Narrator for educational YouTube channel

Project Overview

A friend and I plan to create an educational channel like Vox.

We have everything set up, all we need now is a Voiceover artist. I am horrible at voice-overs. I'm told I speak too fast so I thought I'd come here and hopefully recruit one of you to join our team.

The explainers will be like the videos on Vox's youtube channel. The voice-overs shouldn't be overly dramatic, they should just sound like someone explaining something they're interested in.

As the scriptwriter, I understand that a lot of responsibility in making the voice-over sound conversational relies on how I write the script which is why if you don't like how the script is worded you can just send it back to me with the parts that trip you up highlighted.

Compensation for this project will be $30 per video. I plan to create a video every week.

I look forward to meeting you!

The below two audition lines were taken from a script I wrote on the world's flight paths and the fees that countries charge planes to use their airspace. It's a very interesting subject. I hope you have just as much fun narrating the audition lines as I had writing them!

  • When you talk about the U.S. and its airspa… wait let me zoom out first. Ok, when you talk about the U.S. and its airspace you’re not only talking about the airspace directly above territorial U.S. but also above much of the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. The U.S. can charge airspace fees to any plane flying over this part of the world. If a plane were to fly from Beijing to Vancouver or even from Auckland to Tokyo, they’d have to comply with U.S. airspace restrictions and pay the U.S. for using its airspace.

  • As we rely more and more on the skies for everything from transport to shipping, the weaponization of airspace as a means of pushing political agendas becomes a much more common occurrence. When airspace restrictions depend so much on the ebb and flow of world politics, airspace politics becomes, just as, if not more, confusing and complicated as world politics. I hope you liked this introduction to our world’s flight paths. I thought I’d end here because any more in-depth and this video would be more about international relations than cool, cool planes! If you liked the video...
