you are doing a standard checkup on the troop transport vehicle when you find out a new fresh batch of recruits is coming in. While its good to see the war effort is being supported, its also slightly tiring to go through the introductory briefing for the nth time; you can be slightly tired sounding when mentioning the need to go over the briefing again.
For the second audition line, you are giving an introductory briefing to some new recruits. You are loud and authoritative; there's not a moment to waste.
For the third audition line, you are broadcasting through the radio, an update on your troop transport's status. You are calm and straight forward.
Alright, load up... she's ready... and I see we have a full complement of troops this time around, perfect! Looks like I'll have to go over operational procedures... Again.
Listen up, initiates."This is the TT-45520 ground resource of our command ship "The Imperial Honor". This transport will be your designated resource until instructed otherwise. Keep her safe, clean, and up to imperial standards.
Imperial Command, TT-45520 on ImCom4. We've reached our intended destination. Crews will be out on foot, TT-45520 ending transmission.
Having studied for most of his life as an acolyte of a group of sages that served as advisors to the wealthy and powerful, he has developed into a kind and disciplined individual who goes through life with a calm attitude. While on his way to fulfilling a secret mission, he was intercepted by hostiles. Coincidentally, he also comes into contact with the player character who's in a similar situation as he is. Asides from having an English accent, he sounds quite similar to Plo Koon (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id1aH0A03dI&ab_channel=NecatiS%C3%B6nmez). Any auditioning VAs do not need to apply the voice modulation effect heard in the linked example, as the sound team would be in charge of that. One of the companions available in the mod.
Record all audition lines while referring to the notes below for each line and do one take of each line.
For the first audition line, you are giving the player character the benefit of the doubt and willing to interact with him/her in a friendly manner.
For the second audition line, you are at first kidding around with the player character before playfully remarking on the fact that aggressors may be attacking soon.
For the third audition line, you are quickly running through some more obstacles that you and the player character have to overcome. You have to admit this might be tough.
Hello, I wasn't expecting to see am unfamiliar face. You don't seem to be wearing a uniform either. Is there an issue?
It seems you have luck in being at the wrong place during the wrong time. I don't suppose that pounding on the blast-door is friendly company?
Well, we have plenty of issues at hand. For one, The Cockpit is locked and I am fairly certain neither one of us can pilot this ship.
Even though he was a Jedi, the first taste of war proved too much much, causing him to desert his own army of clones on their very first combat mission. Ironically, by hiding himself from his fellow Jedi, he was one of the few to survive the Great Jedi Purge. He manages to keep his PTSD at bay and lead a relatively stable life, by living a life of solitude; he truly values privacy. Having seen the depths of cruelty, he has become quite pessimistic about life, giving off a harsh and sarcastic aura. However, with the few that he can truly trust, he provides genuine kindness. He has a mid-range tone and a smooth sounding voice. One of the companions available in the mod.
Record all audition lines while referring to the notes below for each line and do one take of each line.
For the first audition line, you have caught on that the player character is following you and flank him/her, before putting a gun to their back. Although you sound relatively calm, you are not messing around and will fire at a moment's notice.
For the second audition line, you have come to trust the player character and happily welcome him/her to your place. You hope they make themselves at home. The last sentence in particular is supposed to be sarcastic; you find a bit of humor in that.
For the third audition line, you and the courier are about to set off for a tough but necessary fight. You have very obvious doubts about this mission being pulled off successfully. You think this is a mistake.
Alright, who are you and why are you trailing me. Don't try to deceive me. I can smell deception. Give me truthful answers and you may survive this encounter.
Yep, step on in, have a drink. The name's Min Pheendonna by the way and pardon the mess. I don't usually get visitors.
Look, if you'd like my honest opinion. I don't think we have any chance of winning this fight. We'd be outnumbered, outgunned, and I am not what you're expecting me to be, trust me.
