Indie Horror Game: 12 Paid Voice Roles

Indie Horror Game: 12 Paid Voice Roles

Project Overview

A paid indie horror-comedy game for PC, close to finished.

The player's character ("the new guy") is stranded overnight in a closed theme park. A traveling carnival crew camped in the parking lot is the only help he has, and something giant is hunting him. Scary at night; the carnival folks are real, funny, worn-out people.

What we want: grounded, natural acting, not cartoon voices (unless the role says so). The script has some strong language.

HOW TO AUDITION: Read the lines on each role you want. The note in parentheses at the start of each line says how it feels and what is happening in the scene; do not read it out loud. "The new guy" in the notes is the player's character. One or two takes per line is plenty. Audition for as many roles as you like, and tell us if you are happy to play 2 or 3 small parts (paid per line either way). Clean audio, no music or effects.

AFTER CASTING: you get a script with a short note on each line and record at home. Final files are WAV, one file per line.

PAY: $4 per line, with a $50 minimum per role. Each role shows its estimate. Each line includes 2 to 3 takes. Paid by PayPal within a few days of receiving your files. Any new lines for this game later are paid at this same $4 rate, and that rate is written into a short, simple contract.

USAGE: your recordings are used in this game, its trailers and its store page. Use in any other game is a separate deal. We will never use your voice to train AI or make a voice clone.
