Project Overview
ABOUT THE PROJECT
This is a mod for Skyrim Special Edition, featuring a new location, a small new questline, and new characters.
I am working alone on the project’s other departments, but if 3D artists want to help out, they can message me. I am primarily looking for voice actors right now. NOTE: This is an unpaid project.
It centers around Lae-Loria Highthar, roughly translating from Ayleidoon to Throat of Darkness, Highthar. It is a cavern (that when cross-sectioned looks like a upside-down, misshaped fortress) filled with secrets and vampires.
The questline is very minor. I see it more as a side questline helping the player delve into the lore of Lae-Loria Highthar, which stretches back to the Second Era.
THE LAND/LORE
Excerpt taken from one of my documents on Lae-Loria Highthar:
"Jaquerian Highthar took it upon herself to learn Ayleid history as a youth, alongside her father Merilian Highthar. Originally, Lae-Loria Highthar was left unnamed. Though when her father died about a hundred years after its establishment, she went on a mad rampage for a year unannounced to her husband and children. When she returned, she declared the name to be Lae-Loria Highthar in honor of her father."
The questline will center on the conflict between the two inhabiting families Salingal and Highthar/Aelsinian.

Jaquerian Highthar is the mother of Athrillian, Mirifire, and Seyonil Aelsinian. She is the biological half sister of Andiille Salingal and Nereminiar Sillonaire, the sister-in-law of Dhaarume Salingal, and the wife of Siloril Aelsinian. She is a Daughter of Coldharbour, and her family/bloodline lives in Lae-Loria Highthar worshipping her lost children and father, as well as the obvious Molag Bal worship.
Her tone is very regal, and holds a tinge of huskiness*. She is 972 years old, though being turned to vampirism at the age of 20 she sounds and appears that age. She speaks smoothly, and her voice is convincing. If you spoke to her, she’d have faith to her husband in words but she’d seem like she was flirting. Her voice is endearing only to her husband. Her accent leans more English.
Her goal? Overall, she wants to make sacrifices in her father and lost childrens’ names. Her goal is every other humanoid inhabitant of Lae-Loria Highthar’s goal.
She will not be marriageable, nor will she be able to follow the player.
Jaquerian (Jah-kware-ee-an) Highthar
*Experiment with the huskiness of her voice a bit. Higher levels or none at all, mess around with it.

Sondarie Salingal is the twin sister of Ilmiir Thilinius and the daughter of Dhaarume and Andiille Salingal. Seyonil has coined her as her best friend, and in their personalities they’re sometimes like twins. She and Seyonil have a large amount of respect for each other, often sent out on watch together.
She speaks with a low tone. She is persuasive, and in that not easily persuaded herself. The only thing she does not excel in that Seyonil does is manipulation. English accent. She is also often very genuine in her words. She does sound younger than Seyonil being eighteen years of age.
Her goals? She wants to find her brother, just as her father does. However, this proves tough for her.
After the main questline is completed, there will be a quest to help her leave Lae-Loria Highthar and one more to marry her. She will be able to be a follower.
Sondarie (Sonn-dar-ee) Salingal (Sall-in-gall)
Me and Seyonil have been best friends since.. forever. (laugh) She watched over me and my brother when we were kids. Once.
My mother? What do I think of her? I don’t really know. I like her, I guess. She’s not a cold, harsh person like Jaquerian is to her children.

He alongside Seyonil is the third-in-command to Jaquerian. He is the only child born from Molag Bal raping Jaquerian (in the body of Siloril) for the second time.
He is cold, but will say what he feels is not so revealing of the place’s issues and wrongs. He has an RP English accent.
His goal other than supporting Lae-Loria Highthar’s main cause? He wants to one day take hold of the top level of leadership in Lae-Loria Highthar alongside Seyonil.
He is not marriageable and will not be made a follower.

She is the complete opposite of Mirifire, in that she is outspoken, flirtatious, and persuasive. Her false confidence portrays the whole mood of Lae-Loria Highthar.
She speaks with a low tone and flirtatiously to everyone she meets, and anyone else she talks to. She is persuasive, and in that not easily persuaded herself. The same property applies to her use of malicious manipulation. Her accent is English just as her sister’s.
Her goal other than supporting Lae-Loria Highthar’s main cause? She wants to have a husband and children, and to eventually lead Lae-Loria Highthar.
She is both unmarriageable and will not be made a follower.

Ilmiir Thilinius is the twin brother of Sondarie Salingal and estranged son of Dhaarume and Andiille Salingal. He was given the opportunity to leave Lae-Loria Highthar at age fifteen by his father, and he gladly took it to run off to Winterhold. He knew he’d not prefer Summerset, having lived in a cold and harsh climate for near his whole life. He never sought out a cure for his vampirism, in the fear that he would be killed.
He’s a genuine guy, kind and listens to what you say. He’s not the stereotypical Altmer, he shows that he cares about what you’re talking about. He has an English accent.
His goal is to eventually make his way to join the Dominion, though he’s a bit too occupied by his current studies. He does wish to reconnect with Sondarie.
He will not be a follower or marriageable.

Her goal other than supporting Lae-Loria Highthar’s main cause? She eventually wants to return to normal society, and cure her vampirism so she can support the Dominion and worship the Altmeri Pantheon once more. She’s discussed it with Andiille before, and he told her that they would die in trying to escape. She hasn’t lost hope, though.
Dhaarume (Da-room-eh) Salingal (Sall-in-gall)
Seyonil and Sondarie have been best friends for a.. A while. They’re practically inseparable. For Seyonil, I think, Sondarie is like the ‘sister she never had.’

Siloril Aelsinian is the father of Athrillian, Mirifire, and Seyonil Aelsinian. He is the husband of Jaquerian Highthar. He is very affectionate towards his wife, still not believing she forgave him for raping her when possessed by Molag Bal. He is second in command to her in Lae-Loria Highthar.
Of the leading people in the fortress, he is the most open to the player. That doesn’t mean he’s warm and secret revealing at the surface. He is less likely to use the cold, unfriendly tone that the other leaders use. If you spoke to him, he’d seem like he’d take in every word and give it generous consideration before continuing the conversation.
His goal is to support his wife and to, of course, make more sacrifices in their lost childrens’ names. (This is the overall goal of everyone in Lae-Loria Highthar) He, like Jaquerian, wants to instill fear in the surrounding civilizations.

She speaks stiffly and professionally. She won’t reveal anything about Lae-Loria Highthar and its leaders, fearing that her being would end if done so.
Her goals are to support Lae-Loria Highthar but secretly wishes to overthrow it.
She will not be a follower or a potential marriage candidate.

She’s quiet, an observer. Despite this, she is still stubborn and passionate. If you spoke to her however, you would notice she is a bit silly, cracks a joke every now and then. She has multiple accents when it suits her: varies from English to Khajiit accent for certain mocking lines.
Her goal? To eventually deteriorate Lae-Loria Highthar. Though she wants to do this, she holds back for two reasons. 1; her husband’s wishes and 2; Andiille and Jaquerian were still his siblings. She had tried to discuss this but he shut it down on the second reason.
She, as a mercenary, can follow the player but cannot be married.
Casinyth (Cass-ih-nith) Lamorrwel (Lam-orr-well)
I.. um.. used to work in Vvardenfell’s glass mines for House Dres. Every day was another grueling set of tasks. And the slavers didn’t make it better.I was there my whole life until twenty-one, when I finally escaped.

They work as mercenaries and make enough to stay stable.
When he speaks, it’s either cold and distant or monotone and blank. His laughs are empty. If you spoke to him he’d seem careless, of what you’re speaking of, what’s around him, and even what he’s speaking of. Towards his wife, however, he is warmer and more open. He has an accent, that of an English accent, but it does not contain the usual snobbiness of an Altmer’s.
His goal right now? Secretly, he wants to join the Dark Brotherhood. He will be bringing this up with his wife upon the player’s first arrival into their home. She will end up leaving him waiting for a definite answer.
As a mercenary he can act as a follower but will not be marriageable.

Silunayne Anaedfhar is a former victim of Jaquerian’s vampiric curse. She and one man (Talvadas Dulnrvu) are two of the only people who made it out escaping Lae-Loria Highthar. Once she escaped she managed to receive a cure and tried to continue her life off from where it had been before being cursed. She lives in Solitude and supports the Dominion, but mostly just works as a mercenary.
She speaks very formally, respectfully. She has the voice of a typical Altmer woman but holds back on acting like one. English accent.
Her goal? She eventually wants to settle down and not work so much, or on the other end of the spectrum work for the Dominion. She wants children and a husband.
She will be marriageable and will be a follower.

Talvadas Dulnrvu is a former victim of Jaquerian Highthar’s vampiric curse. He and one woman (Silunayne Anaedfhar) are two of the only people who made it out escaping Lae-Loria Highthar. He sought a cure out, and moved back to Solsthiem to be amongst his Dunmeri brethren.
Talvadas is quite blunt with his words. He is stiff and rigid, and would make a good companion in the player’s travels as a good fighter. I would most definitely prefer a Morrowind Dunmer voice, but open to the accent Skyrim has.
He wants to move back to Mournhold one day, though he has grown attached to Solsthiem.

Unfortunately for her, as a novice she had no control and it sucked Andiille, Ilmiir, Sondarie, Dhaarume, Casinyth, Nereminiar, Dro’ariiti and Ko’ahjasa into Skyrim, where they split up. She is a scholar now, in the college.
She’s open and friendly. She’ll greet you with welcome and warmth even when she’s never seen you before. Open to any accent for her.
