About


Welcome to the Casting Call for Danganronpa Wilting Lotus. This project will be a fully voiced audio drama uploaded to YouTube. The story revolves around 

Habiki Yuuno, the Ultimate Private Investigator who gets invited to an estate named Arcadia along with 15 other Ultimate students. They are all invited to a so-called special event for Ultimate students. This event is hosted by the 4 headmasters of the estate. When the Ultimate's officially make their way in however, things start to turn sinister when they realize that what they thought was a special event is not what it seemed. The darkness and horror of what awaits at Arcadia awaits.


Progress as of now


  • All neutral base sprites are officially done. 

  • The whole story, death order, and plot elements/points are outlined completely.

  • The Prologue, Chapter 1 and 2 scripts are written.

  • The Chapter 3 script is currently being written.


Requirements


  • Please have a good sounding mic, avoid clipping, static, and background noise as best as possible.

  • Please have a form of contact (Preferably Discord)

  • Be able to express various emotions as well as display performance.

  • This is a fully voiced audio drama project, so be prepared for a lot of lines should you be cast for a role.

  • This project may contain scenes/mentions of violence, blood, etc. Please be wary of the potential disturbing content.

  • This is an UNPAID NON-PROFIT fan project that is not affiliated with Spike Chunsoft, NISA not Kodaka in any way.

  • ONE WEEK LEFT

    Hello everyone, Thank you all so much for auditioning for Wilting Lotus. We would like to remind everyone that the casting call will be over in a week from now. Once the deadline is up, auditions will close and no more auditions will be accepted by then. All roles will be closed, and the casting process may take a bit as a result of the big number of auditions we have received.   • Update on Auditions

    Hello everyone, thank you all so much for your wonderful auditions. We have received a lot of good auditions, and we're excited for the many more to come. We would like to share that due to the higher than expected quantity of auditions we have received, we are gonna be changing the deadline to be a little earlier. The deadline for Auditions is now October 2nd. This is to make things easier on our end, so we hope you understand. The description of the project has also been updated, since Chapter 2 of the script has been completed. Thanks once again for your auditions, and we look forward to when we cast for the project.

These two traits combined make him up to be a determined man, as he will use whatever he can to ensure the safety of himself and the others he cares for.

Kaori is a precious yet anxious soul. She lives for playing the violin, which is where she lets all her energy out. In terms of personality, she is a sweet fragile girl, yet has a lot of social anxiety, thus resulting in her lack of playing in front of crowds. Kaori is simply anxious, reserved and shy yet precious and sweet at the same time.

How the voice should sound: Medium High. Sweet, Innocent and Reserved sounding

  • (Reserved) Y-Yea... I play, but... not in front of many. Let's say it's... stage fright in some way. I-I'm not the best with c-crowds... anymore...

  • (Panicked) Eeek! I-I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean it that way! Please don't rub my remark the wrong way! Pleeeeaase!!!

In Hayate's case, he is a very fun individual to be around. He is a flirtatious guy, yet is not over the line flirtatious. Hayate is nice and cares for others, though he can rarely act like he is self-centered as if he were the cool guy, but that is not his intention.

How the voice should sound: Medium. A tad bit flirtatious.

  • Me? Oh no, I'm no scientific mixologist. I am nothing but a simple bartender that is simply good at providing top quality mixed drinks for your typical night out.

  • (Flirtatious) Fresh fit you got there, the level of being handsome that you are is definitely above my scale. That fashion suits you, keep at it.

  • (Panicked) U-Um, let's not talk about why me being a chemist became obsolete. My reason for it is kind of embarrassing, it's not fun to remember at all.

Yua is strict, especially since she is a director. She is straightforward and demanding for whatever task she commits herself to getting done. Despite her strict side, she is actually a nice person. Yua is a nice yet strict person all together, meaning she is not cold/harsh about her strict orders and/or demands. You can get along with Yua without letting her strict side give off a condescending vibe.

How the voice should sound: Medium. Mature woman sounding. Fierce when angry/strict.

  • (Angry) Cut! Cut! CUT! What's wrong with you today!? You need to express it more furiously, stop holding back! Start from the top again, clear? Alright, back to one. Action!

  • (Strict) I do not believe that will be possible. Intern! Call for a pizza on the double, I'm starving! I have no time to waste on the cooking here.

  • (Seductive) Hm? Do you perhaps need some comfort, sweetie? *flirtatious giggles* It's been a long day, I know. Perhaps I can be of some assistance in this comforting process. Come now, dear. We can relax for the day.

Calm and straight forward may sound good for someone like Ryota, yet him being a swordsman tells another story. Ryota may be calm and collected most of the time, but he is not 100% nice, rather he is that reserved wise guy who is not the brightest in the room. Ryota has a cold attitude and is condescending, but doesn't do it too harshly.

How the voice should sound: Medium Low. Slightly soft spoken, yet has cold/condescending vibe.

  • (Threatening) If you know what is best for you, you will stand back and walk out of my sight. Otherwise, my blade will be the final sight you see in your face.

  • It seems... we have reached a dead end. You will not find what you are looking for here. I do not wish to waste more of my energy on this, as I have my limits with things.

Ai is the colorful, optimistic, energetic, enthusiastic, spiritualistic, smiley girl of the group. She is airheaded, but is not dumb as a result of her coding experience, thus making her intelligent. Ai just thinks too happily and rarely thinks badly. She's simply the girl with energy that has blind optimism.

How the voice should sound: High. Bubbly, Hyper and Energetic.

  • (Bragging) I have sooo much experience in coding that I can solve coding in a juf. Way more than you think. Consider it a unique trait of mine, ya know? It is needed for graphic art after all.

In general, Kaede is passionate about looking good as a model, yet at the same time is a shy individual.

Aoi is another shy individual, yet has a way of coping with his introverted personality, which is songwriting. With his coping mechanism, it helps him become less shy around others, though it doesn't last as he can go back to being shy after a certain amount of time. Aoi however is very friendly around others, people find him to be pretty cute inside out.

How the voice should sound: Medium High. Shy and Timid sounding.

  • (Insecure) N-No... I don't sing. I just write songs for people to sing is all. Yeah, that sounds r-really disappointing when put like that. But I did have a pretty pop idol sing one of my songs one time... hopefully that sparks some interest...

  • (Upset) They did it again to me today... they wrote on my shoes while I was gone and took some money from me. I just want it all to stop... but it never gets to a point where that's possible!

  • When writing songs, there's only so much you can put into it when writing. I know so many styles of writing songs, which is why so many come to me for songs they want written for them.

  • Never let them know your next move, it's a dangerous yet useful strategy to use so that you can outsmart the people you're up against. Trust me, it works every time for me.

Ruka is the human incarnate of a meme since he is a streamer. He is the kind of guy who is considered cringe, especially since he is the type to say "that's pretty sus" or something else just as cringe. He is an annoying person with a corny sense of humor. He's apathetic and self-centered, as well as boisterous. Although he isn't a bad person, he is just simply annoying in general.

The other headmaster of the 4 headmasters know as Minoru the chef is a well renowned cook. He cooks great meals, yet his attitude is terrible. He is self-centered, scary and cold towards people. He basically has the personality of the bad guy overall, but is still good at cooking regardless.

Another one of the 4 headmasters, Tsukishima is shy and isn't really good around people. In other words, he isn't a people person and prefers to use his time with plants as the gardener he is.

How the voice should sound: Medium High. Chill, Laid back and slightly reserved sounding.

Shioriko is the last of the headmasters, but is not what you would consider evil. She is a pretty, kind and gentle soul who deserves so much better than the fate she was forced into. She is an angel, as well as soft, gentle, nice and pretty. Doing bas things just isn't really in Shioriko's nature in general.

How the voice should sound: High. Soft, Caring, Gentle and Pretty sounding. Very loud and expressive when sad, in pain, and/or angry.
