Full-length Animation Project

Project Overview

Thank you for checking out our casting call! We are a husband and wife team, combining our various skills to create a full length 2-D adventure/fantasy animation. We will incorporate a score, foley and special effects into the production, and it should be enjoyed by many people. Although it will not be broadcast, we are looking into various forms of delivery, including possibly youtube. 

My wife wrote this brilliant script, and we decided to make it into an animated project. The imagery is complete, the characters are being animated. But, we must have the voices before finishing the animations. We are also in the process of composing the score. It should all be completed within a year. We are both active full time in this each and every day.

We've already hired a number of roles, but we still need a male character support role and one female support role. Thank you for the auditions of the character, Vladimir! We have filled this role through another source. And thank you all who have auditioned so far! You make our job to choose very difficult indeed! 

Those awarded the role will be credited at the end of the film. 

Audition Guidelines:
1)Please use a high-quality microphone. No echoes or puffs or background noise. Please don't edit/pitch your voice. Noise removal is fine.
2) Auditions will be judged by the two of us and the results will be posted rather soon. Due to our busy schedule, we will be unable to offer critique to those that did not get the part.

  • Roles cast

    Thank you all so much for the tremendous show of interest in this project! We were quite caught by surprise how many quality auditions we received. It wasn't easy coming to our choices, but we do feel confident we chose well for the characters. If you did audition and are confused or curious about anything, please let us know. There is a possibility that there will be other roles available in the future for this project, but time will tell. Once more - thank you all. Wishing you success in your endeavors, you talented people!

  • Update for last update..

    About closing the casting call early... we got feedback that it's not so cool to do that, so we'll keep it open for the original length of time. (I believe it was the 26th) We're new to casting, and we respect the rules of the game. So.. several more days to send in those auditions. Thanks everyone!

Character has 930 words.  (Character name is confidential at this time) This character has a young, deep, confident and mysterious voice. Neutral North American accent. He's very charismatic. Even though this is an animation, please don't sound like a cartoon voice. We're aiming for a more mature animation.

Smooth talker,  never rushes what he says, with parts of the script being a partial whisper, with that deepness/confidence still coming through. This character is very intelligent, charismatic with a mysterious undertone.

  • (Mocking his counterpart, beginning with small chuckle) "Look at you! You don’t even have a single flame any more… You just steam this black smoke like some sick dragon. That dreamy girl took almost all your power"

  • (MOSTLY WHISPERED, spoken slowly, mysteriously and with slight encouragement.. heard in the mind of Mila.. his voice being placed in her mind through magic. ) "This is your chance, Mila. (MEEla) It’s the chance to learn the world, and life... to learn who you really are."

Young Female Supporting Role (75 words)

This lovely character, (Aravella), is from a nation which speaks with a wonderful Irish accent and has 75 words in the script. She is strong-willed, yet very feminine and classy. Her voice is light and charming with a bit of melodic intonation.  Her role is small, yet covers several emotions, from heartbroken to celebrative to stern.  This is not a cartoon, so please have her sound realistic. 

  • (With utmost glee and excitement, she and her love interest are at her nation's celebration) "Let's celebrate and drink a toast to the start of our new project!"

  • (With deep grief and bewilderment, her love interest has died in an accident..she's at a small funeral... begin with sniffles) "I can't believe others survived and returned... others survived... but not him.."

Vladimir (VlaDEEmir) is the leader of his nation., but not a pompous king-type. He's down to earth, and blends into his nations people. He is strong, yet caring. He speaks with an authentic Russian accent. *Must be authentic, my wife is strict about this. :) 

  • (Explaining himself to two teenage girls (daughter and her friend) after they asked him why he walked into their room) "The door was open, you girls were screaming.. I could hear you in the neighboring village. Whats going on?! "

  • (Said with a bit of frustration, he was caught off guard in this conversation, and was asked about this our of the blue from someone he does not like!) "Mila has her free will to marry you. But first she has to know everything about you... everything."
