The sides they read from:

  • (grand, welcoming. Marvello meets the new guy for the first time, at his carnival game) Ahh. The newest member of our little troupe.

  • (thrilled. The new guy just brought Marvello a huge load of scrap metal to sell) Four hundred dollars! The scale does not lie. Tonight, the carnival eats.

  • (quiet, haunted. Marvello's young ride operator is missing, and he fears the monster got him) Forty years we have run from things like that. Town to town. Never looking back.
