TO APPLY:

  • You must be 16+ to apply. Some roles favor people 18+, but it will be stated on their audition information below.

PROJECT INFO:

Danganronpa: System's Trial is a non-profit fangan audio drama which will be posted to YouTube. It is loosely based on the Danganronpa series but is not affiliated with the original media.

Years ago, countries created the Ultimate System: giving people who excel in their field above everyone else the title of an "ultimate". The goal was for these people to serve as a symbol of hope and a shining example to their communities.

As time passed, non-ultimates began questioning if ultimates had lost their meaning and the system had became flawed- causing ultimates to be untouchable and privileged.

As a result of these growing tensions, 16 ultimates find themselves in a twisted killing game as punishment for "letting everyone down" in the game makers eyes. As the games begin they are forced to prove they can still spread hope like they were meant to by surviving the games and rising above the challenge.

    Hello everyone! We have about two weeks until auditions close, and have started Shortlistings and callbacks!

    Please keep an eye on your CCC inbox to see if you have been shortlisted, as well as your discord (or whichever mode of contact you put down) for callback information. Messages will come in from Soap (ediblesoapbar_). Certain roles or auditions may not require a callback, so if you do not hear from us within the next 3 days, you can assume the role you were shortlisted for isn’t one we will be doing callbacks for.

  • Deadline extension

    Hello! This is Soap, the director of Systems Trial with a little update about our audition dates

    After talking to members of our community as well as talking to production, we’ve extended our deadline on VA auditions to March 25th!

Uh-meer Kah-rah-mee (30, He/Him) Ultimate Philanthropist


Amir is a natural leader, and has a way of bringing people together. As the Ultimate Philanthropist, he’s used to addressing large groups of people. Amir is a very kind and generous character, but struggles receiving criticism. 


Amir has a lower masculine voice, and was written for an American or Iranian accent, but all accents will be considered. He’s very well spoken and usually uses more formal language, unless upset.


Amir’s role is 16+, however he is an older member on the cast so you may have a better chance if you are 18+

Kah-ri-suh r-eed (27, She/Her) Ultimate Florist


Carissa is somewhat of a mystery to the gamemakers, no matter how simple she seems to her fellow participants. She appears to be a superficial, dainty, and somewhat ignorant person within the game, however during interviews with the gamemakers she acts aggressive and quick witted, leaving much about her unknown. 


Carissa has a medium or medium-low feminine voice. She was written for an American accent, but all accents will be considered. She has a wide range of emotions in scenes, but mainly fits into either a sharper, cold voice, or a smooth and soft one.


Carissa’s role is 16+, but you will have a better chance to be cast if you are 18+

Lee-oh Em-ree (24, He/Him) Ultimate Artisan


Leo has a gentle demeanor from growing up living with his grandparents (Who he feels nothing but love and gratitude towards). He followed in his late father’s footsteps as an artisan, and found he had a natural talent for a wide range of trades from including woodworking, jewlery making, painting, ceramics, and sculpting. He is a very kind character who wants nothing but the best for everyone.


Leo has a medium masculine voice. He was written for an American or German accent, but all accents will be considered. He speaks in a soft, light voice, and is usually a little nervous when speaking. 


Leo’s role is 16+, but you will have a better chance to be cast if you are 18+

  • (Thoughtful) Deserve? Well, I don’t know. I think the idea of an ultimate artisan is a little weird. You can’t really be the best, everyone is learning from each other and everyone has different skills and styles. I try to keep the ultimate thing pretty private, actually. I don’t like bringing it up at markets and stuff like that. It just feels weird. Like I’m acting as if im better than everyone else.

Rem-ee Luh-veen (20, She/Her) Ultimate Tutor


Remi is a university student who picked up tutoring to help with tuition. She loved the job, and put everything she had into it. Between her patience, kindness, and dedication, she ended up being recruited by the ultimate system. While she loves what she does, part of her wishes she was never given the title of an ultimate. Remi constantly feels the stress of knowing she will lose her title once she graduates, and fears she has already peaked in life. 


Remi has a medium or medium high feminine voice. She was written for an American  accent, but all accents will be considered. She tends to speak in a very kind and welcoming way, but is also quite self conscious which shows through her speech.

Ih-lee-uh Beh-rah-dz-ey (22, He/Him) Ultimate Actor


Ilia started acting as a child, getting into the industry through his father who was the Ultimate Actor as well before passing. Ilia took on big roles as a child. He acted as professionally as the adults in his films which caused eyes to turn to him. Since then, Ilia has appeared in many big titles, seemingly never taking a break. On screen and in interviews, he has a smooth and well spoken persona as expected of a celebrity. In the games however, Ilia is oddly quiet and eerie, leaving all of the other participants wary of him.


Ilia was written for an American accent and is open to any voice range. It’s just important to capture his flat, hollow, and almost eerie way of speaking.

Ahd-joo-ah Uh-san-tay (30, She/her) Ultimate Historian


Adwoa takes her job as a historian very seriously, and gained her title as an ultimate after digging deep into what we know about history to uncover lies and incorrect history to replace them with truth. She is a cynical individual, but very devoted to her work. 


Adwoa has a medium-low or low feminine voice. She was written for an American accent, but all accents will be considered. Adwoa never speaks without thinking, and is quite direct. She has a fairly monotone voice.


Adwoa’s role is 16+, however she is an older member on the cast so you may have a better chance if you are 18+

Basil was a researcher in astrophysics for years before eventually opening his own research facility. He gained his ultimate later in life than most, and is very grateful for it, but is quite humble and insists others deserve equal recognition. 


Basil has a low masculine voice. He was written for a British accent, but all accents will be considered. Basil speaks in a polite and intelligent manner. He doesn’t have a very animated voice, and instead takes on a more down to earth style.

Cecellia is a bold, blunt, and bright force in everything she does. She is chatty, friendly, and skilled which has lead her to being a makeup artist for quite a few big name celebrities- landing her a place in the ultimate system. She truly believes she can do anything she sets her mind to, sometimes leading to her juggling too many things at once, but she always seems to manage. 


Cecellia has a medium-high feminine voice. She was written for an American accent, but all accents will be considered. Cecellia has a very animated way of speaking, and a very bubbly voice as her optimism shines through in her way of speaking.

Piers grew up being raised by faceless people on the internet. As a fairly antisocial kid, he spent most of his childhood watching streamers and content creators online, and wanted to be one of them. Due to his sharp personality however, he doesn’t do well in front of a camera, but is still working with his heroes as a video editor behind the scenes. Despite his ultimate title, Piers feels unappreciated and holds a lot of bitterness that he will never be as known or loved as people in front of the camera.


Piers has a medium masculine voice. He was written for an American accent, but all accents will be considered. Piers is usually in a bad mood, and speaks in an annoyed, skeptical voice. He has a sharp tone in most of his lines.

Meen-ho Jung (20, He/Him) Ultimate Welder


Minho never wanted an ultimate, he just needed a job. While looking for a place to work,  he started a welding apprenticeship since he grew up with a neighbour who taught him the basics. He managed to get hired right out of his apprenticeship and threw himself into the job, needing the money. He hoped becoming an ultimate would let him get more wealth, but all he got was recognition.


Minho has a medium to high voice. He is also a trans male character, so he is open to masculine voices, or any FTM voices. He was written for an American accent, but all accents will be considered. Minho is a slightly awkward character, so some of his lines may come across as tense or blunt, but at his core he does mean well.

Sky Luv-elle (25, She/Her) Ultimate Cryptologist


Skye is a genius in her field. She has a natural skill in mathematics and has used that to work as a professional cryptologist working for her government. She is a kind person, but often struggles in social settings, saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. Since she was young she hasn’t been able to tell when people are trying to be rude towards her, and believes there is good in anyone. 


Skye has a medium-high feminine voice. She was written for an American or British accent, but all accents will be considered. Skye tends to ramble when Speaking, often speaking too loud or too quickly. She has a very animated way of speaking.

Koh-gee Nee-shee-hah-rah (23, He/Him) Ultimate Bartender


Koji is a very charismatic person at work, helping him achieve his ultimate. Before becoming a bartender, he struggled to hold down a job due to his tendency to get aggressive when nervous. The bar he works at quickly became his safe space where he is able to keep his charismatic personality on for the hours he works, and manages to keep his nerves under wraps until he gets home.


Koji has a medium or medium-high masculine voice. He was written for an American accent, but all accents will be considered. Koji has two voices he usually uses: His charasmatic, smooth mask, and his panicked, more aggressive tone. Although one sounds much more practiced, both voices are quite animated. His more aggressive tone should sound a bit more high pitched and much less composed.

Shar-leez Toh-rez (20, They/She) Ultimate Double Bassist


Charlize has been playing the double bass since they were 13, and nowadays preforms in jazz bars with their band. Despite their title, Charlize is openly critical of the ultimate system. She’ll talk at a show, to their band, or to anyone who brings the system up about how useless and unfair the system is. 


Charlize has a low feminine voice. She was written for an American accent, but all accents will be considered. Charlize has a very smooth, laid back way of speaking, but often teases her fellow participants and gets a more joking tone of voice.

Ree-koo-toh Oat-su-ka (25, He/Him) Ultimate Forensic Photographer


Rikuto never had a clear idea of what he wanted to do in life, he just knew he wanted it to involve photography. After graduating college, he needed a job, and wasn’t bothered by the gore of forensics (unlike most in his field), so he took the job out of necessity. He wasn’t honored to be selected by the ultimate system, nor was he too upset.


Rikuto is open to any range in a masculine voice. He was written for an American accent, but all accents will be considered. Rikuto is short tempered and cold when speaking, and often says things without thinking.

Thee-mis (They/It)


Themis is the Mascot of the games who serves as the main mode of communication between the gamemakers and participants. It has two distinct parts of its personality leaving much unknown about its true motives. Its first side is impartial and apathetic with a very monotone way of speaking. The second other side appears sadistic and almost manic, excited to watch the chaos of the games, and hoping the participants harm each other. These sides of Themis change day by day.


Themis is written for any gender or voice range, the only thing we will be looking for is your ability to hit its two distinctive ways of speaking, which we will clearly differentiate in the lines.

Staff 01 understands more than anyone on the cast the issues of the ultimate system. He’s here to judge the cast, observing if they will harm each other when pushed to their limits. In his mind, if they do, they deserve anything that happens to them in the games. In his mind, they’re so tied into a flawed system that any harm that comes to them is justified.


Staff 01 has a low masculine voice. He was written for an American or Dutch accent, but all accents will be considered. He speaks in a very direct, cold voice. He has a formal way of speaking, but he doesn't waste time in conversation.


Staff 01’s role is 16+, however he is an older member on the cast so you may have a better chance if you are 18+

I have a few questions to go over with you, and the sooner they are completed the better for both of us. May we begin? (Pause) Then please take a seat. To begin, please state your name and ultimate.

  • (Formal) If you look in the drawer to your left, you will find a small collection of your personal items. Look through them, and don’t forget to take the key on top of the drawer, please place it in a pocket or on your person somewhere.

  • (Tired) I’m going to lay down. Are you okay to take over for a bit?

Staff 02 could be described in one word: unpredictable. She thinks the staff of the killing game have a responsibility to bring the same harm to the participants that their system has brought to the rest of the world. Despite this, sometimes it’s questioned if she even cares about the system, or if she’s just doing this for a sick sense of entertainment.


Staff 02 has a high to medium-high feminine voice. She was written for an American accent, but all accents will be considered. Staff 02 is very animated in her speech, and finds humor in things most people can’t. She laughs at weird moments, speaks in a sing-song tone, and never seems to be unhappy.
