The sides they read from:

  • (matter of fact. Between carnival rides, Jimmy tells the new guy about his life; he doesn't think it's sad) My dad left before I was born. Mom says he went out for cigarettes.

  • (a yelp. In the batting cage, a pitched baseball hits Jimmy in the face) Ow! I can't feel my teeth!

  • (trying not to cry. Jimmy thanks the new guy after the best night of his life) Nobody ever took me to a park before. Nobody ever really cared about me like this.
