Happy Family Program - ARG (Voice Actors, Artists, Editors)
Project Overview
WHAT IS THE HAPPY FAMILY PROGRAM?
This is an ARG, or Alternate Reality Game. Players will solve puzzles to unlock parts of the story as they slowly begin to piece it together. This is under the same unification umbrella as The Walten Files and The Mandela Catalogue. We are looking for voice actors for the characters, video editors, and artists. Though voice actors are the main priority as of right now. There are seven episodes of this series, and each one is roughly 5 to 10 minutes.
Newclear Family Inc. has begun it’s final testing stage for their new memory treatments for children, and is documenting it on Youtube for their investors. However, someone seems to be leaving breadcrumb trailers to the unedited videos, which may even reveal [REDACTED].
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
AGE: Our characters range from 5 to 53, and anyone over 13 can apply! We simply ask that you disclose your age to our Mods, to ensure that minors are looked out for. We have to ask that you be over 13 because we will be conversing on Discord or other social medias, and this is the minimum age.
MIC: We also require good sound quality, that can record with minimum or no background noise. It doesn't matter what you record on as long as it meets those two requirements.
AUDITION INFO:
- Please do 2-3 takes of the lines with breaks in between lines as well as the takes.
- Do not be afraid to be dramatic. A lot of these kids are going through it.
- Leave your discord tag with your audition, you will be messaged by a user named Kier. If you do not have discord, leave the best way to contact you, be it social media or email.
Come join the family!

Thank you all for the support on this project! It's been amazing to see something I've been working so hard on for the past 5 months come to life! There have been so many auditions, so much more than my team and I ever thought possible, and I want to thank you all. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for auditioning! I will be wrapping up casting today, and officially assigning the rest of the roles. If you are interested in this project beyond just the casting, this is the official discord: https://discord.gg/uhrWfQkX3d This is an ARG that will move throughout several social media platforms, with puzzles and lore that is sure to leave you wanting for more. The first episode should be up within the next couple of months, but lore will be slowly revealing itself on TikTok and Twitter until then, so there is sure to plenty to talk about. Once again, thank you all so much, and I hope to chat with you in the discord, and see you unravel the story of the Happy Family Program in due time.
This character is a boy around 8 years old. Can be played by anyone. He is constantly sad, very often on the verge of tears because of how alone and abandoned he feels.
In response to, Why are you here?
"To get better."
Soft crying, then sniffling can be heard.
"No, I feel better, I promise."
Telling a very personal story.
"One day a puppy was taken to the side of the road by its owners. They waited for a car to pull over, and then gave the puppy away."
This character is a young girl around 5 years old. Must be able to convey the youngness/innocent quality of the child. She is the only one that’s happy to be there. She trusts the scientists, even if their experiments make her feel sad.
Her voice is full of enthusiasm.
"Look Mommy, I’m so pretty!"
Recounting an event that upset her.
"Um.. mommy was really mad cause even in my pretty dress she said, she said I was ugly."
Telling a story.
"Once upon a time there was a ugly princess who was really sad. And and the king and queen yelled at her and told her to go away because she was so ugly."
This character is a soft spoken girl around age 11. The oldest of the children, and she seems to know the truth of what’s going on, and doesn’t want any part of it.
Her tone is sarcastic and dry, almost bitter.
"To make my family proud."
She knows that her time is up, this is her last act of defiance.
"I was a real person. Even if I’m not myself by the time you see this."
She doesn’t remember anything, and is scared.
"Liar! You’re lying! Stay away from me!"
This character is a boy around 7 years old. He was given up by his parents for money, and extremely resents them because of it. He’s angry at the world.
An annoyed tone, hurt buried within anger.
"Because money is worth more than I am."
More deadpan, angry in a reserved kind of way.
"Well I hope my mom and dad see this and know it’s me."
The child is yelling, at the peak of his frustration. It is restrained enough that you can still understand every word, and isn't too loud, but conveys his anger.
"They screamed and cried but no one was going to help them because they sold away everything that cared about them."
This character is a man in his 40s-50s. Must have a deeper voice. He believes that what he’s doing is for the best, but tends to get fed up with the children easily.
A neutral observation. Calculating. "Your silence is only making this take longer."
Attempting to persuade, but still a bit detached. We want to believe him, but don't know if we can. "We are here to help you."
He is fed up. An exasperated sigh before the line begins. "You’re being selfish X-18, think of all the good your contribution will bring to this world. You will finally be able to heal. You’ll make your family happy."
This character is a woman in her 30s-40s. She is a washed up woman, resorting to subtle manipulation to make sure everything runs smoothly. She knows this is her last chance, and she won’t let anything stand in the way of her success.
Attempting to be sweet, but her determined tone gives away her lack of empathy.
"We can’t dwell on the what-ifs, honey. This company depends on us, so we’ll make it work. No matter what happens."
Bitter but forceful, she lets her true colors show in a time of stress.
"You were weak, you let your emotions get the better of you and you could’ve ruined all of our progress."
Bitter, but more reserved. She’s given up and let’s the reality of her situation finally sink in. She knows this is her life now.
"Whatever. What a great family I have. Tsk, family."
Looking for artists that are good at drawing animal mascot heads, children, and both sitting and standing poses.
