Hexguns: Season 2 Episode 1
Project Overview
This is the first episode of the second season of a soon-to-be-released audio drama named Hexguns. We are a fairytale, alternative history set in turn of the 19th century Portland, Oregon. Please help us bring our vision to life in this original story that follows humans, wizards, elves, dwarves, and various other Fae as they deal with the difficulties of learning to exist together, all while dealing with the complications of early industrialization.

Kevin Murphy is the eldest son of a successful farmer and has followed in his father's footsteps. He is young, but his reputation as a hard worker has made him a well-respected member of the community.

That's why I wanted to come see you. We have a need for your services again. Blackbriar is back, and there are Pinkertons in the valley.
We've tried. We can't get a meeting with him, and he hasn't been to a community meeting in years.
We're sure. We're not sure what he's up to, but the Pinkertons are harassing the local farmers, again.
Voice Actor
This character is unnamed and simply known as Instructor. He is a teacher who was educated at the best schools in Europe and is currently employed as a private tutor for two young men in a noble's house. He is well paid for his services, and teaches a variety of subjects. The focus of his lesson for this episode will be ethics.

Young Theron is the teenage version of one of our main characters. He was born into a noble household, but feels trapped by looming responsibility and yearns to rebel. He is adventurous, clever, and tend to notice things that the adults around him do not. Vaguely British fantasy accent is highly encouraged!

Young Derrick is the teenage version of one of our main characters. He is a compassionate young man who is destined by prophecy to do great things. He is the adoptive son of a scheming noble house, and the loyal companion to his older brother, Theron.

Mr. Murphy is a successful farmer who desires to protect his family and is willing to fight when necessary to do so. His son, Kevin, grows up to be a well-respected member of the farming community, largely due to his father's influence.

Orphean Orian is a nobleman and the father of 3 sons, one of whom is adopted. This role is in two timelines for this episode. In the past timeline, Orphean put his duties as a nobleman and his political scheming ahead of two of his children. In the present timeline, he is extremely angry over a decision two of his three children made many years earlier. Vaguely British fantasy accent is highly encouraged!

Nolan Windstrom is a calculating and murderous adversary for the detectives. He knows who murdered his son decades ago, and is actively enacting his revenge.

Mr. Cunningham is a hired gun who is smarter than most and tries to keep his boss from doing tactically unwise things.

This character is a killer sent to murder an innocent teenage girl. He isn't very smart, but he is ruthless and enjoys a cat and mouse approach to murder.

Eric is the rash, headstrong teenage son of Nolan Windstrom. Eric's death fuels his father's thirst for revenge for over a decade.

Eleana Orian is the loving and doting mother of the detectives. She stands up to injustice and believes her status as Baroness will insulate her from the evils of the world. Unfortunately, she is wrong and it costs her her life.
