Project Overview

Project info: Searching for voice actors to voice characters for a high fantasy RPG video game in production. All Roles are paid positions with some roles having potential for future employment depending on project success.


Project Premise: “A small village has missed it’s taxes due to the local Lord, in response he sends his son and a trusted knight to query the delay in payment. After arriving it becomes quickly apparent something strange is going on with the small village, where people seem to lose their memories from day to day.”


Project F is an original, retro style, story driven RPG designed after the older Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy games. The project started as a solo development project but has expanded to include a small group of talented creatives. This casting call is specifically for the demo of the game which will cover the introductory sections of the main game. The demo will be used as a proof of concept for crowd funding purposes, after which more roles may be periodically cast and characters cast here will feature a reprisal.

Notes


  • Each character has some associated pixel-art representative of their in-game sprite to help you figure out if your audition will fit the character


  • Audio quality is paramount. Auditions should be clear and free from background noise


  • Feel free to do different styles on a character but please keep a maximum of 3 takes per line.

  • Ideally, this project will be finished and ready for dissemination in 3-4 months depending on developement time and scope creep

  • Gotten through auditions and started casting

    Hello everyone. We have finally gotten through all the auditions and are starting to reach out to actors for casting.   • Issues and false casting

    Hi all, We are listening through the auditions and shortlisting. In doing so the system is very susceptable to misclicks which seem to automatically cast actors to roles. We are trying our hardest to be careful to prevent this but it is still sometimes an issue. To make it very clear and circumvent this issue, we will contact individuals directly before officially casting them: Firstly, to endure they are still interested in the role, but secondly to solve this issue. If you are notified that you have been cast but have not been contacted by us, this is a mistake and we are sorry for causing it. This does not mean you have been cast, but also does not mean you have been cut. The reject and shortlist buttons are both right beside the cast button with no 2 step verification.   • Last few hours of auditions and feedback

    We are now in the last few hours of casting and have recieved a monumental amount of auditions, over 400 on CCC and over 700 in total. If you haven't auditioned yet please do so. No auditions will be accepted after the closing date and we will be sorting through the auditions first thing tomorrow morning. Due to the high number of auditions we cannot give individual feedback. We will however work on creating a large document containing general feedback, as well as tips and resources to improve your auditions for future auditions, whether for our or other projects.   • Increase to voice actor payment

    I only just realized all prices listed on CCC are in dollars. I am from europe and all prices should be in euro. This means all roles will actually be paid slightly more than they are listed for here. (Currently €20 is about $23) All payments made will be in EURO, which is currently stronger than the dollar. Hence, all pay for lines is increased, though I cannot predict what the exchange rate will be at the time of payment. Also, we have passed 200 auditions in CCC. I'm so delighted to see such excitement for the project and look forward to hearing every single audition!

  • Missing Voice recommendations for Kessler

    It seems I didn't include some voice notes and recommendations for Kessler, this has since been updated. These recommendations are in no way a requirement and someone who has auditioned using their own style may be chosen. That being said, if you have already auditioned for Armond Kessler and wish to submit an additional audition for the role, feel free to do so. NOTE: This only extends to the role of Ser Armond Kessler and none others, please don't submit multiple auditions for other characters if possible as multiple auditions will not be accepted. A knight in service to the Hibern family, and Farr’s guardian and combat instructor. He is a stern and confident man who Farr looks up to. He takes on a fatherly role as the boy’s actual father is frequently busy. He joins Farr in his quest to Wimill to supervise and assist the young noble.

An energetic and positive young woman. She shares her father Monty’s talent for metalwork but takes it further, showing an interest in the advanced machines of foreign kingdoms. She works in Monty’s smithy, but when Farr comes to town she is convinced her mechanical skills might be better put to use elsewhere. Not a lot can phase Rosie and she will almost always speak with a smile on her face. She gets very excited when talking about machines.

Monty is the blacksmith for Wimill. While he's more used to crafting hand scythes and the occasional cogwheel for his daughter, he is still capable of forging some high quality weapons. Monty is friendly and always willing to talk.

The mayor of Wimill. A competent woman who takes no nonsense when it comes to the wellbeing of her village. She is confused by Farr and Kessler’s arrival but prepared to help, and also eager to make use of them in tackling the village’s monster problem. Valeria is slightly manipulative but not in a bad way - she selects her tone carefully to get the reaction she wants out of people so they will help her village - her pride, respect for nobility, fearfulness are all tones she intentionally chooses to employ.

Sarah runs the town item shop, she is used to only selling essentials to the towns folk so is happy to see some new faces in town. She has a slight flirtatious twist to how she speaks, knowing she can always sell a little more by buttering up the customer. This facade fades away when things start to go wrong in the village, and she gives in to fear and paranoia.

The owner of the inn in Wimill, and many inns like it across the kingdom. Cormonn is a jovial man who never passes up an opportunity to speak to a new acquaintance, relishing in any conversation. He travels between his inns frequently and has experienced more of life than most people ever have.

A farmer in Wimill who is the father to Jimmy. He has been acting suspicious and hiding from the other villagers recently. Little do they know, Jonathon has been corrupted by something beyond their comprehension. He hangs onto his sanity by a thread as his mind is invaded by this alien intelligence.

He's often found near the town windmill just watching nature go by.
