New Auditions
Hey all! Sorry for my inactivity. A lot has gone down in my RL as of late so I haven't had time to pay attention to this much. Tonight, I'll be able to divulge full attention to it!
Hey all, it's Cu na Saoirse! Back at it again with another fun project! Please make sure to read THIS ENTIRE description before audition please. That includes Audition Requirements and Voice Requirements!
The project this time is for a fun little series that I plan on continuing. This mod title is Encounters of The Mojave - Primm/Mojave Outpost. It aims to add scripted encounters around the Primm and Mojave Outpost areas to make the world feel more alive. This will be an ongoing project, with several mods planned in the future to cover other areas of the map in the hopes of having the entire map covered in the future.

-Have fun!
If you are disqualified, feel free to re-audition! There is no negativity here, only positivity and room for improvement!
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I can answer most.

Scavengers are locals to the Mojave Desert. Looking to make a quick profit off of the Old World, they loot and scavenge the remains of a dead civilization.
This Scavenger is looting an old race track in the Ivanpah Dry Lake area, right before he and his comrades are set upon by Giant Ants.
Hey, keep low! I'm only gonna be a sec...
Yeah, well, we haven't found shit out here. There's gotta be something in this thing. Spare parts or something we can hock in Freeside...
And, yeah, you're right... Nothing in this goddamn thing! Fuck!

Well, hurry it up! There's ants everywhere! I sure hope this was worth it!
I'm not so sure... We should just get out of here before we're noticed...
I told you there wouldn't be anything here! This was a huge, dangerous, waste of our time! Oh my God, they noticed us! Here they come!
Prospectors are NCR Citizens that have come to the Mojave Wasteland in search of their fortune via scavenging. The only real difference between them and local scavengers is their name, which is a polite term for "Scavenger".
This Prospector just survived an attack on his rest stop by a local gang, and has fled with a friend to the outskirts. When the Player approaches, he warns them of the danger that lies up ahead.
< Exhausted breath > I don't know.
I said I don't know! We might be all that's left... What do you suggest we do now?
I agree.... We should go now while we're ahead.

< Exhausted Gasp > Did... Did we lose them?
We barely made it out of there, though... Do you think anyone else made it out?
I think we need to head back to the Mojave Outpost, let them know what happened here. It's no longer safe for Prospectors like us.
The Jackals are a cannibalistic gang of Raiders in the Mojave Wasteland. Once a powerful, mighty force, they have been brutalized and beaten by other, more powerful gangs AND the powerful military of the New California Republic. By the time of Fallout: New Vegas, they are a shadow of what they once were.
This Jackal participated in an attack on a Prospector rest stop, and is getting ready to prepare the bodies of the slain for dinner.
Is that it? Is that all of them?
These NCR pussies barely put up a fight. They'll make good eatin' though.
Eh, let 'em go. Maybe they'll think we have left and will come back later. We'll get some good snackage then.

I think so. We killed the lot of them pretty fast. Seems we caught 'em off guard.
Hells to the yeah, but what about the two that got out? Shouldn't we be chasing them?
Sounds like a good idea to me.
Escaped Convicts are Powder Gangers that broke off from the main gang at the NCRCF. Having escaped prison, they are on the lam and have taken up residence in Primm after killing most of the townsfolk. They are currently in a standoff with nearby NCR forces at the time of the Player's arrival.
This Escaped Convict is remorseful for what he's done and wishes to die to atone. The Player has the choice of killing him, or letting him go. If the Player lets him go, he will later reappear at Jacobstown, working to help alleviate the insanity suffered by the Nightkin there.
No worries. My hands aren't going anywhere. I don't even have a gun. So you'll just have to trust me. Are you gonna kill me?
That doesn't matter. I'm an escaped con. From the NCRCF down the road. Now that you know that, are you gonna kill me?
Do you want the honest truth, or a lie? Cuz I can tell you both.

This Escaped Convict is talking with another about what to do with the Deputy they captured. If the Player gets too close during the conversation, they will attack.
So what are we gonna do about that dumbass deputy?
Should we ransom him?
Then we should just kill him.

I'm not sure what we're gonna do.
The bossman is leaning towards the idea, but isn't sure yet. He seemed kinda hapless...
That seems kinda overkill, don't you think? He's the only reason the NCR hasn't stormed this place yet, I think.

This Escaped Convict is discussing with another on what to do with the remaining townsfolk who have barricaded themselves within the local casino.
So, any idea on what we're gonna do with the bastards in the casino?
So the boss just wants to wait? What's the sense in that? Let's kill them now.
You sound like a straight-up pussy right now, y'know that right?

I'm not sure. The boss wants to wait, see what they do. Right now, they don't seem to be up to anything.
What, are we supposed to attack them now? We'd be slaughtered! Everyone in this town owns a gun, y'know?
Well, I suppose we could go catch a straggler. Beat the shit out of them and cut their throat... I dunno.
Powder Gangers are escaped convicts from the NCRCF. After rioting and taking over the prison as their base of operations, the Powder Gangers run rampant across the Wasteland around Goodsprings, looting, murdering, and other horrible things.
This Powder Ganger has been captured by NCR Rangers and faces execution if the Player does not intervene.
Please! Whatever you do, just don't kill me!
Oh my God, oh my God! You gotta help me!
Thank you! They caught me with my pants down.... I'm getting out of here.
Caraveneers are people who run caravans across the Wasteland, bringing goods and trade to various settlements and backwaters.
This Caravaneer just arrived at the Mojave Outpost, only to be told that he can't go through due to creatures blocking traffic on the road. He does not take it well, and gives the NCR Gate Guard a hard time.
What?! Why not?!
This is absolutely unacceptable! I've come all the way from The Hub to do business here, and you won't let me through! How dare you!
You should do your goddamn job and clean those critters up! What else are you troopers good for besides wasting our tax money?!
NCR Troopers are the backbone of the NCR Military. Full of volunteers and conscripted soldiers, the Troopers are the first in, last out, boots on the ground, in the knitty and gritty force that the Mojave needs to stabilize it.
This NCR Trooper is stationed outside Primm, watching for any movements the Escaped Convicts may make.
Not really. The cons are staying put, and have killed anyone trying to escape to us.
Yeah, I know. But we shouldn't be held back. We need to get in there and save them!
I suppose we can't go against orders, even if I don't agree with them.

Do you see anything? Anyone?
Hayes is getting anxious. He's worried about the people trapped in the town, but the fucking higher-ups are telling us to stay put.
Yeah, well, for now we gotta listen to the goddamn idiots in command.
The NCR Rangers are the best of the best in the NCR Military. Essentially special forces, they are an all volunteer group that goes out on dangerous, high-risk missions to accomplish the goals of the NCR. From scouts and nighttime raids to assassinations and sometimes even combat missions.
This NCR Ranger has just captured a Powder Ganger, and is debating with their comrade on what to do with them.
Shut it, you!
So what do we do with this one?
I dunno. Camp McCarran is too far a walk to lock him back up, and we don't have the people to take him back to California. It's up to you.

Well, what do you think?
Who says we're gonna lock him back up? Let's kill him now. He's dead either way.
There. Now there's no argument. Let's head back to the Mojave Outpost.

This NCR Ranger is sitting underneath the shade, complaining to her comrade about the Mojave heat.
Goddamn, it's too hot out here...
What are you talking about? We don't have any A.C. in the barracks either... Look at me! I got sweat forming under my pits!
Well, at least we're under the shade... Until our next patrol, anyways.

I know... We should just head back to the barracks...
Disgusting... You're disgusting... Well... I guess we're both gross then, if that's the bar.
Speaking of which, Jackson's gonna have some of us head out towards Novac later. It's only gonna get worse from here.

This NCR Officer is doing her paperwork in her office when her Aide comes along to report a situation that begins to frustrate her.
What do you have to report, soldier?
Dammit. That makes the third wounded soldier in five days. What the hell are the Raiders doing down the road?
Yeah, well, in between the radscorpions and giant ants, it's a wonder the Raiders are sticking around. Must not have anywhere else to go.

This NCR Trooper is an aide to the NCR Officer, and interrupts her paperwork to report an ongoing situation.
The Raiders are holding their position down at Ivanpah. Koman's been wounded in the assault, but the squad made it back alive.
Couldn't tell you, ma'am. All I know is they are disrupting traffic and making the locals afraid to even leave their homes.
My question is this: How are they still alive?

This NCR Trooper is singing a rendition of The Idiot by Stan Rogers. An audience gathers as he sings about how he hates his life as a soldier but gladly lives it to remain free from Caesar's Legion.
I often take these late night walks, when the Sergeant's not around. I turn my back on the silent guns. And leave the grunts alone.
Far out beyond the tanks and the trucks, where the artillery makes no sound, I forget my luck, because I'm thinking of my California Town.
I remember back six years ago, this soldier life I abhor, and everyday the news would say, some trooper's gonna march to war.

This is the cook for the Mojave Outpost. When a caravan comes through, he manages to squeeze out a deal with for some of their excess food so he can prepare it for the troops stationed there, all to impress a girl that he likes.
Some Brahmin tips stewed in onions and agave sauce.
It isn't. A caravan came through yesterday and unloaded some excess supplies thanks to some shrewd bargaining. No rations for the next few days.
How about a kiss from a pretty girl?

This NCR Trooper is checking up on the cook, seeing what's on the menu for later. She's excited to hear that they aren't going to be having standard rations, and the Cook proceeds to hit on her, before being flatly turned down.
What's on tap today, Garverson?
That doesn't sound like standard rations...
Wait, seriously?! Sweet!

This NCR Trooper is lazing about the Mojave Outpost, ignoring their standing orders to go on patrol.
Shouldn't we be getting a jump start on our upcoming patrol?
I guess... I don't feel like it, personally... But won't that make us insubordinate?
Yeah, true... It'll get done... What does it matter when it gets done? Besides, the rest of the squad are off who-knows-where... Bleh.

What? What do you mean? We're not due until a few hours from now. We got time.
Hah, you worry too much. The patrol will get done when it gets done. Who cares when, as long as it happens soon?
Same here.

This NCR Trooper is guarding the gate that leads into the Mojave Wasteland. When a caravan comes through, she relays to them that she'll be unable to let them through, which angers the caravaneer. She doesn't get intimidated by him, and flat out refuses to let him through.
Hold it, show me your papers.
Everything seems to be in order. You've come at a bad time, I'm afraid. We won't be able to let you through at this moment in time.
Some horrible critters are infesting the road leading into the Mojave. Ranger Jackson has ordered all caravan traffic cease until it clears up.
